COLLEGE DECISION REACTIONS 2021*& my theory why this year was so selective* (UC schools &cal states)

- Although I am smiling through the rejection, I definitely had multiple mental breakdowns later about my future LOL. I applied to a total of 8 schools (UCLA, UCI, UCSB, UCSD, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UCSC, and SDSU) and filmed my reactions for them!!
Normally UC schools are pretty difficult to get into, but this year it seemed like it was now EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO GET IN!!! I have some theories why acceptance rates for 2021 went down this year and I explained them in the beginning of the video ;)
For the class of 2021 out there, I hope you did better than I did... but if you didn't then hey, at least we can be sad together! I would love to know where you guys got accepted, so let me know in the comments!! :)

SAT: 1010 (but we didn't have to submit it thankfully XD )
GPA: 4.17

Appreciate that there was genuine acceptance and no crying in this reaction video. I’ve seen people over react in my opinion quite too much over college admissions.

Ahhhh my academic rigor wasn’t as good as yours but my gpa was higher so it evens out. My top choice is ucsd I’m so jealous 😩😩 decisions can’t come any slower

i feel so defeated for college decisions :( i took 10 honors & 6 APs at the time i was applying) but my W GPA is a 4.3 but i have only a UW 3.47 GPA. Was your UC GPA good? because my weighted and capped is a 3.71 for that. My extracurriculars include being a Vietnamese teacher volunteer, jr secretary of NHS, vp of CSF, and currently the president of NAMI (a mental health club) that I lead student presentations for as well as being able to do public speaking at townhalls for the state organization of NAMI and being part of their youth advisory committee. i went through a traumatizing experience freshman year that made my grades for sophmore year suck. do you think i stand a chance? i applied to most of the UCs you applied to thank you!
Lol I recently saw this and Im surprised, I’m and international student and I got into UCLA and CAL with a 4.0 GPA . But yea admissions this year were rough
Yeah I just got rejected from UCLA with a 4.1. I also got rejected from UC Davis
