A small note about Orange Pi Zero 3. As of June 2024, the ability to operate sound through 3.5 mm audio is still not supported in Debian, Ubuntu, Armbian distributions

Note, OPI 3B need heatsink and fan to work, otherwise you can get chip overheat.

Just remember that software support is atrocious and so, for a beginner, this hurdle alone takes these boards away from any beginner categorisation. These boards are for tinkerers that have already lost their hair and love being left to third party communities to even try to make the products better.

Don't have a Orange Pi5, but I do have about 20 other Orange Pi's. None of them have ever failed on me, which I can't say about other boards. The video is put together really well, but we're no computers. Learn how to do voice over yourself, or partner with somebody that can do this. This computer voice just takes a great video and transforms it into a terrible one. If you are really passionate about making these videos, please don't suck out all passion by using these terrible voice generating tools.

Just get an N100 platform. Cheaper and faster and only 6watt

$140 , might want to buy a used windows pc that will outperform this, have more i/o, and simpler upgrade path.

Please fix the stuttering caused by HDMI audio in app like Aethersx2 in Android 12, MORE SUPPORT, i will never buy Orange PI products again, the performance is awful. I'm using Orange PI 5 Plus at least 6 months and no update, no bug fix, no drivers, no compatibility, no update.

Horrible support, I can perform better on the Raspberry PI 5, even with the RPI5 having inferior hardware, even with the RPI5 having inferior hardware, Update these systems, improve compatibility with drivers, fix bugs, don't wait for the community to do everything.

The pi 4A made me scratch my head for a second before reading that it's 8 cores and up to 4gb ram. Will probably be inexpensive in addition to low-ish power consumption. I wonder how many CPU lanes the M.2 will have access to? Since it also has emmc, pcie with four lanes would be super interesting.

Utter nonsense. It has become somewhat of a huge frustration to developers because of an outdated kernel and almost zero support. Even now, nearly a year an d a half later, we have a new but still incomplete Rockchip kernel that is still frustrating to devs. No Linux vulkan support until the end of the year. The Raspberry Pi 5, in the mean time, despite having less power, has rocketed ahead because development has been at breakneck speed, with so much functionality.
