Much agree with all of this - the alcohol, or the chemical of choice, is a symptom of a bigger problem. Man that self-loathing cycle is vicious. There's nothing you can do right. Anything you achieve gets used against you. Compliments are insulting. Glug glug glug.
@_BatCountry EXACTLY! I hated when people would compliment me. It literally made me crawl out of my skin. Like, im so not worthy of what you're saying right now. Viscious! Thanks for watching my friend!
Fear is a prime motivator that keeps you in the s·@t. I had it pretty good growing up. I am not sure where the panic that messed things up came from. Coming out of college and coming up empty in the job search because hardly anyone was hiring gave me too much free time. I was given similar tests by psychologists trying to nail down the cause of my panic attacks. I had a CAT scan and EEG. I started drinking out of boredom. Then the snowball began to roll.
@ShadesOClarity oooh boredom is another killer. My wife can attest to this but, whenever the word I'm bored came out of my mouth, nothing good usually followed. Thanks for watching man! I appreciate it!
Fear and regret versus clarity and freedom. Amazing that for years we make decisions that promote the former. Thanks for posting Ron.
@OscarLook-sl4qu we are our own worst critics thats for sure. My biggest enemy had always been me. Time to fix it! Thanks for watching!!!
You got it Brother!
