I love how many windows it has!! Lots of natural light. So pretty!
Omg, finally some real people living real life in America! I live in a 1973 mobile in a very expensive area in NW Montana which is tough. And yes, it's great that you are getting your ducks in a row at 40 cause I'm 65 and have no kids and only have lot rent to deal with, which is really high and on a fixed income, every penny counts! And yes, take care of your health cause everything changes fast after 50. Good for you for! Keep up the good work!
Lot rent is crazy where I live in the San Diego area. It’s expensive to live here, but after spending most of my life in SW Washington state, I adore the warm weather and sunshine.
I've been reading a lot of reports in the last year or so about corporations buying up mobile home parks and quickly raising the lot rents to levels people can't afford. This creates problems because if they own their mobile home, they have to move it or sell it. Sometimes they can't find people to move older mobile homes due to concerns about the structural integrity and whether or not the home can withstand the move. It's also an issue because often people are forced into a quick move as opposed to a planned move. It just disrupts or destroys people, especially older people who hadn't planned on moving ever again and find themselves with no other option.
@@charmc4152 I'm actually one of those older people living in a park that recently changed hands. So far they aren't requiring anyone to move but the rent has increased and we are all holding our breath for when it could increase again. It's for sure an insane phenomenon to say the very least.
Congratulations! We had a bug issue and set off a bug killer in the house but what really helped was setting one off under the house. Took care of everything. Can’t wait to see what you do to your new home.
I would never have thought to do it under the house! That’s brilliant! Thank you!!!
@@Appalachianmommawe did this twice a year, spring and fall. Under house, in house, then bug spray all around foundation, windows, doorways, baseboards inside..no more bugs. Including spiders.
What kind of bugs? Roaches?
My mh, a 16x66, has the floor to ceiling window's, with an after market standing seam metal roof, that I'll never have to replace. I bought it years ago, along with the rural partially wooded acreage it sits on (there is also a 25X50 insulated pole barn on the property), and used it as a vacation home. When I retired debt free in 2019, I moved into it fulltime and sold my site built 2 story house in the city. I'm now enjoying a very inexpensive retirement, in a beautiful area, with no close neighbor's. I love seeing people clean up/reno mobile homes, and get out of debt!
Congrats on buying another mobile home! I know you will succeed in making it look great. 😊 Good luck on your journey to be debt free.
A great degreaser is Dawn Power Spray. I recently moved and the kitchen cabinets in my new place were beyond nasty. I used that power spray on all cabinets Oak wood. I used on counter tops , stove, oven, and ventahood. Looks brand new. All of it.
You can make your own. Just keep your sprayer. Like a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol, fill your bottle about 1/3 full with regular dawn dishwashing soap and then fill with water. It really works. I keep mine in a dollar tee spray bottle. I love using it. It’s a great cleaner.
Totally LOVE the new home and definitely those windows!!👍 A gem in the making. Congrats and ramble on AM! We are in recovery mode from Hurricane Beryl. Swamp butt season on a whole new level with no AC.🥵
New subscriber. I can’t wait to see what you do with your new home!
First time watching. I love renovations and cleaning videos. Can't wait to see what else is on your channel.
I've always loved those floor to ceiling windows too, the trailer looks great.
The oven may just need a new heating element which would be way way way cheaper than buying a new stove. Just a thought but worth checking out.
That home has the right person!!!!!!🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉 You really clean well!!😊😊😊😊
I have fallen into your channel by chance. I am totally on board with your determination to be a good steward of your money. It is especially important for women of any age. Too many times a woman is swayed by romantic ideas that they will be taken care of for their life. No so. And if they actually are cared for, it is a bonus that the woman has a stash of assets of her own. Being strict with ourselves is not a bad thing. Saving money, investing in a home or land is prudent. I started when I was 38. I invested in myself with education. I needed to support myself & children. I wanted to use my brain and to be paid for it. I saved, I invested in an IRA, I took some chances in employment. I pushed myself to be the best in my field so if I was laid off I could move to something better. I was hard and I sacrificed. I retired at 57 so I could live the life I had deferred. 16 years later I am able to relax with peace and security. Women - take care of yourself financially.
