Aww that is so sweet :)) As cheesy as it sounds, be yourself in the application! Admission officers wanna see that there is a person behind all of the essays and stats they see. There are a few videos up on my channel that may help you out :D

USC is the most prestigious? Is it more prestigious than Berkeley? That's laughable. USC applicants have lower stats. If you have great stats you'll surely get in. Berkeley admits have higher stats and the same goes for those who chose to enroll.

Since you want to get out of the cold, you’re gonna want to not go to ucb (it is much chillier and windier than la in SoCal) and should go to either usc or UCLA, but UCLA didn’t accept which is perfectly fine, usc is better

There’s always hope!! It varies year to year, but many schools do let a lot of people in from their waiting list after May 1st. Just make sure to commit to a back up school just in case. Wishing the best for you!!
Best school private: USC Best public university: UCB or UCLA Private school is not as competitive as public university. The only difference is cost/$$ I have siblings who are graduates of UCB and UCLA. My brother got into USC for grad school. I feel USC going online sucks
Y Ya USC is much more preferable than both of those schools, it is much more common to see both UCLA and UCB grads go to USC for grad school, as well as seeing UCLA and UCB first/second year, transferring to USC. It is rare to see a USC first/second year transferring to UCLA/UCB.
