Watching your vids I've come to realize that what I thought was a tube of wax I'd removed from my ear back in '92 was probably just a tube of dead skin. I'd been sick for a week and could not beat it. On Easter Sunday I got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom using the walls to stay upright (I was 26 years old). I got in and did my thing, then washed my hands at the sink. I thought my ear felt a bit funny. I grabbed a Q-Tip and twisted the bud between my thumb and forefinger to stretch it out to a bit of a point. I then stuck it in and slowly began spinning it as I gently pushed it deeper. I eventually felt it catch. I determined what direction it was catching and leveraged it in that direction and slowly continued to spin it and push a bit further in. Then I just spun it a turn or two and continued to spin it while slowly pulling it out. I was eventually presented with what I then thought was a tube of was about 3 or 4 inches in length in roughly the shape of my ear canal. It was shades of golden yellow and orange. I stood staring in silent disbelief for a moment and suddenly the nausea I'd had went away and my equilibrium returned. I dropped the mess in the trash and walked out of the bathroom no longer using the walls to stay upright. My whole illness was just caused by the mess in my ear. Love your videos. Keep them coming.
What a Monday morning treat! Huge wax plugs, skin peels galore and Rhys pulling boulders out of the inferior recess AND the dynamic duo were together… what more could anyone want! Thank you!
I'm prone to swimmers ear and am a lifeguard so I have water in my ears several times a week. I pour a bit of rubbing alcohol in each ear, make sure it breaks the surface tension, and tilt my head to drain it out. Works like a charm!
Yeah. I reckon he could have used olive oil, and then just suctioned it out afterwards. Absolutely minimal risk of infection, but a much lower chance of further trauma to the ear.
When I was a kid taking swimming lessons, they made us use a vinegar and alcohol mixture before we left the facility. I absolutely hated the smell, but it worked.
It has been fun to watch your camaraderie on your videos and to see "the lovely Mr. Taylor Green" become confident and relaxed. His "yeah" is almost a trademark. Thanks so much to both of you from central Arkansas!
I used to get swimmers ear in college, just from showering. The infections would be horrible, too. I started to use earplugs, which helped. After college, I stopped the earplugs and I don’t think it’s ever happened again, thankfully.
I’m a former competitive swimmer here in the U.S. We have drops here that are basically rubbing alcohol branded as Swimmer’s Ear Drops to prevent infections.
Thanks for an amazing video today. Rhys you had a real tough one on your hands today. What a deep deep mass of hard wax in those ears. Unbelievable. You had to go directly to the manual tools on this one. Wow and wow. But your keen professional skills got it out. The patient had to feel so much better and and could hear again. My compliments to you Rhys. Very good. Iowa here. Steve. ❤️❤️😊👍👍🙏🇺🇸
Rhys, could you use some kind of brush with olive oil on it to swab the ear a bit on that skin??? That way it's not triggering the infection but could loosen up the skin peel for you??? Just wondering if it could be done some way. Thanks for the video and good to see you both!!❤❤❤
I'm confused how interessting these videos are. And I am reliefed that I tend to have no problems with my ears although one ear tends to build up wax fast. Luckly I have a way to deal with it
Since I have chronic intractable migraines, I can handle the clarineting (misspelled?). I can handle uncomfortable sounds. I can hear conversations from a distance.
