    It's a beautiful watch, and the "mix-and-match" options they give you are dope. The lume is crazy on this one. But, they still COULD move that "W" logo from the caseback (and clasp) to the dial, even in slightly simplified version, for even more "premium" look, because that brand name as it is looks just so "plain" and "generic", if that makes any sense. It's just a minor gripe, though.

    Thank you for this introduction, man. Very interesting watch. I think that more micro and macro brands should start implementing features which set them apart from numerous, countless brands that repeat each other and use the same features. Using excellent lume is one of such features. How about making better watch cases and bracelets? Very few companies do anything to harden metal parts in their watches these days, while just cloning each other watches, either fully or portionly. I wear the Sinn U50 made in 2020 and this watch looks like new! Zero scratches neither onto the crystal nor onto the metal parts of this watch. This is just the next level in engineering and craftsmanship. And it would be great if more brands followed this practice.

    Although it doesn't bode well for a watch when the packaging is too fancy, having the nicely presented when opening the box is a nice thing. I think they got it right. As for the watch: it's beautiful, no question. Fully lumed dial often have an ugly greenish tint, this one doesn't. The colour is nice warm off-white. The "Special Edition" writing that you can only read in the dark when the dial is lumed is a nice touch. Excellent!

    Very impressed with the design and look of finishing on the video. Great lume too. However I would never consider a watch with an NH movement as premium. Why not charge another £30 or £40 and have a superior Miyota 9000 movement as an option at least? I have lots of watches with NH35/36 movements. They seem promising for the first few months but all lose their accuracy. Imo it’s a robust but bargain and not very precise movement and is frustrating. Things like the cheap clasp are fairly irrelevant compared to having an inaccurate movement imo! All of my Miyota 9000 movements keep much better time.

    • @JanKowalski-rd7yb
      @JanKowalski-rd7yb 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agreed. It's not like NH35A or similar movements are bad; they're solid, but they're literally all over the place these days, and I'm getting a little bit bored with this. Give me something with Miyota 9100 series, or at least anything at 28800 bph already... Hilariously enough, it's the chinese microbrands from Ali, that currently offer more options, when it comes to calibers used. I've got one watch with Miyota 9120 for well under 500 EUR, but you can find watches with chinese PT5000 clone of ETA, or even choose original ETA or Sellita movement for not THAT much more money. Typically, the bump in price equals to the price of the better movement itself, so it's a fair deal.
      That Hitman is still a very nice watch, though.

    • @jacc88888
      @jacc88888 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@JanKowalski-rd7yb Good point. However , I’ve bought a couple of watches with Miyota 9000 movements for a fraction of the price of the hitman although you’re right about quality of the hitman, the finishing looks superb so guess there has been a fair amount of labour gone into that. I also have a Cronos pilot’s watch with a PT5000 that cost my £160 and it seems to be a fairly precise movement too.

    • @JanKowalski-rd7yb
      @JanKowalski-rd7yb 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jacc88888 Cronos with PT5000 for 160 quid?? That's...outrageous!😄 I've paid much more for my Cronos Sea-Dweller homage with plain old NH35 (and then some, because I had to pay additional duty for that one)... I would prefer a better movement, of course, but I was going for that 2000 meters of WR in this case, and this was the only option. And Cronos has a really high overall quality too, so I'm satisfied. Mine has best bezel action I've ever experienced so far, and I have a number of diver's watches.

    • @JanKowalski-rd7yb
      @JanKowalski-rd7yb 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@susokraut3169 I'd go with AD951. I like shades of red, which is generally a bit underused color, in my opinion. And yes, a watch cased in what essentially is an "oystersteel" for that price is actually a steal. As I've commented a couple of times before, I just wished they'd use their "W" logo on a dial, instead of a bit "boring", plain text, but it's a minor thing. I guess a lot of people probably don't mind it at all.

    *Of note: Full lume dials and hands have an inherent weakness. They are incredibly visible when fully charged. But when in the dark for a few hours, the dimming lume dial and lume hands blurr together as they lose charge. So it is difficult to check the time at a glance. All solid black hands (no lume hands silhouette on a lume dial) could solve this issue.

    Almost too much lume. I've got 2 full lume dial watches. One is a cheap AliExpress watch, and it had polished hands with lume on them, much like this. In the dark, the lume on the hands almost makes active camouflage, makes it hard to see the hands at a quick glance because they are the same color and brightness as the dial. My Zelos Mako Frost did it right, with a full lume dial and black hands and indexes. Super legible day or night. Oh, on the AliExpress watch, I took it apart and colored the hands black with a Sharpie, so much better day now.

    • @LucaTheStar
      @LucaTheStar 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have this watch and the legibility is the best on any watch I own. Both in the light as well as in the dark. If the hands are lumed on the entire surface I definitely get that it wouldn't work but the unlumed metal border on the hands makes it work excellently in the dark as well. Luming the hands is honestly just showing off on Wise's behalf at this point.
