WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use TH-cams lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and TH-cam deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

This is a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf style dial on a Christopher Ward case. Definitely a good looking watch, but I have 3 of the original Zodiacs, so I’m kind of partial I guess! lol
Okay, I own this watch. I also own 109 other watches from various brands. I never get comments on my watches, until now. In the last week I have received two compliments on my Proxima. Mine has the PT5000 movement in it and it is very accurate to within 2-3 sec per day. Beautiful watch and a great value proposition for the money. By the way, I think they lengthened the minute hand. Mine goes to the outer edge of the indices.
Clearly the best Proxima so far! More colours and a signed clasp with tool-less quick adjust please!
It does look great. I don't care about a signed clasp, but I would love to see an on the fly Adjustment. Something like the EasyLink would be great, too.
I've looked for after market clasps. They were all too wide for this bracelet. The quick release is cool, though. My PX1697 looks great with a tropic style strap and I'm sure this would, too.
@pdriver7269You are right, the minute hand could be a mm longer, but still I like this watch.
It's a 'watch guy' thing I guess, my last purchase was 5 oct, that's less than a month ago, but I am now looking for my next purchase (I am trying to put it off until 2024). My dad wears a watch my mother bought him in 1955. It's from a long defunct swiss firm, cost a crazy amount to service, and is just about falling apart. But that's his watch and he isn't interested in anything else. I kinda wish I was like that sometimes...

Best lumed sapphire insert I've seen, hands down.
Main Issue is the length of the minute hand other than that, great watch.
Minute hand could be a fraction longer. Looks great though. Would love a toolless microadjust and half-links.

They've done a good job with this one. The only thing I'd change would be make the minute hand a bit longer so it reaches the edge of the indices. Slick otherwise
I do not hate the orange but some other colour options to consider wouldnt go a miss.

- those hands just don't make sense where they end, compared to the indices. Absolute no man's land.
I got the PX1697 back in June and have worn it constantly. Despite having the same case and bracelet, this is tempting. It's a bit sportier while the 1697 IMO can dress up better. On the PT5000, after five months it's been stable at -5 seconds/day. I enjoy the smooth sweep and prefer it to an NH35. In a few years I may try my hand at a service. If I can't pull it off, I'll order a new movement after researching vendors.
I struggle to get over my 1697. It's stopped me buying other skin divers other than a Seestern 62Mas but, yea, the 1697 is a beaut
The problem of these brands is that after couple of reviews on TH-cam, the prices go up about 30 or 40%
Now this watch is tagged 525 euros and with 40% off you have it for 315 euros. Which is too much for my opinion for this brand
This is another watch with the bezel numbers done wrong and I'm surprised proxima has done it.
Looks crisp! Starting to see what looks like higher quality, or clearer, sapphire crystals. It really sends the watch off over the top! Great dial on this one…clean!

a very good looking watch and it could be an alternative to the zodiac superseawolf since there aren't mannyu watches that have this sort of colorful/playful color scheme.

Not a particularly sexy looking watch, but the white and orange look great together and having different colors for the hour and minute hands is something I really like. The adjustability of the bracelet sounds amazing.

Very nice watch but dear. However if this wasn't an Ali Express brand, but a well known microbrand we might not be complaining about the price...........even though nearly ALL the microbrands we don't mind paying more for, are probably produced in the very same Chinese factories!

I like it although, I think Proxima is hitting the high water mark with this case and bracelet combo now. Would be nice to see it on a nice well fitting BoR or jubilee style bracelet, maybe include on the fly adjustment clasp.

I really like that, good colour combo and the fully lumed bezel gets my approval. I'd prefer both the minute and second hand a bit longer but in no way a deal breaker. Could be a purchase in the future. I don't mind the Proxima branding either.

Great review, I very much like that enamel dial. What I cannot get past is "PROXIMA", it's a personal thing, I do not like that name. It makes me think "INVICTA". (Which is weird, I don't mind the "BERNY" I have, which is arguably a much worse brand name.) It is a nice color combo. But at that price, we're getting very close to proper microbrand territory, and a significant step up in quality and design in every aspect of the piece.
I agree on the price being a bit high, but having owned multiple microbrand wacthes in the 400-800$ range, their quality is definitely not as good as on this watch.
