My favourite pet on this game is definitely the wolf 🐺☝️ I love the wolf since the legend of zelda twilight princess & afterwards more on beginning of the first season Game of Thrones The puppies ❤️✨ A big hug Be blessed brothers
SwitchUp I am fine😊 I had a lot of exams & a 6 week internship on a kindergarden Afterwards I had Vacation of 3 Weeks but spent 1 Full week as a volunteer on a Summer camp 😊
If there’s a cat in the game that’ll be my favorite. I always love having cats in any game because they are such weird and quirky critters. Bonus points if they animate a side hop!
My favorite pet was always the dog. He reminded me of my dog growing up and I named him the same name. Can’t wait to name another companion after my childhood friend! So happy TL2 is coming to switch! Cheers!
I haven't played any Torchlight games, but I am a fan of loot-heavy dungeon crawlers. I think the classic D&D / fantasy "Mimic" would be an ideal loot-delivering pet. A monstrous, living treasure chest hopping with me through a dungeon, with a big mouth of sharp teeth, biting enemies and gobbling up treasures, should exist, if it does not, already.
My favorite pet is the wolf. It might be cliche - but I love wolves. The reason Siberian Huskies are my favorite dogs are because they resemble wolves. Ergo - the wolf is by far my favorite pet.
Seems like another good Switch port from Panic Button. My favorite Torchlight pet would have to be a tiger. Not just any tiger though but a cub tiger. I always loved tigers and with one by my side and I'd be tearing thought these dungeons.
Since this is on the Nintendo Switch I would loved to have Bowser as my pet in the game. He'd be one hell of a support character and imagine the price he'd get in the markets. Like who would want to deny Bowser his asking price?
Gotta be the ferret for me. I love them. I had 2 of them before I moved last year. A friend of mine played this game on the PC awhile back and it was great seeing the ferret running around and attacking things. Made me smile everytime. Glad to see it's returning here
My original playing, back on PC, I just had to go with Panda for my pet. So cute, and so wise. I loved having my Panda following my Berserker around. Quite the pair, they were! Great review, by the way. I am a recent subscriber, but you guys put out some of the best Switch game reviews. Keep it up!
This channel is magnificent! Informative reviews and great "lists". Perfect for an older gamer with limited time like myself. Thanks fellas, keep up the great work! I didn't have any interest in owning a Switch. We ended up getting one for our youngest, then he wanted a PC for Xmas that year. He didn't even touch the Switch after that. I ended up trying it out and now it's my favorite way to game.
The animation of that unicorn is weird lol... I hope they apply a patch for the PC to utilize controller too. Been a fan of this game since 2012 and my carpal tunel is screaming now :D
@@x.MaverickHunter.x i'm finally playing it now and it's beautiful! I played the first on PC last year and enjoyed it, but this one is so much better. The story is even more interesting!
Picked this up on my laptop but just couldn't get into it in the keyboard and my game pad sucked. Been waiting 7-8 years for this to release on a worthwhile console of handheld for my preference. Loved the look and sound of it.
The pets were all pretty sweet! I always tended towards the dog, but I’d love to see something new like monster creatures. Beholders or the such from D&D days. The dog was just an easy fit.
I think it would be good for your reviews in general if you talked about what its like in handheld compared to docked....some games really excel in handheld and some really dont. I found this one to not be very good in handheld only cos there is alot going on and so the screen is too small. The first game i really noticed what a diffemrec it can make playing docked was Tinykin. I thought that was so so in hamdheld but then when i played it in docked it kinda blew my mind how much better it was!
In the PC version of Torchlight I always went with the Papillon pet (the tiny scruffy dog) because it was modeled after Runic Games' actual office dog, Falcor, and I thought that was a great nod to the team who made the game and their unofficial mascot. (Also, his owner and their PR rep, Wonder Russell, is an awesome human.) So if that's available in the Switch version I'll probably stick with that. If I could have anything, though, I'd want a Mimic, or the Luggage from Discworld - since it basically functions as a companion storage unit anyhow, having it be a literal baggage strikes me as hilarious.
Mark would be my favourite pet. Picture the treasure goblin in Diablo 3 (but it's Mark with a loot bag!) wearing a SwitchUp official t-shirt scampering toward any dropped loot and giggling, "hee hee!"
Favourite pet? Can you imagine a Switchup pet. Our own little Mark and Glen running around reviewing the AI in torchlight. It would be like an easy mode! I really wish Midna (Twilight Princess) would be added as a pet. Always such a fascinating Zelda character to me, and the wolf would fit nicely. Great video!
This is crazy. They said they wouldn't port Torchlight 2 to consoles when it first came out. But now it's on the Switch. To be fair, they did port the first game onto the 360, and it was an AMAZING experience. If this is anything like that port, it's a must buy for me.
I played Torchlight 1 like crazy on my 360, and play it often even now on Xb1. The game is a really good console dungeon crawler. Even though I've only played the PC demo of TL2, I am not a PC gamer and prefer consoles. As such, I am OVERJOYED that someone brought TL2 to the Switch!! What happened to Runic Games, the original developer? I hope they're all doing well; they made one of my absolute favorite video games of all time (and I've been an avid gamer since the Atari 2600).

