You did great. You're brave to jump in a fast meet like that but you are fast enough to be there for sure. So fun watching your journey. You got this!! Btw why didn't Adam join you on the track??
Thanks Jordan. It was a lot of fun regardless. I hope to see you back out there soon! Adam was entered, but decided to hold off on racing - wanted some more training time before an outdoor race.
Sorry to hear that, IT band syndrome sucks. I've dealt with IT band syndrome several times. Here are some key points: -You don't have to quit running altogether, rest alone takes a long time for it to heal. Keep running, but cut back on volume to what you can handle, and hold off on any fast running at first. -Don't roll it out! It makes it worse. -You have to strengthen the muscles surrounding the IT band to truly fix the problem, focus on glutes and hips mostly. -Be patient, it doesn't disappear over night - Unfortunately... Hope that helps!
the 10k would be infinitely better as a road race
Agreed
Your daughter looks just like you! Absolutely adorable. Great job on the insane outdoor opener!!!
I look forward to the day I can use “my rust is busty”. Thank you for that gem
Amazing video, as always!
A true inspiration

Just insane bro. What were your favorite workouts for this training block?
The Michigan 10 days before was a good confidence builder. I also really liked 8x800. Those were good track workouts for me recently!

@@mottesen_runs ok thank you sir🥰
Lack of headband debuff😂. Jk but nice try
You are a marathoner and went up toe to toe with 10 K pro runners…. Man , you can kill them if you dedicate a few years on this event.
the 400 is the worst
400 is so much easier than literally any distance longer than it. people exaggerate the pain so much it’s not that bad
