I think, one of the main reasons, music was better back then, is because there were actual musicians. People had real talent. They didn't just hit a keyboard or use auto tone.
Until artists realize this and demand that the studio executives stop trying to make everything "perfect" it will only get worse. Of course you must have talent to be brave and go that way. ❤️✌️ Btw, for what it's worth, I'm glad that your dads rubber broke! 😂😂
Another very versatile artist with a "jazz vibe" for you to check out would be Van Morrison. equally proficient in up tempo (Moondance) to ballads (Tupelo Honey).
What strikes me is how music then was so much more sophisticated... whether it's jazzy or got rich harmonies or talented musicians... and this is what we heard and loved in high school. That primed us to appreciate quality music for a lifetime. High schoolers today generally don't hear such musical depth... would they listen to a jazzy funk song? They're probably prefer an autotuned monotonous beat. The younger generation needs to be saved... expose them to all types of music!
Young man, I'm 80 years old, and your wisdom is beyond your years; you understand that music is healing. How real musicians putting passion and their skill at work is an explosive expression of humanity and expression.
Waaay back when the radio was the biggest outside influence for music, if you you were lucky you had a station that played not only current music, but played overnight album sides. And the DJs were on the phone when you called in requests. And if you had a really fun guy you ended up chatting for, gosh, sooo long. Only breaks were when the guys had to change the records. Great memories
Wind chill here on the plains of Eastern Montana are -40, too. It's dangerously cold. Good music gets me through the worst of things. Keep discovering the classics, and keep on doing a great job!
DUDE!!! I'm 63! I was 20 years old in 1982!!! You're at the Age that WE were when we FIRST Heard these 70-80s Classics!!! MY Heart was HOOKED!!! YOU are NOW being BLESSED by the BEST Music EVER!!!!!!
Can you believe song after song after song….how much great music came out of the 60s and 70s??? There is so much more! I was fortunate to be alive at that time! You still need to check out Sunny by Bobby Hebb 1963 but timeless!
You are such a beautiful, positive person! It’s nice to watch the joy on your face as you listen to the music of these eras, we’re so lucky to have it❤
Youve heard the studio versions of a couple huge Boz Skaggs hits. You might really enjoy a live version of a few more fantastic tunes from the 2004 concert at The Great American Music Hall. You'll get to see and hear the amazing back up vocalists as well as all the other talented musicians on that stage! Try: Breakdown Dead Ahead Jojo Look What You've Done to Me (Miss Monique's high notes at the end will blow your mind!) Other Boz tunes to check out: Georgia What Can I Say Harbor Lights
Oooooo, you found one of my favorites! They sure hit a groove! ❤ Try “We’re All Alone” and “Look what you’ve done to me” both sweet and memorable. Oh, JoJo too.
You definitely want to hear Jo Jo next. Others from him: What Can I Say, You Make It Hard (To Say No), Hercules, Georgia. For some silky smooth ballads (he's a master) check out Harbor Lights, We're All Alone and Slow Dancer. Boz is an amazing artist!
I loved this song and wore the album out back in the 70’s. Got to see him live once. Boz doing “ Look What You’ve Done to Me”…live video has to be next. He is the coolest dude. The musicianship and backup singers in that video make it a real experience. His voice is like no other. Very soulful!
Boz is also a crooner from the old school. Check out his soulful ballads "Harbor Lights" and "We're All Alone". Be careful when you play that last around women, though. It knocks the birdies out of the tree every time. ## ; ^ )
This is such a head-bopping song. It's impossible to listen to without some part of your body moving to the music. Boz Scaggs made music that just makes you happy. I can see in your face that you might agree. I'm in Arizona and it's 59 here today and I am SO cold. I don't think I could survive 45 below. 🤣
I have over a thousand old school rock pop and r&b CD's (compact discs) original issue not remastered and hundreds of LP's and play them on a TEAC rack stereo system when I have free time the sound quality is so much better than what's on YT.
Boz Scaggs has so many great songs, both fast and slow. And as good as the studio versions...his live stuff is even better. A couple of his songs reactors do not often do: Miss Sun Cool Running
If you like Boz, you should check out Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons doing Who Loves You. Frankie & the Four Seasons were huge in the 60's but updated their sound for the 70's and this was one of the 70's hits. Look for the video. It's them in a studio.
Another great Boz hit is "Georgia." I think you'll enjoy that, too. Loving your reactions! (P.S. Music got worse as record company's greed got worse. It's all relative.)
I subscribed to your channel because I like the music you lisren to. I'm 76 so I know and have seen nearly all of the bands and musicians you react to. You say you would like suggestions. No one ever listens to my suggestions. Will you? The song is " NO MORE NO MORE" is is by AEROSMITH, when they had balls, before they turned into a dickless ballad band. Thank you.

