Although I just got mine 3 days ago and only 150 miles on it so far, I
just love it. Got a sweet deal on it. A 2016 model but with the 2017
Steel Grey over Burgundy Metallic color scheme. Absolutely gorgeous
looking. Traded up my 2014 Vstar 1300. Plan on having this for many
    years to come. BTW...great video.

How's the legroom? Looks like it might be too compact for tall riders?

+TLSAV it is not bad I am 6'3 I rolled the handlebars forward raised them up like mini apes the floor boards are higher than a Harley but not bad I put a set of highway pegs on and it's perfect

I ground the footboards to a knife-edge on my Harley cornering. Cut my boots all to pieces.

I've owned a Road King (Road Thang) and ridden a Springfield. There ain't no comparison. Buying a new Springfield next March.

Hammered01 test drove the Springfield front end felt extremely light and I noticed a lot of engine heat on my right thigh

Springfield is a great model to compete with the HD Road King. Hope to test drive during our trip to Sturgis in Aug.

Can someone explain to me why this goes in the touring category and not cruiser?
Just wondering. Personally I'd say cruiser, but I am only a beginning biker

I'm pretty sure it's because it has more permanent side panniers, my father has a bike with side panniers and that classes as a tourer. Most likely the same thing with the Indian Springfield. It might be a cruiser style, but it is a touring bike.

Was thinking that could be it, but seems a bit weird that if you were to remove those panniers you got a cruiser and vice versa.
Tho a lot will call em choppers which it really isnt ofcourse