Started watching to find out more about the inner ear and how it might be the reason for vertigo and 2 serious falls. Learned a lot more than I ever anticipated for myself and many, many others with ear issues. Thanks for the education and entertainment. Lol thanks to all who need ear for sharing the videos. Many who where in pain and scared now will seak out help and hopefully be helped. Odd to see that ethnicity and climate also effect ear wax. Who knew!😅
I'm surprised that this one wasn't Mr. Taylor Greens, because he is so good with using the tools rather than suction. I did 😁 enjoy the skin peel with all the thick skin. Thank you Mr. Reese.
Thanks guys for sharing.. Quick question : due you think you should be wearing ear defenders as you are nxt to the droning noise from the suction machine all day 🤔👂💜👏✌️🇮🇪
May I ask a question? Would not an ear hair removal (waxing or sugaring or even traditional burning) help you a lot to have better view? Or would this only help in the outer and not that critical parts of the ear canal?
Interesting on the swimmers ear patient, as I get swimmers ear frequently, but only time I can't get my ears wet is during an active infection. When I don't have an infection I never worry about getting them wet, just can't let liquid sit in my ear for prolonged periods of time, so when swimming I have to wear ear plugs.
This is insane my ears are exactly like this! I didnt know it was an actual condition! 🤯🤯🤯 I literally wear ear plugs in the shower because any water and I'll get an infection.
Can someone help me with some ideas for my 5 year old please. He has two big plugs (one in each ear) but hates people touching his ears or putting any liquid in them. I'm unsure on how to proceed any further. Thanks in advance
I remember you saying on another video that you could put olive oil in the ear on someone with swimmers ear, because it gets suctioned straight out. Why wasn’t that the case here
You say four years is "a lot" to go without getting a cleaning but I'm almost 52 and have never had mine cleaned. I don't notice any issues with hearing or discomfort. Are there just certain people who get wax buildup and others don't? Or am I likely to have a bunch of wax down in my ear? This is so unusual to me to consider!
I hear y’all talk about how your arms get tired, because you have to hold them up. I’m in Texas, and worked for an ENT for 25 years. He had our patients lie down on a table, while he used a wall mounted microscope to guide him in wax removal. It was much easier on his arms to have the patient in this position. Is there a specific reason you do your wax removal with the patient in an upright position? Curious in Texas….
You always say that the suction tube is loud, but you never actually recorded its noise. Why don't you post a video where we can hear what it sounds like?
If you swim in a chlorinated pool your body compensates in all sorts of weird ways. I found my hair getting waxy, I'd get an ear infection when the water refused to drain out of my ear
As an Australian pharmacist I wouldn’t be concerned about olive oil causing swimmers ear, its water getting stuck that causes swimmers ear infection not oil.
You would think the patient could put a dab of olive oil on a q-tip and just swirl in just inside the ear. Just to at least moisturize the outer part of the canal.
There was an ad in front of this video today. I’m saying this because I remember you once saying that you DIDNT wanna monetize this channel. I’m not sure WHY. But there you have it…. Is it because you get money from the NHS??
They absolutely ruined these videos whenever they use the vacuum instant satisfaction is gone!!! it was a good video until the vacuum came out, and then instantly it was a bad video!!
Cannot go to bed without watching my earwax movie
You're my people 😂 I posted on Facebook to see if anyone of my friends enjoys this as much as I do and they basically gasped and were appalled! 😂😂
I was watching one earlier and my 7 year old daughter noticed 😅 she asked if I could wait for bedtime and watch it together 😂
I do this lol it somehow calms me
@ me too...mesmerizing
Lol me neither 😅

