That's awesome! Wish I knew about this when my kids were young and ate the store bought version.
It is not so late. You can make for grand children .
@@medihakaya4593 True, and I hope I have grandchildren to make it for someday 💗💕
@ You will. In the meantime try making anyway. It will be fun
Yeah I know right? So easy to make at home. My mom used to make apricot fruit leather all the time, but he had a dedicated 6 tray dehydrator growing up.
@ It is very traditional in Turkey and we call it “pestil”. After cutting we roll nuts in them or dry them with small crashed nuts. They are yummy and healthy. Thanks for reminding my childhood with your recipe.
These look crazy-delicious!
Thanks! Definitely yummy and so easy to make.
OMG! 🤩 You made that look so easy and quick. I always thought you had to dehydrate it and let it cook for hours or overnight. I'm going to make these as I continue to look for healthy snacks. Thanks Matt, you're AWESOME! 🥰😘
Thank you! Yes, it is very easy, although I probably could have let it go longer, or put it bag in after I peeled to get those spots that weren't quite done haha, it just all depends on how level you get it, and I will say specific dehydrators do a better job than the oven, the oven works well too.
Your timing is impeccable! Have strawberries left from a recipe n was wondering what to do with them! Thx, Matt; can't wait to try this!
Awesome!! Let me know how it turns out once you try it. Just remember to spread it as even as possible otherwise some parts will get done more than others as shown by the few spots in this video. I could have let it go longer in the oven, but the thinner spots would have gotten to crispy and I didn't want that haha.
@inthekitchenwithmatt I wish there was a tool to make things roll evenly. I do have a metal rolling pin with different size rubber rollers, but I haven't had good fortune with it 😂
@@sandyseas8355 haha yeah the rolling pin can be tricky, I wouldn't use it for this, you can tap the pan on the counter which will help level it out too, a offset cake spatula will will too and be better than using a spoon like I used, I was being a little lazy lol
@inthekitchenwithmatt OK, my bad! Didn't follow directions; mashed strawberries THEN cooked them. Went from memory-bad idea. Then put it in the oven. You never know, sometimes gr8 recipes come from screwups. I'll let you know LOL🤣🤣🤣
@@sandyseas8355 That will be fine too! :)
Yummy!!❤
Thank you!
Fabulous!
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for this video
You are so very welcome!
Going to get the kids involved in this one! YUMMY!
Awesome!!
Looks great! Seems like something that would work with pretty much any fruit (or at least berry), is that the case? Might be fun to try with other things as well as strawberry. :)
Thanks! Yes it will work with lots of fruits and berries!
Yummy 😋
Thank you!!
Thanks Matt 😊
You are very welcome!!
I really like the beard, Matt!
Thank you so much!! :)
