  • Feeling no support from his Mormon church, isolating himself from his family and friends; Jeff talks about his own depression and internal battle to accept his sexuality. Having a similar story to many, he is finding a new voice to help others find love and happiness. "...I am a gay man, and that is okay."

It's easy to see what a lovely person Jeff is. Luckily he didn't commit suicide, but I wonder how many gay Mormon men didn't pull through. Are there any statistics on those who killed themselves?

+John C it’s difficult to parse. Here’s an article that may help though. rationalfaiths.com/the-lgbtq-mormon-crisis-responding-to-the-empirical-research-on-suicide/

Thank you for that link. I did read a large portion of it. Understandably, LGBT suicides are hard to quantify, regardless of religion.

Hi, Jeff. Know that you are perfect, just the way you are. God loves all His flock. The Bible says lots of things, but people only focus on this one thing. Interesting that God Himself and Jesus never spoke to homosexuality. Thank you for telling your story and for your candor. Know that you have extended family here. Sending you hugs and friendship from Minneapolis, MN.

Congratulations on surviving that very dark place. I was in same place decades ago. YOUR life is YOUR life, even if it’s not what you expected or what you were told it should be. If your religion, your family, your location does not allow you to live your life, as difficult as it can be, go to something that will allow it. It‘s not as difficult as trying to not exist in your own life.

You are beautiful, easy to love. I lived a screwed up life with this same struggle between sexuality and religion. Agony.

Okay, so forgive my ignorance, but is Utah the Mormon capital of the United States of America?

Looks like the monster in the closet was only mad,
cause it was caged in there innocently.
Once it‘s out, it seems to be a particularly nice companion.

Are there no unattractive Mormon men coming out? All of the guys on this channel are drop dead gorgeous. Not saying that's a bad thing...