Elf hats for waxmas
But there’s a whole month to go

@andrewallason4530 I get what you're saying but at the same time these guys are trained professionals

It’s really is!😅

I hope you told them to come back sooner next time! Nice work Mr B xx
"rug of dead skin" was not something i thought i'd ever hear, lol. Great video as always, you two.
OK, that was a freaking amazing removal and peel!! I can't believe what came out of that ear. Great work guys!
I’m a former competitive swimmer here in the U.S. We have drops here that are basically rubbing alcohol branded as Swimmer’s Ear Drops to prevent infections.
sheesh! they need to visit more often. im sure you recommended that as always. let’s hope they do! great job 👏
It’s amazing how people can generate skin and wax like this in 3-6 months.
In the USA this would cost a patient two weeks salary….if they make good pay.
Very good video I was just thinking when Mr B said when he smiled he could hear & Taylor said it someone saying something sad & he’s smiling !
😂😂😂 might be a tad awkward
Thank-you gents, for having a video so early in the day! As always a great video, Thank-you so very much! Hope you and staff have an awesome day! ❤😊

Me and the kiddos love watching your videos together.
The second ear plug looked like a submarine
Yeah, a cute cartoon-y one like the yellow one
Another great video from 2 of my favorite TH-camrs!

Thanks for the video and good to see you both!!❤❤❤
Such a lovely satisfying video! I wish I could go back in time and have studied to be an Audiologist! 😊
I'm confused how interessting these videos are.
And I am reliefed that I tend to have no problems with my ears although one ear tends to build up wax fast. Luckly I have a way to deal with it
Thank you for explaining about the bigger tube not beinng able to be used.
Good Afternoon Mr.B and Taylor.G. good job guys.‼️

You really worked on this skin and wax removal😅 Great job!!!
Wow! Great peels!❤
Unbelievable, never knew skin was layered likethis in a ear

😁
I’m watching this in bed. Fabulous video. Great technique Rhys. ❤
What do y’all mean when you say something “clarinets”?
Awesome job I really love to hear ya'll joking around God bless ya'll
Why weren't scheduled to routine visits to prevent this
Can saline be used instead of olive oil?
Thanks guys for sharing.. Quick question : due you think you should be wearing ear defenders as you are nxt to the droning noise from the suction machine all day 🤔👂💜👏✌️🇮🇪
Its insane that things like this can build up when you can't use liquid
Thank you for another truly satisfying removal! Hello from Washington (state, not D.C.) USA 💖👂🏼
Thank you, I really enjoyed this video.Thank you so much
May I ask a question?
Would not an ear hair removal (waxing or sugaring or even traditional burning) help you a lot to have better view? Or would this only help in the outer and not that critical parts of the ear canal?
Nice to hear a bit of Welsh. South Wales I’d say
Catch 22! Can’t use oil but need it ! Can’t take more skin but want to! ❤❤❤
What does clarinetting mean please?
This is where the zoellner suction tube whistles loudly when trying to suction dry skin/wax
8:44 Love the sound effects courtesy of TLMTG..."schoop". You sound just like the zoulner tube😂😂😂
😂
how far back into the ear canal are these plugs...like can you see it with the naked eye if you peer into their ear yourself without the cameras?
Good work
Thanks, guys.
Does the skin not migrate because of the swimmers ear? I'm just wondering if swimmers ear stops that migration because of how thick the skin was.
Oh wow! The advert that popped in this video was the Twisler!!!Nooooooo!
Yeses I've seen that too! Haha!
you should tell them to trim their ear hair to make it easier to see. 😊
ALWAYS ENJOY THE VIDEOS! Got to love the Jobson Horn. As usual, it saves the day!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thanks guys! 🩵🩵🩵

Amazing job!
I was reading a book taking place in Australia. I am from SC, USA. I found some of the sayings RYS says like tough as old boots and chaka block
Chockablocka! I suppose there are more idioms common to Australia and to the United Kingdom, than there are idioms common to USA and UK.
I was amazed.
Great job with all that dead skin & wax. 👏👏❤️
I remember you saying on another video that you could put olive oil in the ear on someone with swimmers ear, because it gets suctioned straight out. Why wasn’t that the case here
♥♥♥YOUR CHANNEL!!!
Great job!!
Very enjoyable !!
This was fun!
Thank you for watching
How about using some medical grade sterile mineral oil during the procedure? Patients with known sensitivity could be excluded?
Had swimmers ear when I was a kid, maybe 10-12 years old. And damn can it HURT when it gets bad
There are people that absolutely need this done on a regular basis, unfortunately.
I wonder....if they accidentally pluck some of the still-attached hairs with the crocodile forceps, if that hurts the patient?
every time i see these videos i beg god for the forceps and they never come. this video answered my prayers.
Did you every think of showing how you are working as you remove and film these? That would let us really see all the positions you have to go thru.
They did actually do that for the 200th episode and maybe a couple others, they're actually VERY still.
I hear y’all talk about how your arms get tired, because you have to hold them up. I’m in Texas, and worked for an ENT for 25 years. The skin seems more like gum or putty. Is it because the skin is dry?
Would a slightly thicker ointment like a thin coating of Aquafor or Vaseline helps?
Or even viscotears eye gel?
I know Vaseline/petroleum jelly doesn't add moisture, it simply blocks the moisture already in your skin from escaping. It's a good question.
Perhaps those thick greases would just block the tube and be difficult to clean out.
@@LouisetheLithead I was thinking that a thin coat would stop the wax from adhering in the first place
You always say that the suction tube is loud, but you never actually recorded its noise. Why don't you post a video where we can hear what it sounds like?
Why are your videos not as clear a picture as they were?
If you swim in a chlorinated pool your body compensates in all sorts of weird ways. I found my hair getting waxy, I'd get an ear infection when the water refused to drain out of my ear
Taylor: cooooorrrwah, ooooooaaargggh. Yeaaaarrraghhh.

chock a block for sure
Mining is alive and well in Wales
So if you knew that it was a birds nest why not use sodium bicarbonate dah
Those ads are placed by TH-cam not the doctors. It's TH-cam getting paid.
It would have been one of your best videos if u had only shaved the hair out of the ear.
Do you ever shave patients ears? Looks like the hair atleast disturbs the camera.
❤❤
❤