They will play your heart like a fiddle until each one of your strings buckle and break under the abuse. While the falcon, he is always there for you when the chips are down, like that expired bag of shredded cheese you keep in your refrigerator.
It is a great game. But the fact it doesnt have couch co op, I see no purpose in getting the game, since I prefer playing arpgs on my pc. I know its not the case of most people here, but for me its a no. If they eventually add couch co op, then I will most likely buy it.
Bought this on sale for 14 dollars and, wow! It's been a pleasant surprise. I'm really enjoying the challenging bosses and addicting loot rewards. Upgrading your character is also enjoyable. Can't wait for torchlight 3 now.
Id have to say the Ferret was my favorite pet. What better to take all my unused loot back to town. If I could have 2 I'd name them Kodo and Podo like from Beastmaster. Anyway, glad the simplified the UI. Great video!
My ideal pet would be a family of 7 rabbits, each with a various sized saddlebag for the town trips. As they get injured (assuming the pets can get injured in this game?) this would be visually represented by certain rabbits falling over and being tossed on the backs of the ones still standing. Individual customization would of course be available for each rabbit but everyone would just make them look like the Watership Down guys.
Favorite pet would have to be the new unicorn. They not only added it as a switch exclusive but they made it a giant fat unicorn. You have to love the fat unicorn.
Since it doesn't have to be in the game... i'd love to have Gon from Tekken 3 or... Yoshi! But a fat, round, fluffy unicorn would do just fine as well I guess hehe
I usually prefer the wolf or panther pets, but if I remember right there was a llama or something in TL1? Always liked the inclusion of something different from the norm. Favorite video game pet generally is a bear, though.
Being a massive fan of Diablo 2 and knowing the team that went on to create the Torchlight games after leaving Blizzard; I pumped a stupid amount of hours into this game on PC and would probably do the same on the Switch. Matt Uelmen I utterly love as a composer and his style is all over this game. As for favourite pet, well, you just simply have to have a wolf, because having a wolf as a pet will remind you what humanity has done to dogs and also remind us why we should have kept them as wolves and not bred them into Chihuahuas! Haha! Great review boys.
I've always used the panther because of L.L. Cool J's "Walking With A Panther". I am so glad I get to play this again. The switch version is so good to me.
My favorite pet would either have to be the badger (because of the memes, obviously) or the panda because they're one of my favorites. I love how oblivious pandas can be.
Playing this now, picking it up for around $6 on sale. It’s fun. Only complaint is it’s too dark at times for on the train. Like you can zoom in/out with the R stick.
My preferred pet would be Dave, 1 of the Minions in the Minions films. Every now and the Dave starts talking or dancing or singing. At the end of the great finale he and the rest of the Minions perform Y.M.C.A from The Village People as a easter egg hidden in the game.
Preordered it for the switch some days back and iam not disappointed - totally worth the 19,99 asked and surely a highlight for every arpg fan on the switch - next Grim Dawn or Diablo 2 Remaster for the switch and iam allover satisfied. :)
A Blink Dog, from D&D, would be an awesome pet, since it can teleport themselves and other creatures at will and is capable of understanding speech. Actually, a Blink Cat would be better, 'cause cats make you work for their affection. (Animals with superpowers are awesome.)
My favorite pet would've been a fluffy Shiba dog , no enemy will dare to harm it & I'll get the best prices from merchants due to his cuteness. Also will have a ton of laughs from the free memes I get during our journey together.
It may be a bit traditional, but at the moment I would enjoy a pet hound. Last week I lost my dachshund hound, Stanley. I will miss him forever and it would be a nice little adventure to have him by my side 🐶

Just picked this up on sale today! Had to search for the SwitchUp review like I do with all games I may purchase!
On sale for $4.99 atm, worth it?
Unicorn, i love seeing the fluffy guy walk around around, jam his horn into enemies, and the occasional sound effect.
Funny, I do the same after a few drinks 🍸
This review made me buy the game for $15 on switch sale. Good on you, mate.
TeeOneZee if you haven’t already check out Diablo 3 on switch, you can get it for £30 on eBay and it’s great, it’s what torchlight is emulating.
It's on sale rn for $4 and Torchlight 3 is $5 🙀

A chocobo would be the most awesome pet ever to have in this game.
Cat, obviously! On the PC version, I'd always name the cat 'Potato' after my own cat :')
My preferred pet would be Dave, 1 of the Minions in the Minions films. Every now and the Dave starts talking or dancing or singing. At the end of the great finale he and the rest of the Minions perform Y.M.C.A from The Village People as a easter egg hidden in the game.
Favorite has always been the owl. Felt it fit so well with the Embermage.
The Panda! I had done the game with him on PC again last year. I don't know, he looks chill and relaxing :)
The cat! Just like my cat, it’s always off doing cat business, then shows up just a little after you really need her.
I absolutely loved my ferret in 1 looking badass with his little bandana. But definately gonna try the unicorn on switch..
Preordered it for the switch some days back and iam not disappointed - totally worth the 19,99 asked and surely a highlight for every arpg fan on the switch - next Grim Dawn or Diablo 2 Remaster for the switch and iam allover satisfied. :)
Honestly the new rainbow unicorn pet is my favorite, rainbows and unicorns what not to love heh.
my favourite pet in torchlight 2 on PC is the wolf just cos i love wolves so much and i think theyre awesome.
I finished Torchlight 1 with the dog as a pet. Can't go wrong with a dog, they're loyal and sweet.
Mini mario would be a great pet - i would name my character luigi just to turn the tables for once! Good review, might pick it up in a sale!
The Chakawary is such a cool pet and I am keen to see what it looks like torchlight 2
The Wolf looks pretty cool. I have a dog so it'd be a nice companion of sorts haha
It may be a bit traditional, but at the moment I would enjoy a pet hound. Last week I lost my dachshund hound, Stanley. I will miss him forever and it would be a nice little adventure to have him by my side 🐶
I remember being excited for Victor Vran. There were too many spiders and recolored enemies. Does Torchlight 2 have that problem?
