    The pins are super cute! I don't think you talk too much at all. Your captions do cover your work sometimes and they go super fast so it can be easy to miss what you said. Other than that, great video!

      I’ll make less captions with slower speed in next video. Maybe I’ll have voiceover as well so the audience can follow the video easier ☺️

    I was watching the video and thinking '' oh... I'm the type of person who buy pins like those she is making '' 😂 it was fun because I was watching to be inspired to do similar things myself.

    Hello, do varnish water resist the pins? If it do what kind will you recommend? I don’t like using UV huhu

      @chouvaille  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi I use acrylic varnish mixing with Triple thick glaze. However recently I switch to UV to get the best gloss glaze

    whenever i glue my pins to the clay(airdry) , the glued section just falls off if applied even a little pressure . may i get any tips for this except for securing it with uv resin ?

    • @chouvaille

      Hi I have same problem so I no longer use only glue to stick the pin back. Instead, I use clay to stick it while the clay hasn’t get dried yet. You can watch my new Studio vlog to see the method. Hope it help! 🤗

    Im obsessed with this clay pin, i love them but i have so many questions like, are they fragile? i used to think that clay was really fragile (??

    • @chouvaille
      @chouvaille  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for your question.
      Honestly, it always comes to my concern to make the clay product durable and good quality. Clay product itself is kindly fragile. However, the quality mostly depends on the artist’s skill, supplies, kinds of clay, etc. And as I show in the vid, my product always have a finished glazed to protect and make it waterproof. Anyway, the user should handle it gently and carefully.
      Also, I’m working on the progress to make my clay product better quality

    • @chouvaille
      @chouvaille  ปีที่แล้ว

      I forgot mentioning how I did in this video 😅 I spray a bit of water and add moisturizer and then knead the clay until it’s soft enough. Yeh it may be really hard at the beginning but the clay is going to be soft quickly 😁

    How long does it take for you to make one clay pin?
    I'm a beginner so it takes probably a few hours for me to make one, so I wanna know how much time I should try to aim for. Thanks! :)
    Edit:
    Also, please wear a respirator when working with the UV resin things if you aren't wearing any! :(

    • @chouvaille
      @chouvaille  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s hard to have an exact answer as it depends on how complicated the pin is and the material (air dry pin takes more time to dry out). However, I would estimate 30mins for each animal small pins like the cat in my video.
      And I don’t think there should be a targeted time length you need to aim for. The more you practice modeling clay, the faster you get.
      Yes, ppl should wear protective mask when using UV things. That’s also one of the reason I don’t use resin for my clay products. I only use acrylic varnish and that’s not bad to me. ^^

    • @margaretmathis4775
      @margaretmathis4775 ปีที่แล้ว

      Super cute❣️ I’m not good with free-hand drawing/painting, but you make it look easy!
      Have you ever considered using 2-part silicone to make a mold of the cat head? Once it’s dry, all you have to do is squish the clay in - and you can still make modifications if you wanted to change any of the shaped characteristics. I do this for items I know I’ll be making a lot of.

    • @chouvaille
      @chouvaille  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Margaret Mathis Yeh I saw many ppl doing so. But making mold requires different supplies and tools which are not really affordable to me at this point. And sculpting the clay with my own hands is still kinda interesting to me. Maybe think of that in near future😆
      Thanks for the tip btw 💓

    edit: just a recommendation, you should subtitle your videos on the video itself (or do a subtitle, I saw in a reply that you were thinking about it). I didn't realize the video had captions until I finished watching (I thought the title lied to me lol). It's easier to read and more people will know that they *can* read captions, so it will help with viewer retention too :)
