    Thanks from Australia! Turns out my (gel) grenade was missing the o-ring on the red "projectile" part. Would never have problem solved it without your video!

    Hey mate, I think you've misunderstood how these grenades work. The moving part in the black part isn't the trigger, the balls are, in a way. The balls prevent the black part moving downwards because the curved recess in the 'shell' part pushes them inwards onto the 'primer' part. When the primer is pushed up, the balls can move inwards because they are now inline with the narrower part of the shaft, this allows gas pressure to push the black part down opening the chamber and allowing gas into the shell and therefore up the ammo tubes. Also this is why the big o-ring being dry won't cause a leak, there is no gas stored between the 'grenade' and shell, it's all in the grenade. Not trying to be a dick, just thought you'd like to know =)

      Thanks for the information, much appreciated. I will openly admit I'm certainly no expert when it comes to these grenades. As you probably saw though I can certainly take them apart🤣. I've always oiled o rings to solve leaking problems where gas is involved. Very interesting to hear the exact method they work so thanks for sharing.

      #sam I need help, every time I fill mine they make a flubber noise, I thought it was oring not holding tight enough, possibly the spring loosing compression, it’s the damn bearings!!!! Mine fall out easily so people suggesting to use something like Vaseline, but that is making the bearings not move therefore they can grip the black thing so it’s flubbing when I fill it. What are your thoughts ?

    I have a asg 40mm orange tip where you just pour bbs in, and ive put oil and grease where you said and its still leaking from the small silver hole in the bottom of the button.

      Hi. That's not good, I'm sorry to hear that your 40mm is misbehaving. In that case I would have a good luck at all of the orings and ensure that none are perished or deformed. If they are then they will need to be replaced. Failing that the next must likely culprit would be the fill valve. If possible you could remove it and check that it is not visibly in bad shape, replacement is probably going to be an option, but they normally aren't to expensive. If its new I'd get your supplier to replace it though rather than go to the hassle of repair.
      Hope this helps.

    What’s the problem when the gas comes out from all the holes the bbs come out from when putting the gas in

    • @rockbottomairsoft
      @rockbottomairsoft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately I've had this myself. I have not discovered a fix for this. They should be retained by a small oring. I've found that in most cases they will stay put but sometimes they even fall out in the pouch.

      @@rockbottomairsoft man I bought one few months ago barely opened it used it once now when I put the gas it instantly comes out the holes the bbs come out of

      Sorry I misunderstood the question. I thought you meant the BB's fell out. If the gas is ejecting straight away then check that the trigger is properly reset(the button on the base). Sometimes if they are not reset and properly seated the gas will escape. If that's not it then a good lube up may solve the problem.
      Hope this helps.

      @@rockbottomairsoft how do you reset it new to this

    • @rockbottomairsoft
      @rockbottomairsoft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The button on the base of the grenade, if you press it in that will release the gas and trigger the grenade. Sometimes after firing it will not reset ready to take gas. Press it in and allow it to come out it should come back flush. Hard to describe but you will know when it's reset if that makes sense.

    Im looking at getting the S&T m203 is the red topped 40mm grenades the highy recommended ones??

    • @rockbottomairsoft
      @rockbottomairsoft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice launcher. To be fair the 40mm grenades are a mixed bag. I've got all sorts of different ones. The red topped ones in the video are shower grenades with multiple openings in the top for bb loading. To be fair my preferred 40mm are the ones that have a bung in the top and you just pour the bb's in like this one:
      www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/asg-airsoft-grenade-40mm-6mm-bb-65rd-green-gas-15500-p.asp
      They do bigger capacity ones as well. There are also Co2 variants as well.
      I hope this helps.

    Happen to know the green o ring size?

    • @rockbottomairsoft
      @rockbottomairsoft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can vary depending on the manufacturer, type and size of your particular 40mm grenade. I normally keep a stock of various size o-rings. You can get boxes of various sizes from motor parts suppliers and on line. Here in the UK Halfords stock them and lots of sellers on ebay. Really affordable and there are usually sizes fit for gas mags as well as grenades in there.
      I hope this helps.