We live in a house in The Foothills of Appalachia.
When we were first married we lived in a three bedroom single wide on our farm.
All we could think about was building a house.
I think we let other people sway our opinions.
We were very young.
Much water under the bridge since then, many moves.
I wish we could back to that single wide on that farm.
Those were the best times.
I enjoy watching your channel.
People say life is what you make it and you do it so well!
Congratulations!!🎉🍾 I hit 40 next year and debt free has been my goal for the past 2 years. I’m so excited for you. Jeremy is so nice to be helping you. So looking forward to seeing you guys fix up the home. See you in the next one.
Congrats on the new place! It's cute! Way to go on your debt-free journey!
Congratulations, it's gonna be nice to see you make it your beautiful home.❤
I love watching your videos, we bought an older singlewide last year and have come across so many issues and I’m older 59, and get so frustrated. Since finding your channel it’s giving me hope and inspiration to keep going. I wish I would have been as wise at 40 as you are now. 😊
I love the all purpose cleaner from Dollar tree in the orange bottle. Best cleaner.
Found your channel by chance. I like your house! It’s so bright with natural lighting.
Love your new trailer! My brother has one that looks pretty similar. The layout is nice and your lot looks beautiful!
Congratulations, new home. It looks great. I love the little town.
What a good power wash!!🎉❤🎉❤🎉😂😊
Congratulations! Your right on the water..such an amazing spot! I can't wait to see what comes next
Also the stove does not have a computer in it. If you have the oven repaired (probably just the heating element) that stove will more than likely outlast three new ones. Ask any repairman. If you can find an honest appliance sales person they will tell the new stuff is built to last six to eight years.
How exciting, congrats 🎉 can't wait to see all the things you gonna do 😊
You said the heat/air unit needed to be replaced.Look at a couple of mini splits. They are way more efficient than central air/heat. If you have two of them if one fails you still have the other to get by with. They are very good.
Cute trailer cant want to see the work you do on it....I do have to say one thing ,that food he bought is the most unhealthiest food I have ever seen ....it's all full of carbs, sugar, preservatives and tons of sodium ...I use to eat like that and now I regret it, now I have high blood pressure and diabetes.....wish I can turn back the hands of time ....
Very nice !!😊 SO smart to seek to be debt free !! Woohoo❤
Just came across your channel. Living in U.K. there aren’t as many homes like yours. They are mostly holiday homes but are getting more popular for full time living . Looking forward to seeing all you do in the future .🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
That porch looks so nice, I know u will make everything great!!
Newbie here!!
MEAN GREEN IS AN EXCELLENT DE-GREASER! You can get it at walmart or family dollar. Or run hot water and add dawn dish soap til its soapy. Then take a rag and soak your stove top, let it soak, then the grease will come right up!!
Same story with the fridge.Clean the coils either under it or on the back. It's better than you can buy new.
The rings come of the top of the stove so you can clean under them use a soap pad to clean them.
I am so jealous but happy for you too!
A cleaning hack I use for nasty stove tops is to take a bowl and mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide together. Enough to cover the top of the stove, not the burners, or the really bad parts. Spread it over the top then pour white vinegar over the top. It will bubble then settle. Let it sit for a min of 30 mins. An hour if the top is really nasty. Clean off with paper towels or a towel you can throw away. It’s amazing how the junk comes off.
I am new to your channel, and I'm glad to be a subscriber. You are so smart to get debt free at such a young age. It's not easy, but so worthwhile. ❤😊
Hey my friend, how exciting to see your new trailer!! You are going to make it so beautiful, it is an exciting journey to be on to make it your own ❤️ I am praying for a successful first day of work tomorrow.🙏🏻 Being debt free is an amazing goal my friend. I love Jeremy’s food haul it reminds me of when I ate gluten, I love pop tarts and pot pies but gf ones are not as good 😜 I hope you have an amazing and wonderful day tomorrow my friend ❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Auri uses oven cleaner on top of the stove and covers it with plastic wrap, not paper towel
I really like the trailer. It has a lot of potential
Congratulations on your new home! How exciting!!
