    I’m commenting after only watching through Scoot finishing (bad). A - I think most of that will come with experience. B- Every time he drove to the basket nobody else on offense even moved. Zero rotation. If he gets stuck there are no cutters and no open outlets. C - He is so fast and strong. He is going to be a monster in a couple more years.

    Damian working with Scoot in the summer time would have been awesome. His woes finishing is always after he makes a good move. His progression is encouraging. He's just so raw.

    Do you think Scoot should work on his post game? A lot of strong point guards like Baron Davis, Westbrook, Gary Payton, Jrue Holiday, and Chauncey Billups were good at it and used it to punish teams that put smaller defenders on them.

    I agree with Scoot needing to work on his at the basket moves. That was his biggest weakness. But I think what was hindered him was injuries, not just him, but the team. No consistency to help him. That led to turnovers and all the losing. Lots of other rookies playing and little experience from others and not knowing what his team role was without having team chemistry.
    The fact he averaged 14 points a game is very respectable for a rookie third pick.
    I would give him a C plus or B minus for the season.

    Transition was definitely my biggest gripe with this team this year. Outside of Matisse we didn’t have a ton of guys who could force turnovers on this team.

    The problem with scoot is all mental. He still that young kid who relys on mentorship. He has all the physical abilities and skills fundamentally to be a star. He just need to figure it out that he cant rely on anybody for advice and motivation. He has to be a man and fix all that confidence issues bright lights stuff and everything by himself. The moment he gets over that mental stuff, hes freaking gold. Dude is so fast he’ll tear that league up

    Blazers drafted a streaky outside shooter with a weak left hand thats affected by length. With 2 years of D League he should've looked better this year.

    can we give Henderson 1 more year before handing out grades? Because Raymond Felton had a better year in Portland, then the Blazers transcendent PG of the future.

    • @Toxicbanana01
      @Toxicbanana01 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Raymond Felton was in his 9th season, averaged 11.4 with 6.5 assists and 2.8 TOV. Scoot averaged 14 with 5.4 assists and 3.4 TOV in his rookie season. I don’t see what you’re getting at? Felton had 7 more seasons to develop and mature and had a pretty similar season?

    Yes and no. People forget he had to navigate his rookie year as a teenager. No one should have expected efficiency his first year. He needs veteran leadership and mentorship to help him grow. If he didn’t make any progress during the season, I would say failure. Also, several rookies came in older with more collegiate experience. Scoot should have made second team IMHO.

    Scoot reminds me of OJ Mayo. Elite in HS but not the athlete at the next level you THOUGHT he was. OJ was still on the verge of becoming a good NBA player but unfortunately got banned for illegal substances and we know it wasn't just pot or roids! LOL It was a narcotic probably cocaine. I think the game will slow down for Scoo and he's going to be really good, probably like a Rod Strickland.

      I’m a wolves fan and I agree scoot will be an all time great. Idk about all that tho, if he ever wins a finals mvp that’d be enough to cement him. He’s got a lot of work from now but look at players like Gianni’s who couldn’t even get minutes his rookie year. This kid averaged 14 at 19 yo I like his chances to average 27 ppg once his shooting catches up with time
