- Am I entering THE hotspot of Switzerland with its iconic passes to ride on two and four wheels? I believe so. Everyone knows the Grimsel and Furkapass, but have you heard of the Panoramastrasse Oberaar? I'm taking you with me on an epic day out in beautiful Swiss nature. The Oberaar awaits entrance on the mighty Grimsel summit, but many don't even know it's there. And even though it is only 5km long, it takes my breath away even more than the bigger passes around. Riding up for the second time made me instantly sob, as there are just so many beautiful memories for me here when I first visited this unknown gem in 2022. It's hard to capture its greatness in video, so best to visit this place one day yourself. After waking up quite rested but feeling very tired in the end I decided to spoil myself with an luxurious hotel where the bubble bath was waiting for me...

it's one of the most underrated moto channels on TH-cam. Your videos are so relaxed, and not full of this screaming and hektisch behavior of the most youtuber.
Amen to that, i'm a little surprised that the loud "persona" some people puts on seem to work with the audience. but i think a few of the other youtubers would really benefit from toning it down a bit. I honestly think the motorcycle travel channels as a subject have reached the point of diminishing returns (for new creators).
I recently came across a channel that in my mind has basically stolen material from other similar channels and put in their own, even down to some of the phrases used 😁

Oh man, the Grimsel - WHAT a wonder. I was there several times in 2022, always traveling between Andermatt - Furka - Grimsel - Susten. And I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best time of my motorcycling life. The landscape around the Grimsel, the dream road down to Innertkirchen - it's motorcycle heaven.
The Furka with its wide, gentle curves enchanted me, it's the ultimate Alpine boulevard. The hotel in the bend - it lies there like a ship in the majestic mountain world, and the story behind it ... unbelievable.
Your video and your stories are once again the best portrait of these stunning roads. So quiet, unspectacular and beautiful ... Storytelling as it should be.
As a Swiss enjoying motorbiking, the Grimsel - Susten - Furka is my pilgrimage. Every years, end of summer or beginning of autumn, it is a rite I cannot miss.
And no, it never gets old.
And thank you for letting us discover the oberaar panorama road, I never heard of it, but I sure will be taking a stroll next time !

Yet another wonderful episode! I rode Grimsel, Furka and Susten in June 2022 and vowed that I would definitely go back.... perhaps next year. Flawlessly captured although your naration became more and more watered down 😢😉. I nearlly joined you in that as I couldn't ride last year and am still sitting here with completely stripped down triple carbs 🤷♂️. I'm glad you finally found the marmots village, the one running around was probably Charlie Brown as the one on the roof was definately Snoopy 😉🤣. I did Grimsel and Furka back in october with one of my sons, the very day the road unexpectedly closed for winter. The Goldfinger route! Last I was there was 30 years ago during my army service with our trucks taking roads closed to traffic. Beautiful place!

Another wonderful video of my country, with a new discovery, the Oberaar. I’ve done these passes a few times and never heard of the Oberaar from friends and don’t recollect seeing a sign post, too busy looking at al the other views. I love the Marmot village and I’m sure it was that, that made you emotional, they do for me. We have a return of winter with fresh snow in my village, taking my bike out this afternoon will end up with her being all dirty again

I rode the Furka & Grimsel in 89, the Rhône glacier was right at the road back then. I will return there in July, on my Crossrunner.

Hoi Leonoor, wat een prachtige en indrukwekkende video weer die je gemaakt hebt. Op geheel eigen wijze. Ik ben het volledig eens met het commentaar van stefanwenger827 hieronder. De vele tijd die je in je video's steekt komt volledig tot zijn recht. Mooier kan niet. Vorig jaar ook weer deze route van de Grimsel en Furka met de Guzzi gereden in juni, bij wat slecht weer. Maakt niet uit, deze bergen blijven "majestic". Ofschoon vaker gereden, wist ik niet van de Oberaar. Ongelooflijk mooi om te zien. Ik rij komende juni weer daar en hoop dan ook de Oberaar te doen. Wat gaan die 38 minuten van je video snel. Veel te snel. Bedankt voor opnieuw een parel!

What an amazing episode like all the others you do , but this was special to mee as I had done them last year 😍 but wasn't aware of the special one on the grimsel wow that was epic , which only means one thing I will have to re visit 😁. I noticed you did some camera tips in this episode which I was very interested in and like in the video . Maybe you could give some of us camera novices some little tips on taking pics video when we're on our travels like your are 😎 🙏 only if you have time😂

That brought back memories of 2016 doing the Furka in the dark and fog coming from Turin wher my KTM 990 Adv had beenin for a replacement rear brake master cylinder and was trying to locate the hotel down in the village, it was scary but the following day in sunshine was great. I am enjoying your videos. Oh thanks for the reply on the camera strap.

Een 15-20 jaar geleden had je bij Tiefenbach ook nog een camping. Inschrijven in dat hotel/restaurant en je stond daar als enigste op die 2-3 terrassen tegen de berghelling. S’nachts berekoud, tis daaro toch een +/- 2000m hoog.

Leonoor, I could watch your videos all day long. I too am often reduced to tears by the magnificence of the mountains, and love taking pictures of them. I can't wait to return on a motorbike tour in September to the French Alps. I do think I'll appreciate them this time more than ever.
Your channel is awesome both in terms of quality content and vibes! Am off to.the Swiss passes in early June when hopefully they will be open. I am often in St Bernard / Forclaz being in Valais but agree that Furka Grimsel are absolute jewels in the crown of Swiss passes! Really cool channel

Another fab video, The passes look even better with almost no traffic on them. Have you ever ridden the Lucomagno / Lukmanier pass. it takes you from Biasca to Disentis. Its not one of the more popular tourist passes but is just awesome.
Nice Video! Im from Switzerland and i ride this Streets a few times in the year with my old Biks and its still fantastic! Now ist snowing in the alps, so i think this year it will be a little later! Last WE it was 20 to 27 degrees around 500 meter in altitude. Greetings from Switzerland, Marc

Awesome video! Gorgeous views. The Marmot village was great. They are so cute. I hope you were able to get some good rest. I enjoy the bond between motorcyclist's as well. When I stop for a break at an overlook, there is instant conversation. That is a good break and you meet some wonderful people. I like the way you set up your luggage on your Ducati. Not too much and not too little. Very well organized and tight. Mosko gear is the amazing, so well made. I look forward to your next adventure! Best!