It may just the oven element. They inexpensive and easy to out in.
Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐. It looks great. Mobile homes fascinate me for some reason.
Congratulations!
Over the years, I’ve always relied on a local appliance repair man. I don’t like to replace appliances because I’m on a budget and they are so expensive. I had the oven quit on me twice and he changed the element and that fixed it. He told me the reason my element was burning out was because I had put aluminum foil in the bottom of the stove to keep the bottom of the stove clean. I stopped doing that and I haven’t had a problem since. I wonder if you could have just bought a new element.
Two things I find works very well on greasy grimy stove tops and ovens is either WD40 spray on, let it soak into the grease for up to an hour, then wipe or scrub it off. But you have to be careful because WD40 is flammable, so you can't use the stove right away after cleaning with it (you need to remove *all* of the residue and let the rest completely evaporate with good ventilation, until you can't smell it anymore). You can also apply WD40 with a rag or paper towel so it doesn't go all over the place. But don't use WD40 if you're a smoker or have any breathing problems, and don't inhale it or get it on your skin....The second thing I use that I find works very well on grease and grime is regular Washing Soda (Arm & Hammer, aka sodium carbonate). I make a strong solution or thick paste of that for soaking and scrubbing it clean. Again it works better after soaking awhile....Regular baking soda (sodium bi-carbonate) makes a good, cheap scrubbing powder if it isn't real bad.
I like it and just love your river view and all of the windows The bug issue can be fixed maybe get some bat 🦇 homes for the trees that will give your neighbors something to talk abt Ha ha Great job with the clean up Happy for y'all
We are also working on being debt free. We don’t have a mortgage, but we have a couple of credit cards. So I want to clear those up.
Congratulations. I love. It❤
I wish they would allow trailers in regular neighborhoods.
The ONLY thing that gets rid of cat urine is ENZYMES. You have to get it at a commercial cleaning supplies store.
Nice place did a good job
Put a mini split in it cools and heats they are amazing
Cat pee is awful..it’s a smell u can’t get rid off..and I love my cats! Congratulations on your new home..
Swamp butt season!😂 Love you, Girl! Congrats on your new home and being on your way to no debt!🎉
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ooh wow! I love the pantry. I live in a double wide. It’s in pretty good condition, needs a few things but we’re keeping up with it. It’s a 2008, in the San Diego area. Mobile homes last forever in the warm dry weather. It’s fully drywalled we put in new vinyl plank and put tile in t kitchen and master bath because my water heater pooped out and ruined the floors in the kitchen and master bath. We wanted to put in the same flooring as the rest of the house, but it had been 4 years and we couldn’t get it anymore. I actually really like it. feels like a real house with drywall. Oh I was going to say I wish I had that pantry. Mine is lacking.
are you sure the oven just doesn't need a heating element? I enjoyed this video because I like watching other people work. I bet your neighbors are happy for the clean up.
I agree on being debt free. At least as possible anyway. Congrats on the trailer!
Auri uses plastic film over the oven cleaner to keep it moist. Not paper towels.
The oven might just need an element. If so, they are not expensive and easy to replace.
Congratulations. Your oven my just need a heating element. Don't hurt to ck
First time watching. I’ve never lived in a trailer. Do you worry about a fire coming through it? How much does a trailer cost? Do you own the land under the trailer? How does homeowners insurance work? I’m sorry I have a whole lot of questions I’m an open minded person and would like to hear more.
As a long time mobile home owner, I've never worried about fire. Just like a house, if you have bad wiring, it could happen, but there are usually sign's, like outlet's not working, etc. Depending on whether you're buying a new or used mobile home, condition and the age would determine the cost. They can run from less than 10k to 115k+, without land. She stated in the video that she's renting the land. Mobile home insurance works the same way as house insurance, but it has to be a mobile home policy. Farmers/Foremost is the largest insurer of mobile homes in the country, and that's who insures my mobile home.
