@@nosamsemaj I don't want to wear the same clothes every day. I don't want to wear the same watch every day. I cant spend a few thousand grand per watch if I want to have a lot of them. And amazingly: the TAG came with a pressed clasp. At the time of buying I didn't even pay attention to it. Now I think they should be ashamed of themselves for that price.
I would appreciate a same video focusing on high beat quartz. Owning multiple watches it is convenient they are always accurate and you hardly see the difference with automatics
Do you mean HAQ? I have owned a Longines VHP GMT for just over 18 months and it is running +/- 0 seconds for all that time. THAT is HIGH ACCURACY!!! Love watches, quartz or auto makes no difference. HOROLOGY RULES!!!!
@@grahamyoung622 No, look at the vid at the scene where Jodi shows the pagani hommage of a rolex daytona. A normal quartz ticks ever second, so you see the second hand jump every second. A high beat lets the second hand make multiple small movements per second so it almost looks and feels like an automatic, but they are quartz so you don't have to wind them and set them if you only wear them like 1 day a week.
@@findingandvalue unfortunately the second hand (3:00 sub dial) only ticks once per second on the Pagani Daytona homage. You're referring to the Chronograph hand which has the sweep.

I have a few of the watches in this listing and love the San Martin’s I own, but the Pagani Design Date Just was a big surprise. It is extremely comfortable, great looking, solid watch!
The San Martin sub is a really strong argument against getting another zelos. The brand seems to hold a sweet spot of respectability against many of the other contenders
I’ve got several San Martin’s including the ones here & I can’t recommend them more highly!👍🏼 High standard of build, finish, keep terrific time & are great value. Yes I also have a couple of Zelos.😎👍🏼
I really like mine. The only marks against it are the sharp edges and the clasp. Objectively, it's a good one. But if they're gonna ape Rolex, why not go all the way and use their glide lock or easy link clasp? They've done that on their new 41mm "Sub."

I brought the Pagani datejust (blue) into my local watch shop to fix the bracelet clasp (because Pagani). Came back to find that the watch tech was so impressed, he had bought it for himself. Definitely a great recommendation 👍
Just got the Addies Dive Petite Prince Flieger with the sterile dial about a month ago for $72 shipped. Loving it so far. Seems pretty well made and so far very accurate.Can't go wrong with a Seiko movement.
My first experience with Pagani Design and AliExpress was the 11/11 sale last year. It took two months to get the watch, and there was almost no communication from anyone. I like the watch, but not AliExpress so much. I've heard from many others who have had much better experiences with them. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I just might have to buy another one now that I've seen this video. That Pagani Aquaracer homage looks really good. Great video, Jody.

Whether you’re into homages or not I think it’s interesting to think about the quality level you get from the homage brands on Ali. Most of the time you’ll get a reliable if not very exciting movement, sapphire crystal, solid endlinks, solid bracelet, milled clasp, screw down crown and everything will be aligned. There are many lower end brands where you don’t get any of those and there are entry level Swiss brands that won’t get you all of those for significantly more cash. And I imagine a lot of these factories used by the homage makers on Ali also supply parts to the more established big names too. We pay more for the “right” name on the dial than we do for the actual physical components of the watch a lot of the time.
I bought the pagani seamster homage with the rubber strap.... Lovely watch but it was less than a week before the rubber strap started falling apart. I'd recommend getting it on the mesh

I've been Ahm'ing & Arh'ing over the 38mm Retro Diver from San Martin since its release. I think I hit them up for a custom dial and buy it. A cracking watch for the $.
A few weeks ago I bought my first Cadisen and I am impressed how well it is made. I was Pagany Customer allready. Thank you for the great Tipps. San Martin seems to be a brand which stands a bit out in terms of quality and looks. I think I will try the BB 58 homage.
Wife has just had a Benyar Milgaus hommage delivered from AliExpress. Sister brand to Pagani. Not too bad tbf for £43. Looks big on her wrist but she likes bigger watches. Bought this as a daily beater and to keep the Omega Seamaster Professional I gave her as a weekend special.
Agreed, sort of. The PT5000's are supposed to be pretty decent movements but they've only been around since 2015 (ETA clone of course), so not a long history-not sure how reliable they will be in the long term. The Chinese CAN do great stuff. Is the Sellita worth an extra $200? Hmmmmm.............
PD Daytona BEST value for money, PERIOD! The rubber straps on the black/rose gold model are excellent and take away the possible negatives of the sometimes dodgy bracelet clasps (I have good ones, but that is not always the case) Great reviews, Jody. Can't wait for the next installment. Maybe pick myself up a PD 'No time to Die' on a strap (I already have the white one on a blue strap, the strap isn't too bad and I got a free one as well. That NH35 is running +1 second fast/day, go figure!!!!!).

