This is a great way of understanding our flaws! Not that what we feel inclined toward is just wrong and bad but that it ultimately comes from a good place and we can reroute ourselves back toward that good intent!

You can be good for the mere sake of goodness: you cannot be bad for the mere sake of badness. . . . Goodness is, so to speak, itself: badness is only spoiled goodness. . . . Evil is a parasite, not an original thing.”
