  • Quick video to show you how easy it is to instal the Tesla Model Y PPF kit on the rear doors! Enjoy!
    Still waiting on the heated steering wheel to be delivered from Tesla.
    Also still waiting on my Unplugged Performance coilover kit!
    More videos soon. Let me know in the comments if there are more things you’d like to see me try for you!

    it's not recommended to use paper towels to clean the surface of the paint, because it can cause microscratches. I'd recommend to use microfiber towels insteat which minimize the risk of doing any damage to the clear coat, even with high pressure applied.

    nice work! thanks for putting this video up, makes it easier.
    a suggestion would be to put all the stuff required in the description of this video. makes it easier to note on what is required to do this!

    Is there a second option, putting on mudflaps, perhaps they cause more drag too? I think the PPF looks better.

    Instructions are great on video, I ended up removing. Had a slight yellowish tint that stood out on white. Didn’t like the look.

    What if the paint already has chips on it? Is it still advisable to put the film on?

    I have used pre-cut kits before. Over time, dirt will accumulate on the edges and the edges will be very visible. This problem is most visible on white cars. That is why I now wrap the entire door and tuck the edges behind the panels or leave no space between the edge and the body panel.

    After two years, how is pff? Did it turn yellow? Does any dirt stick to it? What is the feedback?

      Apply ceramic coat on ppf and you’re ppf going to look perfect / ‘maintain your ceramic coat by using sealant.

    Hmmm , why Tesla just sell that little piece. It will show the edge line eventually , what’s the point ?

    from what i know you are supposed to wash it, clay it, polish it, then decontaminate it etc before this can be applied. seems to be too much work just trying to prepare the care for application of PPF.. and then this aint easy either (if you plan to cover the whole car that is)..

    Did the 19” tires ride better than the 21’s?

    • @cybertruckfuture
      @cybertruckfuture  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not significantly better. My 19” setup is winter tires, and now realize they are quite a bit noisier than the stock 21”. The difference in ride quality is negligible in my mind. I might feel differently if I tried the 19” OEM Gemini wheels and tires...never driven a Y with those on it.

      It’s the Tesla kit. You get it on the Tesla website.
