Hello, Iron Maiden is gigantic and their discography is immense. Their songs are 20% good, 50% are very good, and the remaining 30% are great works of art. It doesn't have bad themes. According to my humble opinion. Thank you.

Yeah Maiden will do that to ya. Their energy is infectious and their love for the art shines through best in live performances. Most of us have been listening to them for decades and as others have said they're still at it today. Their influence on the genre and in music in general is undeniable. There is so much more for you to discover with this band but I agree with other comments that the en vivo live performances of Fear of the Dark and Dance of Death are a great place to start. Up the Irons!!
Bruce Dickinson has one of the most dynamic voices in the history of recorded music and Iron Maiden collectively has some of the best musicians to ever play together. It's hard to not be a fan if you hear them once. GL on your discovery. Fear of the Dark is my personal favorite song from them.

They have like 42 or 43 albums out. Their music is mostly history or literature. They are story tellers. The bassist is the leader. Lead singer Flys their private 747. Google them you won't be disappointed. They have a guitar solo per a guitarist. Dance of Death En Vivo is 20 years after this.

yes now they had 3 solo guitarists. this is an amazing burst of energy. freedom. about scotland defending itself from an english invasion. make sure it is rock in rio 2001 with bruce dickinson singing. yes bruce dickinson the human air raid siren. also flies the plane in his other job as a passenger jet pilot. champion fencer, novelist, business owner. if you want to dance try dance of death live en vivo. or the red and the black live chapter book of souls tour,
oh yeah on the clansman watch for the drummer to do a highland dance and bruce to dance..

their first 7 albums are flawless. this song is off their 3rd album which is Bruce Dickinson's first album as vocalist. the first two albums were sung by Paul di anno. They are an incredible band. Their energy has sustained me for decades. Their music makes me emotional its that good. They are my life force

Listening to this old song with you has made my hair stand on end with the excitement of seeing how a person enjoys it like I did in the 90s. Of course, I have recomendations: The evil that men do, Wasted years, The Rime of the ancient mariner (20 minutes long but like this song it doesn´t matter), Flight of Icarus, Rainmaker, Aces high...for example.

Whatever in 1990 guitarist Mr. Janick Gers join this band. **From 1978 to 1981 Paul Di'Anno was vocalist & Blaze Bayley was lead singer from 1994 to 1999 during Bruce's absence due to throat cancer.**

You'll get plenty of good recommendations. All I'll say is just seek out the live versions. 95% of them sound as good or better than the studio version and the visuals you'll get make it a no-brainer. Arguably the best live band ever, with a catalog stretching 40 years, and still performing at levels belying their age.

Listen to Aces High or Flight of Icarus. Their songs are sometimes based on poetry or real life historical events which makes their mastery of storyltelling that much more interesting

A word in advance: I have seen some reactors get a bit uncomfortable when they get to one of Iron Maiden's biggest songs, "The number of the beast", believing it to be Satanic. But just so you know, it's not. The song was written after bassist and chief songwriter Steve Harris woke up from a nightmare about the movie "Omen 2" that he had just seen, and wrote down the lyrics inspired by that dream. And the original "Omen" trilogy, as you may or may not know, is about the Antichrist being born and, eventually, is defeated in the third movie. This story is well-known to all Iron Maiden fans, since the song is one of their biggest hits, but newcomers who scare easily would probably need clarification 🙂
