I agree whole heartedly. I grew up on a beef ranch and we did have other animals like chickens, pigs, goats, sheep, and yes milk cows. I churned butter by hand as a kid. As my aunt baked fresh bread my cousins and I took turns churning the butter to put on that fresh bread. I can remember eating warm bread with melting fresh butter and thinking I died and went to heaven!!!
I was literally just thinking earlier today when we might have the blessing of seeing Miss Christa again! God is Good! I think my mother had nearly that same mixer 40 years ago, I wonder if she got it from her mother... I've been hearing good things about raw milk and cream again recently... Perfect timing! And Jeremiah 33:3 is one of my favorites, it reminds of this one from Psalms, how the Lord can meet us in a place and speak to us like No Other!! Psalms 42:7-8 Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have passed over me. [8] The Lord will send His goodness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.

Great video..thanks so much. I fell in love with butter when my first grade teacher brought in the cream in a jar. We all sat in a circle, taking turns shaking that jar until it was butter. She supplied a box of crackers, and all of us were absolutely delighted at this experiment. I bet she never knew just how much that meant to us. Thanks again.

What a refreshing video to watch and I don’t mean about making butter, I mean about you personally. You are the epitome of good old traditional values and manners. It’s almost like you have been preserved in the good old days, for lack of a better description. God Bless you. 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦

Awesome video. My kitchenAid mixer is almost 40 years old. It was a wedding gift. I remember we made butter and ice cream in elementary school. My husband and I plan on retiring to Iowa. Beautiful state and people. God’s blessings
Ahhh. And your mixer is probably still going strong, Robin! My parents may retire back to Iowa as well. That is where their roots are and it always feels good going back.
I am so appreciative that you are sharing the how-to's with the younger generation. I have been there and still do as much as I can homemade. It makes me so happy that you are sharing important information with a generation that may not have access to it. My husband of 54 years every once in a while likes to go out, but he always comments, "You make it better." It is the best complement I can get. Thank you for your videos.
I love it. You are just like my wife of 51 years. Anytime something electric has an issue she says it "has a short"! If it was a short sparks would fly and maybe even trip circuit breakers. I would have someone look at the power cord where it goes into the mixer. Probably a broken wire. Have it checked out before it does "Short". I love homemade butter but don't have raw milk available except buying shares in a dairy herd. Too expensive and we can't use a gallon of milk in a week. Thanks for the great video.
We were blessed to live in a dairy community that wasn't "woke" (the farmers let us buy their surplus and Mom made butter as well as the best ice cream ever!) Thanks for showing an alternate way of enjoying a taste from my childhood, Christa! The beauty pf Christ shines in your smile ... God richly Bless you and yours :)
I made this minus the salt and put it into a heavy pot and made ghee! I love ghee because the taste is wonderful, it has a high heat point like cooking oil, and since I’m lactose intolerant, it doesn’t have any side-effects on my digestive system because the milk is cooked out! And, it has a long shelf life; no refrigeration needed! Amazing stuff!
Thank you for showing this I detail, and going over the process. When I did (hand mixer) I used the lowest spin setting and it took FOREVER to separate and pull out the butter milk, now I know to use the highest setting and back off when it first starts to separate. Also … wow the mess I saw your splattering everywhere just line mine did. Thanks again for showing us how it’s done old fashioned way. God Bless you and your family and home.

is it okay to freeze it to store it a little longer?
That is cool👍. Is it the same process using whole milk? Say if you had a cow, how would you go about making butter?
