Tomato frogs! I have a m/f pair in a 20 long. I read all over the place that 20 gallons was overkill and they wouldn’t use it but mine really utilize that space. They like to rearrange things for me and Beef, the male, has the most soothing call. Not to mention they’re so pretty. Beef is a gorgeous dark red and Roma, the female, is a pretty yellow-orange. They were my gateway frogs and now frogs are my favorite critters to live with.

Oh my gosh, I have loved frogs since I was small. some of my favorites are the Red-eyed tree frog and then the poison dart frogs. There are so many of these colorful frogs that I really love that I would not be able to name a specific one. I am not partial to the pac-man frogs.

My favorite frog are the Whites tree frogs. I have 21 of them. Super social and hilarious.

My favourite frogs to have are vietnamese mossy frog and amazon milk frog. Their colour and body characteristics are insane. Still saving money for them. Right now, I’m happy with my blue dumpy frog

I like the phylobates genus, red eyed tree frogs, fire bellyed toads and packman frogs. All frogs really. I don't have any though. I enjoyed seeing your lovely frogs and thank you for the supplements
Dart frogs are definitely my fav. Hard to pick a specific one though! Also I can definitely take that bin of darts off your hands and give them a vivarium if you decide you want to haha!

Red eye tree frogs. They are like some odd genetic cross between a frog and a monkey and they look spectacular.

I love whites tree frogs, Pac-Man frogs,wood frogs and African dwarf frogs! They’re just so cute but crazy and not so smart also that’s why I love them

I was wondering where you get your silkworms from during the winter? They are my geckos' favorite food but it doesn't seem like you can get the eggs or larvae shipped in the cold weather.

QOTD:The only frogs I've kept were Pac Man frogs. They were my secret pets in my college dorm room. Perfect pet for that haha. Their names were Thaddeus & Cornelius. 🐸🐸. I guess my favorite frog would be a Rain Frog! So cute, chubby and look like little bull dogs 😆. Great video!

We have a Pacman named Moose. He's strawberry albino and show chonky. He is a unit. My favorite frog species, though, is Breviceps adspersus. I would love to have some, but they're all imported.

I love listening to mine calling at night 😊 tho it does keep me up some nights with how loud it can be haha

At which temperature are you keeping the estivating horned frog? I have kept them in relatively cool winter conditions and I have had losses.

It is remarkable what large prey terribilis can take. It really does make them the absolute best beginner dart frog.

I’m so happy to learn that my Pac-Man frog wasn’t drying up for no reason, I hadn’t changed his care and was really surprised at how much winter was affecting him. I kept digging him up to soak his dry shed off but he was repeatedly drying up even after soaks. He is almost a year old though so maybe I’ll let him hibernate in a year but not yet 😅
He should be good! Let him do his thing and periodically add a bit of moisture to one side of the terrarium and continue to offer a water dish. Come spring you can start bumping up temps and spraying more and that’ll stimulate him to come out again!
I keep Mantella Betsileo, the brown or Bronze Mantella. It's a small personal dream of mine to keep and Breed all 16 species of Mantella and maybe look at figuring out some of the localities like the Green morphs of climbing and yellow Mantellas.
Past that I just love all frogs, Epips are my favorite Darts at this moment but that is constantly changing and I would love to work with the whole genus of melanophryniscus but many are from Brazil so it isn't likely to happen any time soon.
My absolute favorite frog and frog body type is the Atelopus and my favorite frog of all time is the Atelopus Barbotini, the Purple Harlequin toad.

Question about the dart frogs. I always heard you aren’t supposed to mix different species and colors, and it seems like you did that with the first few but then the yellow striped and phantasmal were together. How do you know which one can cohabitate and which ones can’t?
Honestly, great question! Personally I don’t suggest mixing species together in most cases. Especially those that are the same but different localities such as D. tinctorius. The only reason I’m cohabiting those frogs is because they were given to me that way from the friend who didn’t want them anymore and she had been keeping them that way for years.
@@ReptiliatusThanks for the answer! Quick follow up, I know some species like the pumilios and tinctorius are better kept in pairs rather than groups. Have you noticed any issues with the blues in a group and would you also be comfortable keeping the strawberries and the cobalts in a group as well?

❤Rep probably a little bit late but I recently had an opening in my reptile room and it just so happens to be a setup for tree frogs, with misting and plenty of room for those tub guys. Just let me know if you still need a permanent home for those guys..

Growing up there was a big toad that would sometimes show up at night close to the driveway. Since I kept crickets for my other reptiles I would go and feed him a few. It was odd though I thought that it never showed fear. I think after feeding him a time or 2 he was like oh I know you. Do you have some food for me.

They sound awesome and I have a friend who has quite a few and who has offered a few times but I think I’ll wait until I’m ready to move out because it’s a big commitment, I want to be 100% sure I’m ready because I don’t want to hurt the animal by not being responsible enough to care for something loving!
