    Judd is awesome. Not many hubby's would pick up the camera and finish the video. And he did it so well. Hope you're feeling better, Jacque and that the treatment gives you some relief. 💙💚❤💛💜

    So happy for you having such a caring team to help you Jaquie. I've been searching for a doctor that will do the same procedure for me. My left hip tends to be the worst pain area. I don't tolerate a lot of meds, but I have had Toradol I.M. injections in the glutial area. This helps when I'm having a bad Elhers Danlos flare. I have had small doses of Ketamine as " twilight" sedation. Just to relax me for endoscopy & colonoscopy. Not nearly enough to be therapeutic. Is it possible for you to give the name of the doctor that does these procedures. I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me. 💙 also tell Judd he does a great job vlogging for you. 👍

    Hello, my name is Justice. I've watched you for a while now. I live in Neveda where my insurance won't cover a geneticists. Today I was told by one of my doctors that I'm beyond their expertise but I should reach out to the EDS community to try to find help. My health is currently declining at steady pace and I'm getting to the point that I really need help. I live with my Fiance but he works during the day most days of the week. If I can get diagnosed, I can finally look into getting help. Any helpful answer is welcome

    My friend knows I suffer with chronic pain and high depression and anxiety and he found a song that helps calm him down. So he randomly messages me with the song link and a simple explanation. I almost cried. It was such a nice feeling that they were thinking of me. Maybe it'll help you! It's called Drowning by Excision. It has a really nice flow of beat that reminds me to breathe in time.

    Are you able to still get IV Benadryl for home use with the National IV diphenhydramine shortage. I have IVIG due next week and have to get a dose before and after for the three days in a row I infuse ivig.

    I understand the anxiety of plan changes. We get attached to people who do procedures because there’s out of control feelings and we just wanna know things will go well. Hang in there, all will be well.

    The new guy will have all your records from past procedures so he/she can give you the same meds, doses etc as the other one! It’s all there and he will know what to be looking for in terms of how you are reacting to the meds and if you are waking up etc...you will be in good hands!

    Hi Jaquie, Love the new socks. Judd looks good with a mustache. I guess it took her a long time to wake up because she needs a lot of anesthesia to put her under. Nice of Judd to finish the video. :)

    Weird question... I only know one person (and possibly me) who has EDS and we are both dancers. I know eds makes ligaments and joints flexible and the severity and what portions change per person. But one thing I have always wondered is are people with EDS generally able to do things like the splits? Or does it only really change normal people in just the part that holds the joints together, not the muscles and ligaments that go into that kind of flexibilty? I hope this makes some sort of sense... sorry I am new to EDS and its possible diagnosis for me. I only learned about it and asked my doctors about it because I learned about it from you! So thank you for that!

    • @brookemaxwell9558
      @brookemaxwell9558 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Splits rely more on stretched muscles; I know some EDS’ers have tighter muscles which prevent them from doing a split

    • @samiamisme
      @samiamisme 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not sure I totally understood your question, but wanted to try and respond. I'm a former dancer. My first dislocation, knee, came at 14, but I had been dancing since I was 5, on Pointe at 6yrs old. I could do the splits, either direction, and be completely flat, without dislocations. I could stand in a doorway and kick my leg over my head and touch the door frame above me. I'm 5'6". So I was always hyper flexible. The "W" was my most comfortable position to sit on floor in. I danced through several knee dislocations, both, until I was forced to have surgery, when I was 18. After the surgeries, I slowed down considerably. I only danced professionally for two years after that. The dislocations ended my dance career, but I did dance off and on into my 30s. I'm 47 now. After my surgeries I was fine. Had lots of pain and was still flexible, but no dislocations, until I turned 40, everything changed. All my joints were dislocatong or subluxing constantly. The pain ramped up considerably. I was having trouble moving, so my activity level decreased to zero. I was stupid and ignored my drs and still danced through my 30s. There's no reason you can't continue to dance, but do so smartly. Listen to your body and your doctor's. Get a good sports therapist that can guide through rougher days. Here's something I didn't know, or perhaps was told but chose not to hear it. When I started getting all my joints affected, I didn't think about the damage that was being done to the joint. Every subluxation and dislocation caused trauma to the joint as the bones scraped by them. For me, when I aged, this began to cause me more and more trouble. The joints were all chewed up and rough. Had I known, or listened to drs, I might have been able to prevent the significant damage that was done while I ignored pain and danced five hours a day. So, just food for thought. Don't ignore your pain. Again, find the right team of people to help you navigate what your body is going through. Hope this helps some. Sorry if I rambled. Lol. Best wishes to you as you figure out EDS. 🤗

    Where does the nickname hippo come from. I love your new sock all my socks are funky. You mentioned the lady at the hospital was really nice and helped you meet the anesthesiologists. Sometimes I bake for people who are just really nice and helpful. The last time I made cookies for my dentist and the people at my bank. I just do it as a thank you and they love it.

    Wow maybe now that the procedure went so quickly do you think maybe they can start using less anesthesia? That would be an amazing step forward! Progress not perfection. Praying you recover from the procedure and start having some pain relief.
