No PPF. I can detect some small impact points where the hood has been hit by small rocks, but the actual damage is much less than I thought I would see. Our Mazda chips down to the primer every time a speck of sand hits it. This paint job is either really tough or the primer is the same color. Should you get the PPF? If you want to keep your car perfect, I would say yes. I’m hoping mine will get enough wear and tear that one day I’ll say screw it, from now on it’s going to the automated car wash. I hand washed it today for the fourth time on the trip today. It’s harder on the road then in my driveway.
Thanks for the videos! It looks like you're right in my neighborhood. Hoping I'll see the car around town at some point. I'm looking to get one to replace our Model 3. Did the dealership charge you a markup? When I was checking recently, it seemed like the Seattle dealership was charging quite a bit over MSRP.
I did pay over MSRP. They didn’t import many limited models. Either you pony up or wait for 2023. I wasn’t in the mood to wait after waiting of 32 weeks for a Mach E and getting a note from Ford that it was going to be another 12 weeks. I have places to go and things to do. I did not pay the price that the dealer was asking. Everything is negotiatable.
@@evatrics5902 Totally fair. Since I already have an EV, I'm okay with waiting a bit of extra time to avoid the added costs. Still looking forward to eventually making the switch.
Loving it. The best car for us for sure. We have had to for 2 weeks and we have put over 1300 miles on it. We're looking forward to a monster road trip at the end of April.
@@DanAchatz1 limited. I live in Olympia so the closest dealership is either Tacoma or Puyallup. Tacoma said they are adding $5000 but Puyallup said no mark ups. But it’s all about negotiating just like you said earlier.
The animation is almost as cute as carol!!! You guys are couples goals!!!
Hello there, I'm a new subscriber. Love your first vlog video and nice car ...
Thank you for watching.
This is pretty cool! Finally, people about our age, and that live in Washington to boot.
I have noticed there are plenty of people out age that have Ioniq 5’s. It’s a super car.
I have the same color arriving this month! Did you have any protection applied to the paint? Ceramic coating or PPF?

How are you guys enjoying the car?

I guess the one you ordered was VW ID4? lol
No, Mach E Premium AWD extended range.
@@evatrics5902 oh, ok. I've seen someone on id forum that cannot bear the long wait and switched. But I think he went for a model Y
Wow nice car hope this dealership did not charge you the extra $10000 they said they would charge everyone else.
Never believe an asking price. Everything is negotiable. I can say I got the deal that I wanted.
@@DanAchatz1 that’s good because they said they add $10000 to the price. Great video. Can hardly wait for my car. They are saying next month
Hope you get your's soon. What trim level did you get?

Beautiful car. The design and the performance. Good choice
Matte paint is a pain in the ass.
