What i like about your vids luke is how passionate you are about your classic systems. Sega Saturn is a classic. The most i do to my saturn is change the battery so i gotta give you credit on your repair skills. Keep up the interesting vids.
Love the repair vids Luke! keep em coming! :) Great seeing you keep some of these old consoles from the scrap heap with a little love, elbow grease and some spare parts.
This was great Luke, love to see this type of video. It's very satisfying to see a dead system come back alive! And since i really love the Saturn, this video put a huge smile on my face :) Martin
Well, at least this time no one can say you didn't show how to remove and replace the laser like the last time and you did it twice! Lol! Great videos by the way!
sir, you are a genuis...if you did ever start your own video game business in japan, i bet you would end up making a killing with all the repairs you could do awesome stuff as always, keep up the great work :D
I was thinking "Will he remember the solder blob?","Will he remember the solder blob?","D'oh!" XD Good job! It's an easy trap for newbies dealing with lasers. "I just bought this thing, why dunnit werk?" Now they know why. :)
@5:00 lol Great to see more Saturns saved, they don't seem to be getting enough love lately :) You should get a link cable and the link version of daytona cce or sega rally, it's a blast with friends!
Very nice work there - never changed a laser assy. Out of interest, was your old V-Saturn originally an expensive get or was it a bargain buy? Also do you prefer to collect / hold out for boxed systems/games or does price dictate? Thanks :D
haha, i definately highly enjoyed this video luke :D gotta love that dual booting, what a great idea, i used to do that with my cd´s back in the day, playing one song on the stereo and a copy of that song on the xbox. most of the time i also had this little echo effect wich was awesome xD
Great vid, Luke! I'm so glad to see that old Saturn running. It's the same model that I have and it just feels good seeing it run again, as stupid as that sounds, lol.
love seeing these consoles come back from the dead, keep working your voodoo, is there a specific model of laser to look out for? and do you know if the lasers are interchangable between most / all saturns? asking as i have one on the way(saturn not laser but may need laser)
Nice job man. I enjoyed the Daytona "Live concert sound effects" :P Hey, speaking of link cables, do you think some day you might be able to show off either League Bowling or Riding Hero's dual AES link up option? I've never owned more than one AES (at a time anyway) and always wanted to see it in action. Thanks
so if you have a link cable for the saturn, they will automatically boot at the same time? never saw a link cable for the saturn though, i think it is just as rare as the dreamcast or playstation linkcable, well at least in germany, lol^^
My first Saturn had a problem reading discs, in a couple of games you notice squares in diferent colours, I tought at the begining it was the laser but It did also the same when boot logo apeared I bought two used ones for a price of one and I keep my old one to spare parts but maybe its something that its easy to repair can you help me? By the way good video.
Dude u r amazing at fixing stuff!! I can never do that in a million years. Thankfully I don't make a living fixing anything ,otherwise I'd go hungry.LOL. R u generally a all around handy guy or mainly video game related? Sorry for questions, but Ive wondered ever since I watched u years back. How did u end up in Japan being from Detroit as u have mentioned? Anyway nice video.
Sorry to confuse you Luke, Gale Racer was reviewed by another of my favourite TH-camrs...RetroSnow. I'd love to see you play it though, gota love all that scaling :)
i just bought a saturn off ebay for £5 it arrived today and to my pleasure it was the exact same saturn as the one i have so i changed the main board over and the laser and she works a treat. my case is like brand new so wanted the parts for that. rebuilt the dona saturn and she works great too lol its so funny cos its all dodgy parts but messing with them and tweaking them got a console i can use wile leaving my as new mk1 and mk2 nicely stored away safe

Your repair videos are some of the best videos in your channel for sure.
Nice to see someone else still loves their Saturn like i loved mine. good job.
IT'S ALIIIIIIVE! Haha, nice one Luke. I never doubted for a moment that you wouldn't get them up & running.
Double fix! Haha it was nice to see you repairing those Saturns!
Love the repair vids Luke! keep em coming! :) Great seeing you keep some of these old consoles from the scrap heap with a little love, elbow grease and some spare parts.
Nice to see you've got them both up and running. Great job as always, Luke.
Man you make the hardest things seem so easy..
Great vid as always
This was great Luke, love to see this type of video. It's very satisfying to see a dead system come back alive! And since i really love the Saturn, this video put a huge smile on my face :) Martin
Great job Luke. I definitely need to expand my Saturn the collection.
Awesome work Luke!
Nice! This looks like an easy and quick repair to do. At least as long as you remember which unit to put the new laser in. :P
Well, at least this time no one can say you didn't show how to remove and replace the laser like the last time and you did it twice! Lol! Great videos by the way!
This was enjoyable to watch Luke, Thanks
What was the sound at 19:02!? Sounded like the Saturn short circuited. Perfect boot up.
Nice work & fun !
I love your repair videos.

Great work! I'm repairing six GBA SPs while I watched/listened. :D

I hadn't heard that Daytona song before. Obviously it can't match the original but it sounded pretty good!
Vídeo show man!
Congratulations
that Victor Saturn looks great! the other one looks like someone took a piss on it hahaha!
can you put the link ,where you bought the new laser?
Wont the LCD screen the victor saturn was hooked up to have more input lag then the older tube tv the regular saturn was hooked up to?
Nice job man. I enjoyed the Daytona "Live concert sound effects" :P

Thanks

wow the laser swapping looks mega easy to do!
Luke have you tried the "Region free bios"?

Does the pickup fit a specific model of 3DO or all of them?
Is a functioning Saturn even worth the money you gave for the replacement laser?
I imagine SEGA Saturns must be relatively cheap to come by in Japan.
nice job
REMATCH!!!
had fun watching this, i often make the same mistakes & lol at myself! - tho i dont have a camera recording me :P
Super Sweeet!!!!!
Saturn Rules!
what if you dont remove this solder point?

So you don't need adjust the pot?

fixed one i picked up adjusting tje potientometers ;)
DAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYTTOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAA!
I think the Japanese have a better Sega Saturn logo but I prefer the startup music of the western version, if you can even call it music.
I doubt there will be much difference in honesty?
IN THE USEERRAAA
The laser unit won't work.
The Saturn was meant for CRT anyway... hmmmm...
no intro? he forgot :(
Amor
Ha :) You turned into LUKE NUKEM at 08:06
v.saturn i want one
Don't litter! All jokes aside; A PS2 uses normal screws, why can't other game systems do the same? Those security screws are a pain.
