Ian and Ana, thanks for one of the best, most thorough travel guides to Switzerland. I hope to visit there with my 3 adult kids and fiesty 88 year old mom this July. I had not considered renting a van or even a vehicle but really planned to travel all by train, since I love trains. However this may be a better option, in some places. I was wondering about drivers license requirements. I must research. You inspire me. Thanks for an awesome video!

Ahhh you and your entire family are going to love it!! So happy we could help inspire and plan your dream trip WOOT WOOT! Having a car is always nice because you can go at your own speed and even park at the start of most epic hikes like Stoos Ridge, Schafler Ridge, and most mountain towns like Murren, Wengen, etc! Driving around was just so magical in this country. The thing about trains is that you will have unreal views but you can't pull over and hangout at some of the most beautiful places. With a car you can stop for lunch anywhere, and viewpoints! Be careful and have the best trip ever!

A great list of Swiss Must-Dos! The only thing that my experiences might add is to do it as soon as you can! Having visited quite a few times in my younger travelling days I can watch this type of travelogue with the satisfying knowledge that I was able to hike through these stunning vistas when
1 - I was fit enough to truly enjoy it.
2 - The crush of fellow tourists was way less.
3 - Though expensive, the damage to my retirement finances was WAY less then than it would be now!
4 - In those days you HAD to do it in person. NOW you can enjoy or reminisce from the comfort of your own rocking chair! 👍👍😉😊

Totally a good place to visit. So much of old buildings from the old century. But is a very interesting and cool place. Even is a good place for activities which is better than a theme park. Am i right?😃

Please could you explain to me how does rental car work over there I am from Canada 🇨🇦 . And I heard that you cannot travel across border by a rental car. Is it possible to drive through Europe by a rental car we're planning to go to Switzerland and Italy and France. Please if you give me some detail that will be great I really do appreciate it . We went from June 15th - July 15th and I think half the time was cloudy and rainy which was crazy but that’s just how the alps are! There is no telling when it will be great weather

i live in a mountain town and sadly some of them are slowly turning into a city, they really need to stop delivering construct permit to nonresident too easily, there's a lot of flat or house that are empty more than three quarters of the year.

Great use of Storyblocks videos to cover bad weather :-) Only tourists can pay 200 USD to go on top of the Jungfrau by cloudy weather, the most touristy peak in Switzerland offering an average view and the downside of being surrounded by crowds. The top of the Säntis is way more impressive and much cheaper by cable car. Besides that, a nice video but somehow all vloggers repeat the exact same places in Switzerland. I see no originality.
