Hey there! 🇬🇧 Yes, it's true that monthly expenses have gone up in the UK, but don't let that deter you from considering migration. Instead, view it as an opportunity to upskill yourself and boost your earning potential. The UK offers a diverse job market and countless chances for personal and professional growth. So, embrace the challenge, invest in your skills, and watch your income soar!
Thank you very much Avi and Gaurav, really appreciate it! I have been thinking about moving to London from India and getting all facts and opportunities right definitely helps :)
I am in London since a year; While I like the place, I always consider my home as India. So, I have set up my base in Bangalore and travel to other countries if the work that I do demands that I be there, but only temporarily. I like it that way; get to travel around, will have more all round exposure. I like your videos as they are honest and not hyped. One thing that I want you to educate your viewers is about PPP ratio. People tend to compare Pound and Rupee in conversion value; but that is not a true reflection of the purchase power. I always look at PPP when I am paid in other currency and I feel that I get paid better in India, when I use this PPP yardstick. Worth to educate our students and lot of aspirants who want to come to UK due to 1:100 conversion rate.
Bro London me rent/mortgage thoda or expensive hai baaki to almost same hi hai. Your point about higher savings in India is totally valid, my friends in Bangalore are saving more than what we can in UK with higher quality of life.
As an Indian living in UK, this is most accurate video. In fact this is most accurate channel you should be following for UK. I used to follow this when i was in india, i dont usually watch this now but other vloggers just paint rosy pictures but this couple do honest job of showing pros and cons
Agree fully on this. The same is true for India as well. And mainland Europe. So this is the time for us to keep floating, as cost benefit wise it is not the right time to leap or swim to get to the shore. I really like the way you two do your videos. Love your feet on ground approach.
Rent increase in contract is just a number. Landlord can increase any percent annually for private houses. It will be capped only for govt housing in UK.
Very well done! Both of you look wonderful. I returned back from US too will soon make a video on monthly expenses. You are absolutely right. Savings in India is much better thanks to huge difference in cost of living. We renovated our bathrooms in our flat with the latest fittings, glass enclosures, plumbing and tiles for less than ₹1 lac each bathroom....
Can not thank you guys enough..I am moving to UK in june with my husband and daughter. Had so many doubts but your videos are so positive. Keep going the good work

Mindblowing information ... deep appreciation for sharing the current economy status in the UK, with relation to living costs in the UK. Consumer goods prices has increased world over ... here in the se asia too inflation is sky rocketing. As u all living in the West, u feel the pinch more coz savings has lessened in comparison BUT inflation has hit world over very hard too. I feel ur pain Gaurav & Avi, as I once lived in the West ... Thankyou much for the detailed breakdown of the current living costs - extremely helpful for manyyy. 👍😊🙏❗️
Absolutely correct information. Yes, we watched your videos over and over again before coming here. I shifted to UK as a student last year. Luckily I ended up with a job before completion of my dissertation. I am in London. The rent is sky high, groceries prices have gone high like anything. Moreover, 95% of landlords will reject you on the basis that you are student, dont have a sponsorship yet. I am sharing my views just for a year. Its really tough, everyday comes in with a new challenge. Just sailing through because dont want to look back and say, took a bad decision.. Don’t get disheartened by the negative comments. you both are doing a great job! 🎉
This video is truly an eye opener. Thank you for all these details. You guys are amazing, I pray that you’ll get better incentives at work and earn a lot so that you don’t have to sell your car. Wishing you both the very best in life! Thanks a lot, Avi & Gaurav!!

Hi, you didn't mention about water bill and Road Tax. and Council Tax. They are the highest in the UK at the moment. ❤I'm Aishwarya. watching you in the UK.❤
Hi Bro, 4100 net per month is enough for a family (4 members). Work is model is remote, and the only client meeting i should travel. Apart from London, which location will be better for the family with cheap rent.
it’s a good salary to start a life outside London.. later your wife can also find a job on dependent visa.. outside London there are so many cities to picking just one is difficult.. people usually choose Milton Keynes as there is a direct train to London and it’s closer to London too.. if you keep going further away from London the rent price will go down.. so Birmingham Coventry will be a cheaper option for you.. also if you have a child under 3-4 yrs then the salary might not be enough because you’ll have to send your child to childcare which is expensive in the Uk
India had inflation already last 20 years have seen, here since war only it seemed to have started. But still not sure will it ever stop in India. Maybe it's just global balance.
Hello, thanks for making an honest video on the struggles of living here. In the video you mentioned something about Government's support on paying energy bills. What exactly is that and who is eligible to claim it?

Agree with you on this, Gaurav and Avi... Really tough to survive here in the current times😊
If that's the case, then why go to England. People don't go abroad just to survive.
You both are very truthful about the cost of living in London these days. As my children are saying the same. They are staying in London.
We all go through this during the recession in the 90s we had choice paying the bills mortgage or eating we lived within our means
Hi Gaurav and Avi, can you please share how much salary should one expect these days to live comfortably when moving to London?
