My 24 arrives Friday and I wouldn’t trade it for a 25. New steering wheel is ugly. Rear camera is now exposed, no more retraction. IWC clock removed leaving a big ugly space. The only thing I would want from the 25 is the new hydraulic suspension but I sure don’t want a first model year of it. Lexus has been using almost the same hydraulic suspension for years and it still has issues, particularly with leaning. When the fluid lifts one side or the other during cornering, sometimes the fluid doesn’t even back out right away and when this happens the vehicle will appear to be leaning when parked if the fluid didn’t even out in time. Hopefully Merc has a way of dealing with it better than Lexus. As far as the exterior intake change, barely noticeable especially since I’ll have a brush guard making it even less noticeable. Edit, oh and I forgot it’s also a mild hybrid now with that new small electric motor. No thank you!!! I wouldn’t trade my 24 on Friday even if they had a 25 there and offered it to me.
I’m glad I ordered a 24. The only thing I would want from the 25 is the new hydraulic suspension. But I don’t want a first model year. There will be bugs. I also hate the new steering wheel and hate that space created where they removed the IWC clock. On top of all that the rear camera is exposed now. The whole thing seems like a downgrade to me excepting the suspension. Oh and not to mention it’s a mild hybrid now. Just something else to go wrong and not even needed.
Finally someone that thinks like me. In my case only the mbux is the upgrade for me, everything else is downgrade
