Yes dude! It really kind of molds every type of "content" into one thing, which really stifles creativity. A good example is the Mr. Beast Effect on TH-cam where everything turns into a formula. Probably a bit hyperbolic but it still has some impact. Great video man
It commodifies creative output and makes the act of making just another mundane task. We are abundant with slop, but at least our shareholders are happy with the “content.”
agree with your thoughts here and appreciate your input as a cinematographer. i went to go watch the video you linked and i noticed that you may have used the text graphics and video clip compilations from that video. this feels unfair to the creators of the other video who put together those graohics and compilation clips. I know you linked to the video (which maybe you intended as a way of crediting them?) but it still feels disingenous. Its not a huge deal but if youre going to be making videos on youtube long term just be careful because some people will blow these things out of proportion. 👍🏻
