Absolutely beautiful! Something shuts down in me when I look at a crochet pattern and try to make sense of it but watching your tutorials I can follow and make beautiful things! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
I am 73 and I have been crocheting since I was 20 years old. You are so thorough and skilled that I can still learn from you, Crystal. And I enjoy just watching and listening to you.😊
For our beginner crocheters - just a little clarification... although you START by chaining an EVEN number, when you work the single crochet back you will end with an ODD number of stitches - you haven't done anything wrong. For instance, you chain 20 (even), and then work the first row of single crochet back, you will have 19 stitches across. This is correct! :)
The reason you lose a stitch - going from 20 to 19 - is you work the first sc into the 2nd chain. This is important to understand if you work up a foundation single crochet, which I prefer for color changing yarns.
@@theresespencer2827 Yep, exactly. Also something to keep in mind if you DON'T do a "foundation row" of single crochet... like if you are switching to this stitch from another stitch pattern in a project that you are designing yourself.
Hi Crystal. I just started crocheting this as a blanket. It's so easy. I'm using Nako mona Lisa in the same color as you. I bought the yarn when they had the sale and the code you gave us. Thank you very much for all that you do for us. It's much appreciated . Hugs Donna 💙 💙💙💙💙
I think it's amazing that you have all these stitch patterns in your head. I know you had to learn them when you were young, but I would've forgotten most of them by now if it was me. So I thank you for once again sharing your knowledge with us, and teaching it in an easy to follow manner. It is a very pretty stitch.
@@MARCIA.ZZZZZZ That's a shame. Keep trying and one day it will click. Do you use a stitch marker at the beginning and end of a row? I still do most of the time. It lets me know exactly where to put the first and last stitch.
@@MARCIA.ZZZZZZ I put my stitch marker into the stitch as soon as I've completed it. I put it in through both loops of the stitch that rests just under the loop on the hook. I hope that makes sense. I would be easier to see in a video rather than reading words about how to do it.
Just received a knitted scarf from my daughter in the mail. I think I'll use this stitch to crochet her one in return! Love the stitch. I'm new and was able to follow along easily. Thanks so m6ch for all the great videos.
Though this is not a pattern I want to use, you are my absolute favorite on TH-cam to learn patterns from. Right now I’m 3 1/4 off the way finished with a big 3d seashell puff stitch. Soon I’ll be using another of your patterns and several projects from now I’m planning to use your pattern for motifs for a big body blanket for my sister. Thanks for saying in the ones that look intimidating I know this looks complicated but if you can do a double crochet, you got this. You tend to say that right about the time I’m about to say I can’t do that
I love this stitch, OH! Crystal, since 2018 I have learnt a lot from your teaching , my hands and feet starting with arthritis, so I have slowed down crochet is coming back in vogue.lovely thank you ❤😊
Such a beautiful stitch Crystal! I crocheted with cotton yarn (I Love This Cotton yarn by Hobby Lobby) and an "I" hook with you and it turned out so pretty... I am going to try to use this stitch in one of my next projects ❤
This stitch is just what I was looking for. My 15 yr old chi is always cold and needed a new blanket. She only weighs 7 lbs so I wanted a pattern that wouldn't be too heavy but still kept her warm. This is perfect and is so pretty. Thank you Crystal!
Thanks to you I’m learning how to crochet. I found one of your videos from a year ago and you went slow explaining every step and I was so excited. I thought yes I can do that. I appreciate you and your channel so much and just wanted to say thank you.
Crystal, you have so many beautiful stitches to choose from that my mind gets boggled but this stitch really spoke to me. Going out for the yarn today. Thank you for all your work with the rescue animals too.
Oh what a gorgeous stitch!! 😍 I’m heading over to my stash right now to grab some yarn and start a blanket. Thanks very much, Crystal! Love this one. ❤
This is a nice stitch. I will try it. I have one stitch from you that keeps my sides straight and I have been using it for everything. lol Thanks Crystal.
I swear Crystal, I have a love hate relationship with your crochet tutorials....I 💞them because you're always showing us wonderful stiches and I feel more like an expert every time you teach me a new one. I hate them - because you're constantly showing us new beautiful stiches that I want to drop whatever I'm doing to start the new one I've just learned from you. I HAVE TO FINISH MY WIP's!!!!! - I think at this point I 15 projects because I keep something new from you....😍 - Thank you again for another great tutorial. May you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Christmas.
Thank you, I love this stitch. I had some ugly yarn lol and I used this stitch. It actually looked really pretty, so afghan here I come. Love your tutorials, so easy to follow.
Ohhh, I like this a lot!! It's very similar to a stitch I'm using now for the "hood" part of a "turtleneck hood" I'm making. The stitch I'm using is another stitch tutorial you did recently - a 3-stitch cluster without skipping a stitch in the middle. I don't remember the name of it. In fact, if I ever had any criticism for your tutorials, it's that you don't put the name of the stitch in the title (so I can remember them and find them again in my HUGE long playlist of your stitch tutorials I have saved). Thank you so much, Crystal... you always keep something on my hook!
Hi Crystal. Hope all is well. What a beautiful stitch and easy peasy. Thank you for the tutorial. Definitely will be making a blanket out of this stitch. Have a great evening. Donna 💙 💙 💙 💙 💙
Thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge! I first saw/learned this stitch on another creators channel...that creator did not speak at all, did not give the name of the stitch, and for the pattern you had to buy a subscription! I figured it out, mostly, but the edges were all wonky because she didnt explain how to ent the row...That creator does do, beautiful projects but to not even name the stitch seemed wrong to me...i knew you would have a better tutorial, including the info I needed to have nice, straight edges! I literally searched every blanket tutorial you have that looked similar until I found it! Thanks for being you!
Hi Crystal, Thank you for all the tutorials and videos you have provided all year. This is a pretty stitch. I wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
A new addition to the stitch library. I see a stitch sampler blanket in my future. One block at a time😊. Thank You Crystal for helping improve my skills.🎉 Merry Christmas 🎄
Love this stitch, very easy and pretty, I'm making a scarf then I think I'll make a lapghan. love watching your tutorials. 😺 I'm going to make a throw for my cat Franky, 🐈 he loves anything soft to lay on.
Absolutely Beautiful Stitch!! So pretty and simple, yet easy and fast. I love this stitch. Thank You Very Much Crystal for teaching in à way that makes everything easy to follow and learn. Renae
This is a really beautiful stitch on both sides!! Love ❤️ it and will be using it for sure!! Thank you so much for your tutorial working this stitch with all of us. 👍🏼❤️🥰🧶🤠💕
I never thought that there were so many pretty stitches. I like learning new stitches. I just wonder if this would work well a carbon late cake or would I be crazy to use it.
Hi Crystal, I've recently started following you. I just love watching you explain everything so clearly. I always look forward to your videos which I watch on my phone or my kindle. Keep them coming hun. Take care, Debs xxx 😍
What a beautiful stitch! I ca m't wait to try it on a scarf for practice before doing a blanket. I love how solid it is. Thanks for everything you've taught me the last six months. Have a very Merry Christmas with your family.

