I saw them in '85 when I was 16 and saw them again a couple of years ago. I got to say there wasn't much drop off. And the crowd was much younger than expected. Do " Hallowed Be Thy Name"
Fear of the dark is inherent thing, not just “many people have that” lol! I talk about TOTAL DARKNESS, not NOWADAYS LOL!! Most live in an relatively expected, safe, luminous, visible environments mostly, so…. Iron Maiden is very unique, they aren’t like just another band belong to “typical” labels!!! They are very melodic, sentimental, beautiful, powerful, vigorous , bold, dramatic, and dynamic at the same time mostly!! And that’s very unique and rare!!! And i listen to a lot of stuff from different genres, musicians and cultures, they stand out and they are very intriguing and very interesting! In the end it’s mostly subjective, I know…., whatever! Up the Irons!!
Hey there. 😏. Appreciate your thoughts and love of, Iron Maiden. Cool to read how they stand out to you. ...and for the record, its not "whatever"....i get and appreciate your comment. ~ Tazzz ~
First exposure to Maiden live in 1981, warming up for Priest. Best concert I've ever seen from any band was Maiden 1985, Powerslave tour. Until 2018 when Maiden bettered it with their Legacy of the Beast tour. Until 2022 when a modified tour continued post-Covid with the addition of newly recorded songs. That was the most impressive concert I've ever seen, and 64 year old singer Bruce Dickinson was the most impressive part. Enjoyed your reaction, but it would have taken about 60 seconds for you to glance at the singer and band recently performing and see how little drop-off there's been.
This is from 2001 and while Bruce has lost a step being old and having survived throat cancer, they still did a blistering version of Revelations on the last tour and Bruce killed it. Receipts: th-cam.com/video/a0F9JdPVfv0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=63qKmJzZMuzOyZYf
Thanks Helton. Happy you enjoy. Unsure about more Nightwish. Love the band, but their overall fandom/Islanders are a bit unsportsmanlike and TOO serious for my taste. ~ Tazzz ~
Its refreshing to hear someone admit that Bruce cant do it as well as he used to.. been a Maiden fan since i had any comprehension of music.. born 77 run to the hills is the first i remember hearing.. but people just wont admit he isnt as good now.. hes still good dont get me wrong he's an older gent, beat throat cancer, has been belting lyrics out for the last 50+ years...but the high notes can be painful to listen to now. Can't hold that against him though.. Up the Irons
ja wszystko IRON lubię,nawet bez Dickinsona. To jest magia i ten niepowtarzalny styl.Jednak trzeba przyznać że głos Dickinsona buduje klimat grozy, niepewności,tego co czeka, jest nieuniknione.

Bruce Dickison is a throat cancer survivor and still delivers nowadays. Amazing.
About time you reached to Maiden. You should know their entire catalog.
Number Of The Beast is one of the greatest albums of all time.
Im sure Philly knows their entire catalog. Take solace in that. Ha! 😏
