Is there a business relationship between ETA Prime and Orange Pi? It certainly needs clarification going forward in order to establish review independence.
I don't know for sure, but the voice almost sounds AI-generated to me. Some words are just pronounced rather strangely, and sometimes the audio synthesis is kind of broken.

The Orange Pi 5 Plus runs a RK3588 instead of RK3588S like the Orange Pi 5 and 5B, which allows some improvements like PCIe gen 3 (2000 Mb/s) read speeds over gen 2 (500 Mb/s). Also it allows for the 2x 2.5Gbit ports.

the OS is more important than the HW....
I had 2 Orange Pi 5 and Pi 5 plus and there is only one problem with them: LIMITATION of the OS. The rest is ok but this limitation makes them... unusable almost
Indeed. Orange Pi 5 have done almost nothing to advance the software. 15 months since the first release is exceptionally poor to have a product not anywhere near fully productive.

It's hard to learn that happens to almost OPi boards. Lack of support in linux, no video hardware acceleration...
I bought a Opi Lite 2 five years ago and left it somewhere for 2 years until armbian fully support it. Now it's a headless server for my home lab
@@susugar3338 yeap, same here, both pi 5 and pi 5 plus are super nice hardware boxes but without software... one time install and never update - that is not working nowadays - see raspberry: much lower specs but support on every corner - and people buy them in MILLIONS
@@susugar3338 Thats a general problem with all these devices. Chip manufacturer dont make the drivers open source so they are only hacked into their own kernel rather than be in the main kernel. All driver support is community driven. GPU acceleration works well when using android as an OS, then i.e games and emulators etc. can use the vulcan drivers with pretty good performance.

@@orangepi5692 tfw. TH-cam just removed my comment. TL;DR version: US import is to expensive (277$ vs 230 EUR from Ali and 360$ vs 277 EUR for the "Set 20" wih power adapter, wifi, emmc, case). Impossible to by from real merchants in EU either, only private resellers w/o any rights on purchase (and 100-150% more expensive)