Thank you! I was thinking great I messed up 😂

Crystal does explain this thoroughly in all her videos xx
Oh how pretty!
I think this stitch will make a beautiful cardigan ❤
Thanks Crystal!
WOW! That is an gorgeous stitch, and you make it amazingly easier for us to follow. You're a Great Tutor! The best!

QUESTION: Would you use a bigger hook to do a blanket?? To give it a better drape??
Austin TX USA
You've done it again. Thanks you Crystak!

I have 2 baby blankets to make for some friends. I'm going to use this pattern. I love the texture! Beautiful!
What a pretty stitch😍 Just finished your cowl/neck warmer for a friend of mine & now he wants a cat hat so I'm making that now. Ty Crystal!! ✨✨✨
Very pretty stitch! Thank you Crystal for all you do! ❤
This stitch is my new personality 😍😍😍 so nice to do something easy AND looks super elegant, I'm tired of boring old double or half double crochet 🤣

Hi Crystal, I love your tutorials and the photography is also amazing. I’m just a beginner, so those close ups are so vital to us newbies.
I love all your tutorials! Thank you!! ❤
That’s such a pretty stitch. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Beautiful. I like how you break down the stitch. You take a stitch that looks complicated and make it do-able. Thank you.
Very nice stitch. I'll try this one soon! Thanks Crystal! You are such a great teacher.😊
