- Sometimes things don't go according to plan and I've gotten better at letting my gut feeling speak. My original end of the Swiss Alps route towards Bernina, Umbrailpass and Stelviopass makes way for something completely different due to roadworks and pass closures. I end up in one of the places in Switzerland that I admire most because of the beautiful memories here. I've let this place take hold of me in ways I could never have imagined.
It feels weird to say this is the last episode of this series since it seems SO long ago (sorry about that, I was planning on having it up by the end of 2023...). But luckily I already have new adventures planned.
My ultimate goal for these weeks on the road was to have more time. More time to create, rest when needed and find a good balance between work and travel as while shooting these episodes next to other jobs. As you can imagine it takes up my entire day, which I don't mind at all (!), but to unwind and get back to non-creating days is always such a nice feeling. I will dedicate a blog to this soon.
Where early 2023 was kind of a try-out, 2024 has started off with an 'this is how I'm going to do it!' attitude. I have become better and better at creating a rhythm for myself and these 7 weeks have helped me enormously with figuring that out.

Wise choice. Some of my best memories are when I parked the bike for a few days & just took in my beautiful surroundings. Excellent series & a beautiful spot to end it.

Stunning photogrphy girl , I liked the ending using nature like a schutter closing on the last immage , also comparable to closing the eyelids, falling asleep with music and your voice fading away. Then startling and thinking "missing you allready"😉.

Sometimes it's better to stop at the right moment. Umbrail will be there and open even 2024, as well as the Stelvio. It sure felt good to stay at the beautiful Silvaplana lake - well done!
Again: I love the way you describe the passes, the routes, your feelings - even when you don't say anything at all. But your drone shots and your footage tell everything. It's a pleasure to view these episodes, one by one.

...and another beautiful episode, dear Leo. You took the same foto spot like me, at minute 8:05. One of the best views from the Fluelapass. But, I went then to the Ofenpass for Italy and then Livignio, Foscagno, to the amazing Torri Fraele and lake Cancano. The next day to Lombardia to do some offroad there.

Wat een hele mooie serie weer, ik snap best goed dat je het vervelend vind om Zwitserland te verlaten wat een prachtige omgeving zeg😍🥰. En snap ook dat je de Stelviopas overslaat, ben er zelf een paar jaar geleden geweest en vond het niet zo bijzonder, heb toen onder weg mooiere bergpassen gezien en gereden.
Bedankt voor je prachtige serie, en wat heb je het heel mooi verfilmd en een mooi verslag van gemaakt, ik kijk met plezier naar de series, ook je vorige. Met 2 aflevering heb je me stil gekregen💖 en dat ben ik niet snel!!!

Enorm bedankt voor de mooie woorden, het is altijd lastig om weg te gaan, maar in dit geval was ik al een ruime zeven weken onderweg en was dit dan het “eind” van de trip van wat ik vast zou leggen. Dus dat komt altijd ff binnen. Stelvio is idd niet de mooiste, maar je gaat hem wel terugzien in de volgende serie!

meh, I had cars cutting my priorities in a round about, on a yellow bike with my turn signal on and a green jacket and them saying "i did not see you" afterwards.
bright colors are overrated and won't prevent half asleep drivers to shoot you.

I’m doing the same trip in September. Question for people that have done similar rides. Bike security… is it a problem? Can you leave the bikes out on the streets in front of hotels without a worry?
