I absolutely love this series it is definitely one of my favorite ongoing series. I always tell people to check it out and I just got the Sunday Edition last week and it is amazing and has some cool extras in the back. But it is such a good series a must for any comic fan.
One of my favourite comics at the moment, luckily I managed to get into this from the start .I have all the single issues to date, I'll still be picking this up. Great review
Hi, Mike! GREAT VIDEO! This series is so fantastic! One of my ALL-TIME favorite comics EVER! I love anthologies, whether there is an overarching story connecting things or explaining them, or is just stand alone stories! I can't really say anything more than what you said here, brother. So, I'll just say THANK YOU for your support of this title! I pre-ordered my "Sundae Edition," & when it arrived, I was in Heaven! Such a beautiful looking, feeling, smelling DLX OHC! And the content is so creepy(among other things- such as how creative the creators get w/the issues & their unique ways of storytelling)! I LOVE horror! It's my favorite genre! And I LOVE anthologies! This series is just incredible! Hats off to W. Maxwell Prince & Martín Morazzo(who's art I've always felt bears a bit of resemblance to that of the great Frank Quitely & Chris Burnham. A bit. But maybe that's just me, lol). Anyways, this is truly as good as comics get, imho. I can't imagine not getting more "Sundae Editions"! That would really suck! But I've got all the TPBs, just in case. Anyways, BIG THANX again to both you & Matt, who have championed this series since the start! Bless, you guys! Much love! Long live the Ice Cream Man!!!😊👍🏻👍🏻❤
I definitely see the Quitely/Burnham feel to Morazzos art, both of whom I adore as artists! It’s the very very minor feeling of the line work being “squiggly” that all 3 artists share. Love the style
@@TheHardcoverComic Exactly! Great way to describe it! There's a bit of a delicate line they all use to some degree. And I'm a big fan of Quitely & Burnham, too!👍🏻
I read through this book in one sitting, I loved everything in it. My favorite issue for sure is that cosmopolitan issue. I do think it falters a bit for the last issue, it was just a bit boring coming off the fantastic issue #11 it was a bit of a let down. But still worth reading
David Lee and Eddie Van Halen are totally jazzed one of thier staple song tracks appeared in horror comics vs rock stars and the world of groupies . 🤡💀
I did not get the HC which I debated quite a bit. I have all the TPB with Quarantine Special flopy. I got say I love it as well. Check out The Silver Coin. Another anthology that is great
Is this purely an anthology, or is there some sort of overarching story that ties it together in the end (not including the omnipresence of the Ice Cream Man)?
Admittedly I’m not too experienced with Corben as a writer, mostly just as an artist. What do you recommend by him?? I’d love to check some of his other work out!
@@TheHardcoverComic I can't add a link, but I got 'Shadows on the Grave', it's short stories, different art styles and a great place to start seeing what Corben can do.
Try again! Granted everyone’s got different opinions. What would you recommend as a comic you thing is one of the best recent releases out there? I’d love to check it out whatever it is!
@@TheHardcoverComic have you read ultra mega? I'm reading madman libraries and jsa right now. I haven't read comics for very long so I'm mostly catching up on all the big titles.
SOME SPOILERS - Samme here, i know its comic but two detectives entering the house with a long dead bodies inside without immediately noticing a smell just dont work, later this dope dose(highest quality) for just one person is a dose for dozen people i would guess. Thinking to return book...
Ice cream man is a gorgeous philosophical trip. One of my favorite things in the medium.

I can’t wait to pick this book up. Love the artwork/storyline. 10/10 must have
Dude, I waited and waited for the hardcover Ice Cream Man and it’s FINALLY here. They better give us a volume 2!
I HOPE SO!!

It's a lovely edition...🤘🏼💯✔️
Mine's arriving on 23rd Sept, can't come sooner enough!

I have the trades digitally, but I'm seriously considering double-dipping for this
You won’t regret it!
Just got this on your recommendation!

I’ll definitely check out The Silver Coin! Thank you for the recommendation!
just finished reading this book today whens the next sundae edition coming? I need it
I hope soon!! They’re on issue 34 after all, so there’s almost enough for a Vol 3 at this point!

There’s definitely an overarching story about the ice cream man! Although it’s a slow burning plot
How does it compare to Richard Corben horror?