Girl...how you sweeping with that fan blowing! Lol
My hometown is Hinton, WV....how cool to hear on TH-cam. I return there several times a year.
One of my favorite places!!!!
Beautiful view
Love your channel! Enjoy the cleaning, DIYing, etc...I live in Louisiana, but always said WV would be another I would love...seems beautiful. My only disappointment in rhe channel...I think you and Jeremy should married and join assets...lol. What a team!!! Both of yall have it going on!!! Anyway, really being inspired by how yall can take trailers and make them into cozy, beautiful homes! And yes, we should all be getting out of debt! Thanks for the channel
Downsizing to be debt free is a great idea.
Wow congrats it is a cute trailer and I love the windows and the ones in gypsy loves house too her whole home is cute live watching both of your channels
What is the name of Gypsy's channel, I couldn't find it.
@@CzechtoU Gypsy XO
@@yvonneziemba4216 Thanks yvonneziemba.
Your home will be beautiful. I grew up in Putnam Co. Love my small town.
as you get older paid off sounds better than new....
I think Arikatharina uses oven cleaner and plastic
The best degreaser that ever really worked for me is (LA’s Totally Awesome) You let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes and then go back with hot water and wipe it down. It has a very strong smell but it does work.
Make a slurry with peroxide and baking soda, spread in on the stove top and counters, I really is a go to to remove caked on grease.
I understand the debt free hing. I had a small debt and worked to pay it off. Then I started trying to put into savings the same amount I put toward my debt. I have a nice nest egg now. I still use my credit card. But I don’t buy anything I cannot afford. I put it on my credit card then pay it off before the next payment is due. So I can use my card, but I never pay interest. It just takes discipline. And I’m sure it helps that I don’t have children.
Congratulations 🎉
Had to follow a fellow Appalachian ☺
You can wash rugs at the car wash. Watching for the first time. I’m looking for a single wide mobile home to fix up.
Keeping the lawn short will help with the bug problem, but a bug balm will take care of the problem. We used to set on off in the crawl space once a year. Small town life isn’t too bad. Just mind your own business, go to the source about rumors, and stay out of drama. AND if drama happens, give it a week, and there’ll be a new topic of conversation.
If you have dogs be careful using pinesol it's toxic to them especially when they lick their paws. Great job. I used to live by the Colorado River and loved it
Use dawn soap to clean with warm water but not very much.😊
It's nice n roomy. Where are you moving from to this place? We have family in Rainelle West VA. Blink and your through the town..I always say that because the towns are so small.. the ones I've been thru.
Congratulations
I don't know anything about trailers, but this one doesn't look in bad shape.
You need to replace the front walkway to cracked !! I do like the lay out and the floors and windows of your mobile home.
In my small town they wont let you set a trailor 10 years old or sooner in town.
Nice hope your doing good 🕊️💚
❤❤❤
🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
🎉
I’m only going to down size 😊
Nice
Congrats! What state do you live in?
LOVE THIS!!!...who is gypsy love?...do u mean gypsy xoxo?💖
Yes!
Just curious what your lot rental cost is??? Here in NJ we have prices from $450-$1000 a month.
Lowest I’ve seen is 150. The highest is 450
Excuse my ignorance but I’m new to this channel. I came here from the kitchen cabinets remodel you did. I liked what you did so I subscribed. If you don’t mind me asking, who is Jeremy to you? Is he your husband or adult child? I’m confused 😆
Soon to be exes?
Congrats!! I am just starting to be an “adult” when it comes to money and saving, since 40 like u said it’s just more on your mind! My fav thing about your videos is the chatting!!! Any videos are so great to see!!❤
How do you like that spin mop? What brand is it?
O cedar! I love it! This one has the clean water feature. The original one is just as good
Given that we only live to about 68/78 years of age these days 35 to 40 is middle age lol! I just turned 61 so yikes 😳 I can’t even say that out loud without cringing 😬
So u say u got it cheap...why don't u give us the price u paid...we all want to know..
She uses oven cleaner
Bleach is the ONLY thing that gets rid of cat urine smell. I have cats, I know.