Not sure why cheap homage watches would bother with any Swiss movement. Seems silly. Miyota or Seiko, absolutely. Cheap and reliable. Perfect for a cheap homage.
Seagull makes nice high beat movements that you'd think would be a perfect fit for these low cost high value Chinese homages. Maybe that's what that pt5000 (I think) is that Cronos offers on some of their watches.
@@marcusebenhack9053 I legitimately have no issue with Seagull movements, but personally would prefer a Seiko or Miyota for a cheap watch. Better quality control, cheap to replace, and can be repaired by any jackass watchmaker. I'm sure the Seagulls are cheap to replace, but probably fewer watchmakers are familiar with them.

San Martin have just released a 2021 subby homage which has the PT5000. A slight variation to the Water Ghost but more of a direct competitor to the Cronos.
One brand I still want to see you review is phylida. They're pretty new and had a speedmaster homage at one point Edit: it was also an actual manual chrono too for around $150-200
Phylida is not a brand. It’s the same shameless knockoffs you used to buy from street vendors in Bangkok and Chinese cities, now they cut out the middleman.
If Pagani tried to conceal the truth and fool their potential customer with a Photoshop (2:35) before we even make a purchase, what make you think Pagani will be honest when you finally give Pagani your hard earned $? Can I just add I bought two Paganis back last summer. A submariner homage and a GMT master homage. Both are great looking and well finished for the under £75 each I paid. But, the GMT stopped working after about three months. Frustration and sadness prevailed, although at the price my wallet wasn’t in too bad a shape. So I messaged them and said “surely it has a guarantee period?” Yes sir it does send it back, they replied. Long story short watch departed Uk 18th December for China - 10th March brand spanker’s replacement arrives from China. I would say I trust Pagani. Result: happiness!

Hi there...you should also look at the Phylida range. Their new Sub in 40mm looks better then Pagani...glide lock for example! The NTTD Omega that they do, I have the new V2 version, is MUCH nicer then the Pagani that misses some details. They now also have a very cool deep sea James Camaron version of the Sea Dweller...also realy cool!
Loved the vid Jody! No mention of Phylida though? The Phylida SMP homage is so good it’s surely worth a look. It runs rings round the Pagani Design version in terms of looks. They are also making some nice looking submariner homages as well...

I've had a few of these (Pagani Daytona, NTTD Seamaster, 6105 clomage), but am coming around to thinking that homages just aren't my thing (although I love my Helson Ploprof homage) - Looking forward to the originals! That said, if you do like a homage watch, then there are some good ones here! JOMW is always my first stop for reviews - keep up the good work Jody!

The Parnis daytona is much better for smaller wrists. Has thinner, shorter lugs that are more accurate to the real thing and has no ugly date window. Got mine for £40 and its always on the wrist

So I was interested in if there was any otherwise I would not have asked. I like the look of BR but it it has not to be a "copy" and I am not that big of fan so I am willing to pay BR money.

I have the Pagani Omega homage on the vintage rubber and I have to say it wears very nice, but the strap is beginning to fray. The movement also gave me some issues, but I think its fine now.
Just bought the PD JB No Time To Die on the black strap from The Trendy Men's Watch Store. It was posted same day, typical for this store-their service is excellent. I have bought from them before, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SELLER, and their prices are consistently amongst the lowest on Ali come sale time. A week or so ago they sent me a $10 voucher, but I didn't logon to Ali in time to redeem it. I contacted them and they reinstated it, which was very good of them, esp. since the sale was still on.

