    These slow living videos are really becoming some of my favorites. While I’m having a mixed relationship with minimalism, slow living just ignites pure joy in me and brings me back to my true self. 💖

      I wish you all the best. I was ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrom (a few steps worst than burnout) for 4 years. I am fully recovered now but was the fight of my life.

    I think I’m at 5/10 at the moment - hubby has been ill, I’ve been ill, we’re moving house, I have an elderly mum in the back of my mind all the time.
    Im an HSP like you, and carrying a lot of overwhelm from the last year of illness and upheaval.
    I find sewing with friends is good therapy so I’m getting back into that, and trying to take life more slowly.
    It’s a long process but it always helps to watch one of your videos and hear your gentle voice 😊

    6 I think in balance. I was so happy to see your new video. I’ve been looking for it. I have found that out of the 5/6 you tubers I follow you are the #1 that brings me the most Joy. I am a whole person and you talk more about that. Yes decluttering I really am working on but it’s the balance that needs to be maintained Without you’ll miss other much needed parts of the whole.     Great video. Trying to live a more calm and slow life. I'm much better now but a few years ago I lived a very stressful life that led me to depression. Today is very different and I feel better each day. I apply most of the tips and they work out perfectly 👌

    I needed this caring approach to balance today. I feel pretty balanced - maybe a 5 regarding work-life balance in terms of time spent in the office vs doing other things. I've got a good exercise routine and am taking a course that I enjoy. But my work disproportionately impacts my emotional state and self-worth right now. It's a struggle and I have no idea what's next. So my outside of work time is negatively impacted by it. I appreciate your input on developing a full identity ❤️

      Oh, im a 6 currently. My 3 kids need a lot, our 2 dogs are young. But this time is short so im happy to wear myself out being the grownup they can always count on. Ill rest on the dad weekends.
      Without extended family support, its hard to balance this momming thing. Thats why i joined a fancy gym with a built in babysitter ;)

    Simple things help me when at the computer, a relaxing back ground photo, currently Dutch windmills at sunset, just beautiful. I see something new then regularly change it. Hiding desktop icons so there is no clutter to be seen (I use a large monitor).
    When in the kitchen I listen to 1940's -1950's music, pre-heavy metal or heading banging music.😊

    Loved this one, Vera! I would be super interested to hear you talk more about building resilience, especially as a highly sensitive person. I find it so tough not getting overwhelmed when things get consistently tough. 😅

    I'd say my balance is like a 5/10. Lots of room for improvement. I focus so much of my time and attention on my child and keeping up with chores that it feels like sometimes I lost my own self. I absolutely love being a mom!! But there has to be room for me somewhere too.

    I get up at 4 a.m. just to enjoy the quiet but I also get to meditate, make lemon water, green tea, exercise and enjoy some relaxing music before the world wakes up at 7 a.m.

    I should say...6? Because I sleep later than usual. I'm going to correct my sleeping pattern this year and it's been challenging but getting there. But my main focus this 2023 is to be more open , more social and personal. Finding balance between work and personal life is my focal point. :)

    Life has been pretty hectic and unbalanced and I needed this video, thank you 💕 I think I'll start with implementing the 5-minute breaks; when I'm stressed, it feels virtually impossible to stay still for 5 minutes without doing something or reaching for my phone, but I know it's exactly what's needed.

    Beautiful video Vera thanks so much for these insights. I'm usually 8 or 9 these days in terms of balance, lately however I've been disturbed by very noisy new neighbours, loud music and so on. This has been difficult, to get sleep, rest and I'd say my balance is right off at the moment. I'm doing what I can: maybe the universe is letting me know it's time to move home (although I love my home!!)...... this video has helped me get back some balance this evening and I appreciate it 💖

    Just want to say your videos are like a breath of fresh air for me and relax me too as I feel like it resonates with me so much. One thing that stood out to me was the part where you said about avoiding stress so much to the point where you get stressed about being stressed. My husband notices this with me too and I react badly by being irritated and ratty over small things (well they seem small anyway).
    But yes, love the videos and will try also to set more boundaries within myself and in my life.

