    I have the TT350. If you put good set of rechargeable aa batteries in it, it preforms very close to the V350. I use it with IKEA LADDA 2450 rechargeables (same as Panasonic Eneloop but for 7€/4).
    With the money you save you can buy a few sets of batteries and a decent charger like an Opus BT-C3100 or similar.
    I did the test like you with power on 1/4 and the light goes out after 2 flashes but comes on again under a second and it just keeps on doing that.
    No doubt the V350 has the more powerfull battery but with some good AA's you can come close for half the price :-)
    It's a nice little flash for my Sony A6000, the only downside is the flash focus beem does not work on Sony mirrorless...

      Thank you. I have the same flash and use the same batteries with the same result. I was thinking of going the V350 route. You save me some money. Thanks again.

    This is what I should've watched before I spontaneously bought the TT Version in a store. The V would've been perfect but I idn't even knew, that it exist.

    Alkaline batteries are rubbish for a flash! Their max current draw is low so the recycle time is slow, and they lose the ability to charge the flash long before they're actually flat. With decent rechargeables the difference between these two would not have been so stark - the V would still have won, obviously, but it costs quite a bit extra, and extra batteries are more expensive too.

      I used both alkalines and rechargeable for my old Nikon flashes and did not see a big difference. I think the TT would have performed more or less the same with rechargeables. I did not have any rechargeables available at the time of the test as i recorded the test right before shipping the TT to it's new owner. For me it did not have enough juice and also the range to trigger slave flashes is very small (did not cover a venue, less than 400 sqm).
      I have wrote a short review here:

    I am leaning towards v350, but I heard from other TH-camd that the battery packs get larger in short period of time and thus won’t fit inside the slot compartment. Does that mean it is leaking?

      4 years later they perform flawlessly!

    I guess you get what you pay for. The only reason I'd get a TT350 is that it looks smaller, so I am guessing that it is lighter. I'd better go look at the specs.

    useful test! I would like to add a V350 to my Canon body, how far more or less it will usable to light in events or weddings? I prefer Li-ion over AA and flash size is awesome! hope to hear you thks for review

    • @alex.apetroae
      @alex.apetroae  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I use the flashes almost exclusively for wedding photography and so far they were reliable. One full charge per wedding in my case. I use 2 bodys each with one v350 on top plus two v685 remote.
      My opinion on this flashes is that they are ok, they get the job done. Still there is room for improvement and product maturity... For example if I store the v350,s with the battery inside one will drain the battery and one will not.
      I chose Godox because at the time I purchased them there was no real alternative from Fuji. I come from Nikon and can say all Nikon flashes I used are better quality and much more reliable than Godox.
      So for you is a good starting place, good choice to add to current flashes if you do remote flash photography but do consider the Canon version if you plan to use only one flash per body. Canon like Nikon should offer a more mature better integrated option but at a greater cost.

      @@alex.apetroae many tkhs precise and honest advice! I forgot to describe myself, I´m filmmaker, usually in weddings or events I shoot video, not photo, It´ll just an add on. And I don´t want to carry on a lot of xtra weight so V350 seems a good cost-quality ratio. With trade off as usual.

    El modelo 350f que se supone es para fuji film, es compatible con Sony serie alpha?

    • @alex.apetroae
      @alex.apetroae  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can buy the Sony version. This way compatibility is ensured. It should be possible to use the Fuji version on Sony cameras but only in manual mode.

    Pointless test. No one uses alkalines in a flash. Eneloop or similar from EBL (my favourite) or, as someone else mentioned, the Lada ones from IKEA.
