These are nice cars, very comfy and easy to live with day to day but two things put me off (other than pricing, which is high for all cars these days). The first is the complexity of that variable compression engine in the E-Power model. I know they had a lot of early issues that are hopefully resolved but still, its a complicated motor. The second is the latest news about Nissan, who's exec's are suggesting they might not last the next 14months unless they get an investor. Crazy times! All that aside, another excellent review my friend, and all the best with the business and life in general. We'll be here, waiting for the next one ;)
My first car was a Nissan and I have fond memories of that car. Until 2022 I have always owned a Nissan, so it's safe to say I like the brand. It would be very sad if the brand dissapeared - they make good cars. Really hope they survive. Thanks for your comments and the coffees. Very much appreciated!
Thanks Arnold. I was keen on the previous version e power from your first review - but the test drive put me off because of the engine noise at low speed on quiet street. So I’m interested in your comment that this noise has reduced. Do you know if Nissan improved noise deadening or was this your suspicion that this was done?. ( Im also glad real leather has disappeared for more stable material. )
I am not sure what Nissan has done to reduce engine noise, but my impression is that they have used more insulation on the firewall, and that more structural adhesive is used on the body. Thanks for watching!
