    I feel amongst the Ebay scammers, 90% of them are buyers, not sellers.

    I hope the sellers that are selling products that are in horrible condition get the bad feedback they deserve and people will think twice buying from them. Stay with the good people like yourself. Thank you for the videos always helpful and look forward to all of the future ones.

    I sell on Mercari and I completely understand what you are saying. It's so frustrating when people say that garbage. I take pride and care when going through the process everything. If I have any spec of doubt about the condition, it gets put back up. It's like they forget that we're collectors at heart and that mentality transfers over to selling and shipping.
    Awesome content.

    Didn’t bother or concern me one bit…(other than getting my 2500+ listings changed over!) Much like you, I take quality zoomable (if that’s a word) pics so my customers always know what they get. And I don’t hesitate to trash any card I would not want to receive myself! Thanks for the video bro!🤙🏻

    As a buyer and a seller on eBay, I have never received a damaged card and if I did receive one, where the seller offered either to replace it or offer a refund. There was only one instance that as a seller that I did list a damaged card & forgot to disclose it. The buyer did not hold it against me, said in the feedback that he should haved looked at the pictures more closely.

    I've had more issues with buyers making false claims about their cards not being delivered (tracking usually shows its en route) or they say the card isn't the same as the picture provided when they bought it.
    I've only had one seller who refused to deal with me because I was new to Ebay and he eliminated my auction bids because he felt like I wasn't a true buyer. I had to send multiple messages to this seller about it and he still had the audacity to say I am a scammer!? After calling Ebay about it, he was reprimanded for discrimination.

    Near mint or better = PSA 7 or better. There will always be scammers on both sides of the street. I just do my best to keep my side clean.

    When buying raw cards I've experienced a lot of bait and switch sellers. They will post pictures of a beautiful mint raw card with perfect centering and sharp edges that look like possible PSA 10s. Buyers bid a high amount thinking they're getting the card in the pic. But then the seller sends a different example of the card that is vg-ex badly off center or has dinged corners, print defect, etc, etc.

      I can see that happening with some sellers its definitely not the majority though. Thats what EBays INAD complaints are for though.. get your money back and hopefully enough to get those sellers removed.
      Thanks for watching!! Hope you dont get many more sellers like that.

    • @urbandisturbin
      @urbandisturbin 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TheFlippingSportsGuy No not the majority but still far too common. Plus even if you file INAD complaint you still have to be inconvenienced by going out of your way to return the item plus the time wasted searching for, watching and bidding on the item. Plus some buyers are also sellers who spend hours searching thru countless listings to find cards worthy of grading to get graded and sell for their business and this bait and switch stuff the bad apples pull hurts many innocent good sellers businesses by causing them to lose valuable time, potential profits and by tying up their money.

      @urbandisturbin thats definitely true another issue is a lot of sellers do use stock photos not the actual card.

    • @urbandisturbin
      @urbandisturbin 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheFlippingSportsGuy Yeah, which is ok for some types of merchandise but card values are far too condition dependent for such practices. Literally sometimes hundreds or thousands of dollars difference between a PSA 8 or 9 caliber card and a possible PSA 10.

    I understand why eBay did it. My only issue is that the description of the condition doesn't make sense. IMHO a excellent card should not have clearly visible signs of wear

    • @TheFlippingSportsGuy

      agreed thats what i think of excellent as well but then i see PSA considers an excellent a 6. in my head if i see a PSA 6, especially anything from junk wax on i wont even look at because i feel its a shit card.

    The listing change is not a big deal. And it is a good idea. You have 4 choices and after each choice, there is a description behind each choice. No biggie!

    The funny thing is simple it falls on buyers to look at pictures to see conditions also. Look what excellent is damaged corners light scuffs. I sold a few cards recently since change with the condition excellent and I’m worried that buyers views of excellent is different then eBay’s views. That’s what I liked about the general used because we can mention the issues we see but not graded the card. How many times we send to psa a card we feel easy 10 but get a 7 crack it send off again get 8 or 9… there is no perfect opinion on condition because we think it’s one thing we send get different crack and resend get a third opinion crack again can even get 4th. Expecting buyer to agree with our grade is hardest. I been at show buyer seller says should get 10 i point out issues and they really don’t see them but other buyers see it. Is seller scammer or just not seeing card in right light.