It's not because of the typos, it's because of what they represent. It's literally a five minute job on their part to correct it, but they are still yet to make that correction. If companies can get complacent with things like this and people buy them, they will keep doing it and not give a crap. Today it's just typos, who knows what that may be in the future...

I hope Guanqin never fixes their typos, the 8500 cheronometer has grown on me and I think it adds a little extra charm on an already good watch.

Phylida is not a brand. It’s the same shameless knockoffs you used to buy from street vendors in Bangkok and Chinese cities, now they cut out the middleman.
If Pagani tried to conceal the truth and fool their potential customer with a Photoshop (2:35) before we even make a purchase, what make you think Pagani will be honest when you finally give Pagani your hard earned $? I don't trust Pagani. Thanks for pointing it out. I will stick with San Martin. They have been treating me well since day one. Thanks for the video! Keep up the good work!
Can I just add I bought two Paganis back last summer.
A submariner homage and a GMT master homage. Both are great looking and well finished for the under £75 each I paid. But, the GMT stopped working after about three months. Frustration and sadness prevailed, although at the price my wallet wasn’t in too bad a shape. So I messaged them and said “surely it has a guarantee period?” Yes sir it does send it back, they replied.
Long story short watch departed Uk 18th December for China - 10th March brand spanker’s replacement arrives from China. I would say I trust Pagani.
Result: happiness!

Hi there...you should also look at the Phylida range. Their new Sub in 40mm looks better then Pagani...glide lock for example! The NTTD Omega that they do, I have the new V2 version, is MUCH nicer then the Pagani that misses some details. They now also have a very cool deep sea James Camaron version of the Sea Dweller...also realy cool!

Loved the vid Jody! No mention of Phylida though? The Phylida SMP homage is so good it’s surely worth a look. It runs rings round the Pagani Design version in terms of looks. They are also making some nice looking submariner homages as well...

Merkur/Seizenn do a "Mini Turtle" equivalent to the Steeldive Willard. 😉
Merkur also has a homage to a really nice Sinn UTC, gmt watch looks incredible.

I've had a few of these (Pagani Daytona, NTTD Seamaster, 6105 clomage), but am coming around to thinking that homages just aren't my thing (although I love my Helson Ploprof homage) - Looking forward to the originals! That said, if you do like a homage watch, then there are some good ones here! JOMW is always my first stop for reviews - keep up the good work Jody!
The "Seamaster" is soooooo tempting, but Pagani Design is a pandora's box I'm too afraid to open lol.

The thing is, I'm afraid that by getting the SM, I'll end up getting more & more of them, the BB & XII are already giving me ideas, plus the GMT-Master II. Its a slippery slope my friend lol.

The Parnis daytona is much better for smaller wrists. Has thinner, shorter lugs that are more accurate to the real thing and has no ugly date window. Got mine for £40 and its always on the wrist

@@vianouche1 Often you see videos and articles about homage watches for Rolex and Omegas etc. But I have never came across homage for BR. So I was interested in if there was any otherwise I would not have asked. I like the look of BR but it it has not to be a "copy" and I am not that big of fan so I am willing to pay BR money.

I have the Pagani Omega homage on the vintage rubber and I have to say it wears very nice, but the strap is beginning to fray. The movement also gave me some issues, but I think its fine now.
Just bought the PD JB No Time To Die on the black strap from The Trendy Men's Watch Store. It was posted same day, typical for this store-their service is excellent. I have bought from them before, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SELLER, and their prices are consistently amongst the lowest on Ali come sale time. A week or so ago they sent me a $10 voucher, but I didn't logon to Ali in time to redeem it. I contacted them and they reinstated it, which was very good of them, esp. since the sale was still on.
I have a Guanqin with the Seiko NH35 movement and a Invicta sub homage with the NH35 movement as well ( I think so) and was wondering if you would recommend the Guanqin Sub homage over the Invicta? Thank you. Absolutely great channel!

"If you can get past those two typos" on the Guanqin. No, i won't get past those two typos. It's been so long since it's out, even your video was almost a year ago. It's not because of the typos, it's because of what they represent. It's literally a five minute job on their part to correct it, but they are still yet to make that correction. If companies can get complacent with things like this and people buy them, they will keep doing it and not give a crap. Today it's just typos, who knows what that may be in the future...
