    Not biked for several years just started again with a Ribble gravel bike, I would recommend it anyday really comfy and easy ride even up those big hills

    Great review ordered one today. Went with the SL Disc 105 Di2 group set GP5000 tubeless tires

    Great review. I'm looking at getting either an endurance sl or maybe even endurance ti. I'm from leeds in Yorkshire and ribble have a shop/showroom in Clitheroe' Lancashire and have both models I'm interested in stock to look at. The only problem is the estimated delivery time is April 2022

      Unfortunately that seems to be the trend with almost anything that you hope to get customized for yourself (in some cases even just to order). but getting the option to sit on them and even just see them in person is a great opportunity and you should definitely take it!

      My missus ordered an Endurance SL disc Di2 4 weeks ago with an original delivery date of July 2022. It's arriving this Friday, free upgrade to 12 speed 8100 as well. :)

    Level is Ribble in house component/accessories brand

    great content. I am also interested in getting a Ribble. Which country are you from? can you talk about how much you paid for import / custom and sales tax?

    You mentioned you regret not going for the large size. Can I ask how tall you are because I am weighing up the large and xl? Thanks!

    • @lloydofall

      Absolutely I am 6 foot two and i have a 34 inch inseam pant. I also prefer to have my bike feel a little bit tighter for races. Feel free to ask any other questions that you have!

    • @GazRadCycling
      @GazRadCycling 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m also 6ft 2…I went for large. To me this is the correct size. The large looks good to me up to 6.4 unless you’re more torso. I generally size down frames where I could potentially fall in 2 sizes

      @@GazRadCycling The thing is, I'm 6'2" and I tried a Ribble hybrid bike in large and it was much too small, so I figured this endurance SL in large would also be too small.
      But now I'm not too sure.

    • @GazRadCycling
      @GazRadCycling 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@colinjava8447 wouldn’t surprise me if a hybrid, given they’re usually totally different geometry did feel small. Shorter top tube and probably greater stand over. Not sure where you are but a bike fitter with a rig should be able to tell you which size is best if you can’t get to a Ribble dealer to check sizing

    • @colinjava8447

      @@GazRadCycling I can get to the Birmingham Ribble store, I'm not sure if they let you sit on the bikes though, that was the impression I got from the guy I know who just got his hybrid.
      Seems on this Endurance SL, there's only a 15mm difference in the top tube length between L and XL.
      On my large Cannondale trail 6 MTB, I had to extend the stem by 30mm to make it feel more natural, but road bike handle bars extend further out, so its a bit different.
      I guess I need to ask them before I go into the store.

    If SL stands for super light that’s one thing it isn’t

  • @028healey
    @028healey 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I see your dust cap between the frame and the stem doesn't stay straight either! after a lot of to and fro with ribble mechanics (including a lot of BS) they recommended insulating tape to keep it in place!! which does work but is ridiculous on a high end bike.

    • @lloydofall
      @lloydofall  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always felt like that was such a strange thing to be lacking or a good quality bike. I do like that idea though!

    • @028healey
      @028healey 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lloydofall yeah its crazy, on the integrated bar version they built in a slot to secure the spacers to the dust cap but not on ours!! A couple of loops of black insulating between the spacers and the dust cap does sort it.

    How tall are you? I've just ordered this in an XL and I'm about 6ft 2

      I am 6ft 2 as well . I am also around the 200 lbs mark.

  • @colinjava8447
    @colinjava8447 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Please tell me your height, I'm 6'2" and was considering the same bike with XL frame.
    I rode a Ribble hybrid in large, and it was really cramped, I would've needed XL on that bike.
    Thanks.

      @@lloydofall Thanks, is there any particular reason you chose this one over the R872, is it just a better made frame?

    • @lloydofall
      @lloydofall  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@colinjava8447 it was not the better area of the frame and the overall look of the bike seemed to be more what I saw my self using for future races.