    Love these tips; the "getting up earlier" one I actually started quite recently, making sure I have some quiet time before the kids get up, and it is so helpful for starting my day peaceful instead of frazzled. Work/life balance is an odd thing for me as a SAHM, but my kids can cause overwhelm just as easily as a job (especially as a sensitive person) so it's important for me to focus on myself when I can so I can be present for them when they need me. Thanks for the video, and interjecting some calm in my morning! :)

    Thanks for all these ideas and reminders. I do live alone, not working, but so often stressing about everything especially when I have to leave my house. I do these things because I’m alone but they always cost me sooo much energy that I need 2 days to recover. The good thing is that I can and do take that time for myself 😊. I think that my balace is a 6 out of 10, but that has to do with a severe case of Crohns disease, so most of the time I have to do more than my body can handle anyway.

    I would say 9. Very early in my life, I learnt the value of balancing things. When I was a student, I never did anything in the evening nor at night. I stopped my studies at dinner time and then I had my relaxing moment doing my art work, which has always been my hobby. When I started working as a teacher, I organized my life to stop working at dinner time too and, again, have time after that for my art work. My weekends were and are always dedicated to myself and my family. Of course, there are exceptions, but I couldn’t live any other way. My father says I should have followed a career in the armed forces 😂😂😂❤️💙💜💛💗🖤🧡💚♥️

    Another wonderful video! I guess I fluctuate between 5 and 7. I have difficulty with stress management and letting go of things. I too am one to cry at the drop of a hat -- especially at movies and any TH-cam video that features an animal.

    Work/rest/play separation. I’ve had to make that number one for the most part. My “job” is currently something like “house manager/landlady.” And I live in the same house with who I rent to. Boy did I have a lot to learn. I feel like it’s a lot better now tho. I’m very glad I don’t now really have to share a kitchen space for the most part. Also all their noise and company is “over there” now along with all their messes that I could not live with. I basically had to claim my turf back and now I have basically like my own little apartment setup over here. Lol. But yah. Add to that how the construction wasn’t so great either so I literally have to leave the house for complete breaks Bcuz my job is “the house” (also add to that cat mom of 7 and a few strays and some raccoons outside) and looking at it 24/7 makes it hard to just chill and rest. It’s a hundred times better now as the only shared space really is the laundry area. Now that I’ve got the humans out of my hair lol, I have been able to manage the cat mom stuff better and we are coming along better with feeding times and sleeping arrangements and potty areas between us. 😅😅
    When I finally get to move, I’m pretty sure I want nothing more to do with work at home jobs or entrepreneurial endeavors. I want to go to work. Come home to a small, simple space and not think about work at all until I’m actually there on the clock. And then also a job that isn’t too high stress or too high profile either.
    I think before I made all these house changes, it was like 3 or 4 lol. Now it’s prob more like 7 or 8.

    I really like this video, thank you very much Vera. Very useful to me, especially this idea that life balance is not a state but a constant process, and how to achieve it. I see your yoga movements, you seem to be quite skilled at it. Would you consider making a video (or several) about your preferred movements, and what they bring to you ? Fir instance, what to do when I feel stressed, what to do when I feel tired ... I think it could be very useful to me, and probably other viewers. I do practice yoga in courses, but I would very much like to be able to practice a little bit when needed, not only during my yoga on-line sessions. Have a nice week-end ! 😊

      I also think it's good idea. 😊 If you feel stressed there are some videos on TH-cam about how to calm down the whole body in maybe just a minute. Google the Vagus nerve and you can find some very easy examples of how you can do it. Yoga nidra is also good to lay down and listen to, as well as for example meditations. Chakra sleep meditation on TH-cam is one of my favourite meditations.

    My life is a zero, i`m totally out of balance and really struggling........ but i`m trying to find these small moments of happiness. Like the weather was really good today, so have been out in nature and that was really good :)

    1-10 I'd say my life is a 2 or 3. Seriously. It's a complete mess, but it was at a 1 about a month ago. I'm very slowly making small changes to improve my life. It's slowly, but steadily improving. ❤️

    I too find your videos very inspiring. I would give me a 4/10. I work fulltime at a special needs school, have to prepare things at home too.
    I have problems switching off and often think about my pupils.

      I do that, playing the flute is one of my hobbies. :) It‘s just that with getting older it‘s more and more difficult to find a balance. I need more energy to do my job than twenty years ago! Thank you for answering :)

    Not that I disagree with what you said about stress but to me it’s’ unresolved stress’ that’s unhealthy. I think you alluded to this and I kept thinking about some that put so much effort into doing everything they can’t resolve their stresses in a reasonable way. 7/10 because I have some indecision about one particular cause of stress. What to do, how to resolve conflicting emotions? I ask myself this fairly often. 73 today, YIKES!!! 😛
