Finally someone who doesn‘t show the same old boring baselocation at the easy spawn and far away from the center.
Remember in PVE you don‘t want to die by getting bored to death.
I like your choices as they are close to important recourses and make you face more then the most easy Dinos all day long.
Good Job! It seems you are really experienced in what it needs for PVE!

Thanks, some of these are definitely not beginner base locations, but worth the challenge if you ask me

I've actually built in a lot of those spots!
#3 was an amazing casual loot grind as the crates around there are all mid-high,
#2 was great being in the middle of the map, but you NEED turrets or you'll be harassed by argies and dilplos frequently,
and #1 was amazing if you don't mind the restrictions of building in the trees. The ground was a little too spicy for me, but can't beat having the immune cave at your door!

Turrets at #2 are a great idea!

Recently raided someone on pvp server with my tribe that had a base there (#1 location). The amount of cementing paste they had was insane.

About water, just build water tanks and you will have more than enough.
Don't worry, I'm like you. I can't help saying that "it's so beautiful" I spend so much time admiring the whole place.
I'm gonna move on your Number 3. I discovered this place the last time I went in game and I was amazed by the view... and the nature is very diversified...tropical, plaines, snow... small creeks and beaches. And I like that the place is pretty open not as dense, so it's not too dark. The snow coast around is breath taking too and if you follow the river it's incredible and just a little bit south at the bottom of the mountain the landscape remains me western USA with red rocks and pines... I love there.
So this place is good and you have access to a lot of path if you go on the ground, and the base area is not crowded with dangerous things.

I've thought about the water tanks, just never got around to trying them out.
It's a great spot. If there were cryopods still in I may have based there as well.

@@bumblingsurvivor You can put water tanks over each other. It rains so much you will have plenty of water.

I’ve built in the area for #8 before it was very easy to build there because the most dangerous thing we had to deal with was raptors when leaving and returning on foot

A few things ppl have to be careful of when in pve OFFICIAL, you can not build near explorer notes, supply drops, or in or around caves. Also, if you block access to resources like rare spawns/resources, notes, drops, caves, it is against CoC and devs will wipe you. A player must be able access these things via ground (on foot). Also, if you build in a player spawning spot, and a player gets stuck in your building/base, they can report you and devs will wipe you.
**Herb island; there are a few drops on this island that will prevent building, also, you can not build a wall around the entire island as this will prevent ground access to the drops, tons of ppl will come here to safely farm resources AND dinos, so expect a lot of traffic that you will not be able to block**
    Choose wisely when choosing a base location;
    1) don't build in player spawns; trapping a player in your base is against CoC and dev wipeable.
    2) don't build near or around notes; blocking access to notes via ground is against CoC and dev wipeable. (game will say "can not place structure in this location")
    3) don't build near or around caves; blocking access to caves via ground is against CoC and dev wipeable. (game will say "can not place structure in this location")
    4) don't build near or around supply drops; blocking access to drops via ground is against CoC and dev wipeable. (game will say "can not place structure in this location")
    5) don't build near or around rare resources or dino spawns which will destroy them; since this is the only map available and transfers aren't allowed, people will get very angry if you destroy rare resources/dino spawns like beaver dams, organic poly, giga spawns, spino spawns, thyla spawns, ESPECIALLY if the dino drops items needed for boss fights. Destroying rare spawns is against CoC and devs can wipe you.
    Plan base location carefully.
    Good luck 😊

Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Go directly to jail.
This is why I would never touch official servers. Nice tips for people who do though :)

For someone who hates MicroRaptors, You pick a #1 right where they live... :D
Every base I ever built in ASE is a location on this list, so either I got it incredibly right, or maybe there's no bad places haha

no 7 you can't build on that pillar, building blocked because of supply drop nearby, you basically can't build near any the drop points

I built at number 8 down by the back towards the lake its great so far well to me in brand new to ark so seemed cool i just stumbled across it got tired of walking around, so I built lol. but I've only seen one spino and it was way down the beach haven't had an issue with dinos around that area.

biggest downside of the fallen log location is the log doesn't have foundation support anymore.

@@bumblingsurvivor it’s okay. Because I used to play so much pvp I wanted specific types of base spots. I found 2 icebergs that were free and very large so I can mass breed like I used to. I’m considering also grabbing easy underwater
