People often forget that many of the current RM players such as Vini, Rodrygo, Camavinga, Fede were bought when they were 18. They didnt arrive as superstars - they were kids. RM knows how to help those players reach that potential better than any one. One player that often gets overlooked in RM team is Fede. He is a mental and physical monster and one of the best B2B midfielder currently. And RM bought him for 5m euros when he was 18. Unbelievable.

I think this is also the results of Florentino Perez changing how Real Madrid built their team, in his first term (2000-2006) he focused on making blockbuster moves with Galactico signing Figo, Beckham, etc and it failed miserably....when he started his second term in 2009 he started to buy "well-known" wonderkid instead like CR7 and Benzema and in the early 2020s he started to focus on hidden-gem wonderkid like Vini, Rodrygo, Camavinga, Fede and it still keep going with Endrick that will join next year

That's not why they're up his arse. It's because he's had a phenomenal season at the biggest club in the world. No club has higher expectations, when you arrive at Madrid for £100m you are under more pressure than any other player. He has performed at a very high level all season. Sure he had a few quiet games, but against highly experienced players like Rodri man marking him all game. He's 20 years of age. I don't agree with the idea that Real Madrid is not spending their way to success. There's a difference of 500 million euros in between them and the closest Spanish team in terms of the salaries they are allowed to spend. La Liga has a cap on that that is related to the benefits the club gets (through international success, revenue, etc). I mean, signing a wonderkid is more or less possible for any team, there are many. But only the biggest teams can retain these players with a ton of money, like RM. City has a ton of cases waiting to fall on them. PSG had Mbappe, Neymar and Messi at a point (bad decision in my opinion). And Real Madrid has built a team with crazy pace and talent, but come on, Ramos, Courtois, Ronaldo, Modric, Kroos, Jude were already representing their countries when they signed for RM. It's not black magic.

Man United in the Fergie days could I think, but that has severely declined. The Italian teams in the 90s and 00s as well, Milan (also Ancelotti) were huge.
Since Ronaldo went to Real though, it's just upped a gear. The rivalry with Barca helped them as well, increased focus on Barca meant increased focus on Madrid.

I mean he’s done the same thing before like weve seen it a lot more than you’d think and considering dortmund had like 2-3 weeks to just analyze since the league ended and look back on other matches. They actually even had more time than that. And as Z said, carva even gave them warnings and you just knew when that ball went out, that it would go straight back in because you could see they didn’t have ANY idea

Everyone says how boring it is to see Madrid win because they do it all that time but people often forget Madrid went DECADES without winning the CL (1966-1998). And even during the Galácticos era they had some embarrassing moments, as well as during Mourinho’s era, which was the era that officially brought in the mentality they’re so well known for. Even during this season they failed to win the quadruple, and that’s a touchy subject to them.
The club clearly went through some serious organizing and I guess they found the Champions League crabby patty formula. It’s admirable and I can only hope my club does the same. People can talk about refereeing (when I think there’s more glaring cases) but there’s no denying they offer good football and they sign great players. You can’t win that many times off of pure luck. People really need to admit they’re just good lol. That club runs like it’s its own separate city.

At one point just before half time, the commentators asked who would be the more concerned manager. They agreed it was Carlo Ancelotti. I turned to my wife and said I disagree. Dortmund played so so well in that first half and didn’t put one attempt away. Madrid looked lethargic and had no shape. I said that surely it would be Terzic because he will know that Real will go in at half time and Don Carlo will read the riot act. They’ll come out and score a couple of goals and win. And they did. And that’s what great teams do. They play in first gear and when they need to step it up they do. I’m enjoying my time as a Real fan. And I’m hoping they will continue with this amazing young group of players for years to come.
