@SugaMama-u7g hi 👋 it's money from the previous pay period that was not spent that will be "rolled over" to the current pay period. Once my October budget was closed out I ended up having 136.03 in Rollover that I put into my November budget.
Great budget Stephanie! Isn’t it funny how you’ll go over each number and you still won’t find the missing piece of the puzzle. At least you found $20 of it!
Speaking of Buy Nothing, do keep your eyes peeled on it for clothing for the boys; especially on either side of Christmas going into the new year as folks go through the old while putting away the new. I realize that you are in a decluttering mode but similar to retail, often items come up in the off season. Consider guessing at the kid's sizes come spring and summer then picking up as much of those wardrobes as possible through one of the free gifting pages. If after bringing Buy Nothing items home they/ somemofmthej jjst dint seem right or come summer you discover you guessed wrong on the fit, you can always list them again on Buy Nothing. The other stuff you can sell.
Please Google feed stores in your area then call each to find out the cost of thier chicken feed. Around here, the feeds at stores that actually supply farmers are generally cheaper than Tractor Supply. You are at point that every $5 saved is important. Once you figure out what feed costs at the different stores, write down the name of the store, thier address, phone number and store hours. Then you can decide the logistics of getting there between your commute route and times, Bryan's commute days and times, and the other times you are out and about. Even if you save just $1 to $2 periodically, your budget could do with that savings.
As ypu consider alternative job offerings, please consider what the retirn to the office is costing you. For a nice round number between Carter's wrap-around care and extra vehicle fuel ill figure it at $1000. The theroretical work month jas 4 weeks and 160 hours. Pre-tax this comes out to 6.25/ hour of added cost (1000/160). If the sum of your taxes is 25% then your take home pay takes a $4.68/ hour hit; (1000/ 160)×.75. If the sum of your taxes is 33% then you're effectively losing $4.12/ hoir in added costs. Maybe you can keep the search up for a less costly child care option? I will guess that Bryan's days off are week days; maybe a place you can shave 1 or 2 days off per week of care?
The 1k seems about right. Bryan's off days vary. This Week he is off Friday and Saturday. Last week it was Wed and Friday. Most places want u to do tue/thur or m/w/f for part time care and we don't have the luxury of picking his days. I did call 2 places today when I was at work when I saw your comment pop up. One was the same price we pay now and one was 210. I will keep trying to find less expensive places. Crazy to me that we pay 200 for a 5yo. When my kids were small those were newborn prices.
@budgetfor5withstephanie Full time daycare in the near by big city for a toddler type is $14,000/ year. $10,000 in the area is considered a bargain. In-home day care is usually cheaper with babysitting being cheaper-ish yet. With babysitting you have a chance at a variable schedule too.
Great budget with me as usual Stephanie. Trying to find a mistake in the budget is so frustrating 😂😂…A magic month is awesome. Hope everything stays status quo for November so you can throw something extra at Home Depot.
Can Bryan continue to bring home food stuffs? Chickens' bodies can actually handle less ideal food than pigs. Im not suggesting that you replace the chicken feed with food waste but rather, you supplement the feed with enough food scaps to reduce the amount of required feed.
Yes, he actually brought them home a back of salad scraps yesterday. My neighbor called me and said he gave some of the eggs we have him to our other neighbor and he liked them and is willing to pay 5.00 for 18, if he gets eggs 3 times a month, that'll pay for feed. Were getting a dozen eggs a day and with the pigs gone, they will again be in abundance.
@@budgetfor5withstephanie Time for quiches and frittatas. Add 2 or 3 eggs to a quiche recipie amd use a glass pie pan to go crustless. Make the quiche one night for eating the next night, lunches, or snacks. - With your egg supply, even after selling them, comsidermat least one egg based dinner per week. But also look into both rice amd bread pudding; you can often add 1 or 2 extra eggs to the recipie for a hardier, more of a real food type dessert. On the other hand of you can sell one 18 count per week, you can pay for the feed and put $5 towards debt.
I forgot to add the Kids SF to my list of funds. The last 10.00 goes to the kids SF!
