Absolutely amazing and im incredibly grateful for this as a livery creator… although the fact that you need to get every car again to only then being able to transfer the livery and its not guaranteed it will come back in one piece is not particularly the best thing ever. Of course i wasn’t expecting our cars to transfer, that would be pointless but atleast give us the option to edit our liveries from GTS in a “loaned” version of a car that was worked on previously if that makes any sense and if you want to make brand new liveries then you will have to buy the car itself. Grind/buy/transfer/edit or even redoing and in the end posting will take an absurd ammount of time to repost something from GT Sport. But thats just my opinion, just seing that they actually cared about our work is brilliant and im happy with their attitude. Lets see how it goes when the game itself is out.
I spent a lot of time adapting the Mazda Furai livery to the LM55 and Ken Block's Hoonicorn to the Mustang Gr. 3. Good to know I'll still be able to use them.
I’ve just seen some info on the car list. Don’t know if it’s accurate or not, but if you go on Amazon to pre-order gt7 25th anniversary edition. It states there will be 420 cars at launch. 👀Sounds pretty good to me if it’s true.
Glad GT 7 can import liveries that I’ve seen made by the community takes several hours to do one wrap. I may return to Sport to work on my old liveries again.
As much faith I have, I already have the feeling for the first day or two the servers will be overwhelmed to the edge of being unplayable. It's just how it works for all popular Always-Online games. ^^;
@@meacag6582 I'm afraid the issue is not the game's download itself. It's the server where savegames will be stored that might get overwhelmed. Devs often study the average amount of people that will be connected at once and build servers that will sustain more than said amount, but they do not (want to) account for the day one spike of people that will connect all at once: Long date fans, new fans, people that took the game because it's a popular name, or because they just wanted to try it... As seen in the past, it's just too much at the same time, so the servers become unstable and many cannot access on the first day or two. Devs KNOW this issue exist, but they will not design a server to sustain such spikes only for seeing a good chunk of players dropping the game a week later for a reason or the other, either because it's not really their genre or because they did not like the game, or simply because they moved on to another just released game. In a day or two, the numbers stabilize, and those who remained can enjoy the game as intended. But as seen with Diablo 3, Sim City 2016, the latest expansion of FFXIV Online and many other AO games, no dev designs overexpensive servers to serve a spike of people that will be gone few days later. It's simply an unnecessary expense. Tbh this is the reason why I absolutely hate the idea of Always Online in general, but PD still goes on with the GT Sport formula. I will be more than happy to be proven wrong! Release day will tell how it goes.
Yep, the first few days/weeks I will simply be grinding cars and credits with the License tests, driving missions, etc....then I'll venture in to the 'online' side.
Great to hear because the best livery i made and took a lot of time to do in GT Sport was the Acura Red Bull Racing livery i made for the Super Formula Honda and it would be so frustrating if i need to do it all over again
@@mattpreece5112 actually it’s not too bad,the hardest part is the Red Bull logo on the engine cover and the logo on the halo Otherwise everything else is fine but when soon transferred to GT7 it will be in a different blue because in GTS it’s got the special performance blue colour and most likely i need to buy the colour in GT7
I imported one of mine, and it looks much better. My best bet would be to continue making liveries in Sport, which I would do anyway. I have a ton of decals to use up. But it5more effective in Sport because unfortunately the search engine in GT7 didn't add any new parameters. You still are only searching by tags, and they also for some stupid reason took away the ability to file things in folders, making it harder to find your decals. Because what I do is have a folder where all my decals for the livery I'm working on are stored. Although unfortunately I have too many folders with useful or multiple uses, and that leaves me with 2 or 3 folders to actually use for liveries I'm actually working on.
I've made plenty of dogwater liveries but maybe only one I actually really liked that wasn't too bad. I like to make my own from scratch. So I'm glad that bringing that one over from Sport is an option.
Not only liveries, decals & scapes will be imported, but also Sportsmanship & Driver rating, which is way more important imho, as I remember penalty system being f0ked up beyond recognition. It would be nice NOT to start any online stuff in GT7 down from the lower rating, with all that damn animals that are only there to ruin the race of others. Not that I'm planning to play any online whatsoever (only if trophies force me to).
Well this doesn't make sense to me if they don't have the special colours to match in GT7 how can they give you the decals that other people have made available to upload. Because GT7 won't have the decals either, they are from a separate source being the public uploads. Because the decals are just a combination of colours making pictures. So if GT7 can give you the decals that they don't have why can't they give you the other special colours. In the end weather it's decals or special paint, their all just colours. 🤔
Liveries and decals I’m happy about. I have a sick Strange Music one on my Gr. 3 C7 Corvette that I didn’t want to lose. The driver ratings should have been reset
Yeah. On another point, I really want GT 7’s penalty system to be a bit improved. I’ve been shunted a lot of times, and I’ve been very angry when those shunts don’t get penalised.

Totally agree 1000%
I get what u mean
they could develop a system in customization, to remove license plates from the vehicle.
Superb news! Glad to hear all my work will be transferred over. I was very curious as to how this would work.
I spent a lot of time adapting the Mazda Furai livery to the LM55 and Ken Block's Hoonicorn to the Mustang Gr. 3.
Good to know I'll still be able to use them.
That is going to be fantastic, I'm in awe
That’s great or else I would’ve been spending weeks on recreating decals and liveries
When I first heard this news I was very relieved, great move on Kaz's behalf.
i would have liked to keep your garage as i spent so much time grinding for the 2017 merc and the super formula cars

420 cars!? Sounds dope
They said "over 400" on the PlayStation stream last week so that sounds plausible.
With all the post launch DLCs, I think we would end up with 600+ cars and 40+ tracks in GT7 before next GT comes out sometime in 2026
In one of their Road to Gran Turismo videos, there appeared to be a total number of 428 cars. Guess we’ll see in the coming weeks.
I don't remember precisely where I saw it but there should be 428 cars at launch
It has always been a dream of mine to be featured in the weekly livery competition
Haha maybe you will be bud, we'll see!

Man its so hard not to get hype for this next granturismo, i really can't wait to cosplay need for speed/ burnout liverys
I mean, the first F&F livery to get there is gonna get showered in likes
I recommend bringing your livery competition in the beginning of May
Hopefully the servers hold up to the amount of players logging in on Day 1!

Anyone who has the Digital Edition on pre-order will get a pre-release download on 25th Feb to help with the day 1 surge

You are such a underrated content creator! 👏👍

@@HSGAutomotive No problem!
Does it mean we get out cars transfered back to us also like we keep the cars?
Decals??? Can't finde them, thought they would be in my collection in the livery section

Did your cars? Nothing from mine has 👎🏾
Great news, its going to be great to get a car you enjoyed in Sport and slapping on your favorite livery you spent too bloody long creating👌
Hoping the quality of the liveries are better
