I was an 0352 TOW gunner stationed at Los Flores at Camp Pendleton from 1984 to 1988. At that time 1st Tank Battalion was based at Los Flores. I was single and spent my entire 4 years in open squad bays or onboard ship (2 West-Pac floats). I did have several married friends who lived in the base housing and when I'd visit them I'd always think, "they need to condemn these shacks and build some decent housing for enlisted marines." Looks like they've finally done that. Nice place folks. Semper Fidelis.
Girl, I was searching up house tours on base to get ideas for decorating and found your video. Then realized my husband and I are literally living in the exact same house y’all did!
I miss our home in WM2!!! The house we had was soooo big so we ended up moving out but it’s the biggest home we lived in on base. We were on cottonwood south, same layout
I swear that view out the back looked just like ours did when we lived on Dogwood. WM2. As a kid we used to get through that fence and hike over those hills in the background on the other side of that canyon in the early 90's. Fun times but also was a tough street to grow up on. It was a ghetto back then.
You two are such an adorable couple! Many years of happiness to you both.
To live on base/post is a privilege. In California, it's a huge blessing due to the cost of off-base housing.
Awe you guys are soo cute.

Does the woman have to be in the military also to live on base or does she’s just have to be married ?
