Fish can be fed to your pets so they can transform into more powerful creatures such as spiders etc with unique attacks. Also your pet can be taught spells and also be sent back to town to sell your items then return to you after a brief time.

Torchlight 2 is one of my all time favorite ARPGs. At the release of D3 I felt Torchlight 2 was a better game. Since then D3 mad some massive changes and improvements and became a better more content rich game. Torchlight 2 is still fantastic though and I can't wait to jump back in.
D3 still doesn't have enough content to beat TL2, hours wise, this game has an endless "actual" endgame, D3 still has no endgame , that's my major complaint, and many, many others. I enjoy both, but TL2 is an overall better ARPG in my opinion.
Torchlight 2 is more like Diablo 2 I think but I'm very excited for it to unlock as it's one of my favs. I like the depth over D3 as I get bored of D3 very quickly.

They had a functional prototype of a much more traditional Diablo III circa 2005 or 2006, but due to the growing popularity of WoW Blizzard HQ shut down development on it and, when the time came, decided they wanted to go a more MMO-focused route.
I have played hundreds of hours of Torchlight 1 and 2. 3 not so much…unless a miracle happens. But I’m still shocked at how good this runs on my OLED! The only compromise they made was the mods and GUTS tools.
The game was never brought up, and didn't have much popularity, it also takes a lot of cash to Port a game to additional platforms, the game has a lot of popularity currently due to the Port and made money, so they successfully ported the game over without any loss of overall money. They did well with the port.
Played so much of this game on PC when it launched... Waiting for it to download! I can't wait. Thanks for showcasing it RGT they are releasing a new one and I hope that if it does well they will continue this underrated series!
How did you make the game in English? I installed tourch light 2 on my Nintendo switch but the default is in polish. My system is in English tho and I even re-installed without the DLC but the problem remains
Torchlight II was the first game I ever bought on Steam and I have ~2700+ hours in it. They did a really good job porting it over to console and even incorporated some of the QOL features from mods too. Some tips from a long time player: -Unless you're using a shield, vitality is useless. There's sockets that you can get that can give you more than 4X the vitality and HP than if you maxed it out with points. A better defense option for melee builds is dexterity which increases your evasion and critical rate. -Defense doesn't scale well compared to gear with +HP. 20 HP will keep you alive more than 1 defense. -Strength scales with % damage while focus is the only way to increase skills with fixed damage, even physical abilities. -Whatever class you play, get ~56 focus for the 20% critical rate. You can put more points, but 20% crit rate procs a lot more often than it should. -The -defense stat on weapons and socketables affects *all damage types* including elemental. A must have for almost any build.
I need this game :) The scrolls to teleport back to town remind me of DII among other things. DIII was fun too. Hob was an incredible game, so I can only imagine how great Torchlight 2 is on the Switch!

However, it was a bit disappointing when the sequel didn’t come to consoles because the last gaming pc I owned was the Hot Wheels computer in 99. After playing Diablo for the first time last year I realized that there was something charming about Torchlight that I missed. But that didn’t stop me from pouring hours into Diablo 3 on PS4. Now I’m asking myself if it’s even worth it to go back, even if I had time to play it.
I definitely understand that even though they are sponsoring this video, you’re putting your reputation on the line even having it on your channel, for me it does matter that they are sponsoring this and if I’m going to be honest, I’m buying this game day 1.
The xbox one version is fine for the price tag. Ive owned it on steam since its original release. Ive noticed is the audio for the sound effects seems really soft while the music is too loud. Adjusting the sound sliders dont fix it. Secondly, the auto aim / auto target is more sloppy than diablo 3 console version. Its not bad, its just slightly off sometimes. As far as the ui its fine, works very similar to diablo 3 console version. I’d definitely say its a buy for any arpg fan that plays consoles.

The port is rough. I can list many problems but the biggest indication is the act 2 transmuter tells you he needs a patch before he starts working (yes, you cannot currently use transmutation).
Love the game and I don't regret buying it. But I noticed two things that irks me a bit. 1. The attribute description is a bit haywired and the description doesn't match the correct one. Notice at 8:05 when he picks the attributes how they don't match. Atleast you can put the point then it will match. 2. When playing as an Outlander, sometimes Rune Vault doesn't trigger it's backflip. Hopefully they can patch it up because this is a solid game. Love it!
Was this game ever running at 60fps continuously like so many claimed? Even the demo drops down to below 30fps during fights if lots of particles/effects
I had this on PC gifted to me from my big brother. I like to smash things with giant weapons Engineer is for me. Been waiting for a portable version. The switch version has a freaking unicorn...I had to the PC didn't have that.

Currently playing this online with the wife. She is new to Diablo style games and since I've played Diablo 3 over 4 times already, I wanted to try something similar. Torchlight 2 is worth it.
I first got into this game when it when it went on sale for about $7 last year. I actually like it a bit more than Diablo tbh. Definitely worth the money if you like ARPGs.
Going to buy this while on sale played it abit on pc a long time ago i think this is the best time to put more time on it, just hoping they have a plan on adding couch co op like d3.

Except it's buggy and crashes. Stats aren't crunched properly, strange movement hiccups. For twenty bucks it's not a bad deal, but still shocked these issues aren't ironed out.

I played the game for about 250 hours on an older laptop. And guess what I loved eventually more than D3. It’s actually more like D2.
250 hours? Beast mode.
What helps is the fact than some of the devs from Torchlight/Torchlight 2 and the composer worked on Diablo/Diablo 2, including the leads I believe.
I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't have couch coop though. This game would really suit it well!

nobody remembers the developers and creators from FATE were on the team for this game… Fate is torchlights grandpa. THAT is what makes it so special.

Played in the PC. This a great game, because we were playing co-op. Fun with friends. Solo is okay too.

It has a Diablo 2 influence but in actual fact this predates Diablo 3 which ended borrowing a few ideas from Torchlight 2