The love of music is written all over your face.
Mad respect.
Welcome, that was the smile we had in the 1970’s 😎
Back in the 70s, when you listened to the radio everything was a banger. Man life was great back then. Enjoy your musical journey 💯💯💯
Look What You’ve Done To Me is a great ballad

I love to see a young man like you reacting to real music and I also love that you don't stop the song while you react. Thank you.
This brings me back in time you’re are an Old Soul
Love your reactions. Agter seeing him in concert, the only word that came to mind was cool.
Bassline so thick you could park a truck on it.
Boz plays the blues too, check out Lend Me A Dime.

This takes me back to my senior year in high school!!! Boz slows it down for "Love, look what you've done to me" absolutely is fire!!! ♥️🔥
I love that one.❤
@@LillyMarz777 There's a great live version of Boz later in his career, with a great band and backup singers.
@@rayj1011 amazing backup singers on that video!! ♥️
I agree, the live version which is on TH-cam where he is a bit older is sensational.
Wind chill here on the plains of Eastern Montana are -40, too. It's dangerously cold. Good music gets me through the worst of things. Keep discovering the classics, and keep on doing a great job!
When you're in the mood for some tender moments from the Silk Degrees album, check out 'Harbor Lights' and 'We're All Alone' 💖
“We’re All Alone” is a great follow up by Boz.
Please more videos....miss the passion of the artists.
My Mom had this record! I'd be in my room playing with my dolls singing!

Do more Boz Skaggs!! Kind of jazzy. Sade was jazzy also. Both crossover groups.
Oooooo, you found one of my favorites! They sure hit a groove! ❤ Try “We’re All Alone” and “Look what you’ve done to me” both sweet and memorable. Oh, JoJo too.
I really like your reactions to these videos. One of the best!. Hope you have a good 2025.

And it is not repetitive when you say it
Music was different in my teenage years in the 60’s and 70’s, different, real musicians, passion and life
I loved this song and wore the album out back in the 70’s. Got to see him live once. Boz doing “ Look What You’ve Done to Me”…live video has to be next. He is the coolest dude. The musicianship and backup singers in that video make it a real experience. His voice is like no other. Very soulful!
ANY song off of the Silk Degrees album is recommended! They are all good! 👍
Boz: “We’re All Alone” and “Harbor Lights”….subdued, not jazzy, but beautiful….
Boz is also a crooner from the old school. Check out his soulful ballads "Harbor Lights" and "We're All Alone". Be careful when you play that last around women, though. It knocks the birdies out of the tree every time. ## ; ^ )
The album Silk Degrees is 🔥🔥🔥🔥you can pick any track and I promise you that you will love it. Boz is the man!
I wore it out! Great album. 😊

This tune is always on my happy song playlist! Nice reaction 🤠
Makes me happy, smiling and I want to dance. LOVED IT !!!!!
Feel good, story-telling music! ❤
Lido was a player
You seem to have a soft spot for the jazzy/blues sounds. Your face lights up.
What a cool song

I wish you could have been with us in the 1970’s, on a beach, bonfire, good friends and the absolute best music, you would have loved the vibe
The whole Silk Degrees is the best. Every song is awesome. One of my favorites is "Georgia"
*Bro! My favorite song of his: "Breakdown Dead Ahead." Should be next!*
🙌🏾💪🏾👊🏾
Check out JoJo and Look What You’ve Done to Me
Jojo next please!! Get to see a little jazzier side of Boz.
Boz Scaggs has so many great songs, both fast and slow.
And as good as the studio versions...his live stuff is even better.
A couple of his songs reactors do not often do:
Miss Sun
Cool Running

Enjoy the ride ❤😂🎉😢😢😮😅😊😊❤❤
Check out "loan me a dime" with Duane Allman on guitar ,its a blues #
Please check out "We're All Alone" (from this album), "Look What You've Done To Me", & "Jo Jo"! Honestly, there's really no bad songs by Boz.
I also suggest his Breakdown Dead Ahead.
The next songs you should react to by him are Breakdown Dead Ahead, Look What You've Done To Me, Jojo, and We're All Alone.
I love when young people discover my music! You are awesome ❤❤❤
Boz' two other biggest hits are ballads, but fire. We're All Alone and Look What You've Done to Me. Keep with the studio versions of these.
Another great Boz hit is "Georgia." I think you'll enjoy that, too. Loving your reactions! (P.S. Music got worse as record company's greed got worse. It's all relative.)
If you like saxophone give a listen to Boz’s song titled JoJo.
You’ll be blown away.
we got to find one that will make you move lol
You have to dance to the number ..

You would really like Delbert McClinton then.

Billy Joel comes to mind when I hear this one...and Elton John as well. Not as cool as funky as Low Down for sure.
