Good one, Tony. I also have one of those saws. I haven't gotten the stand yet, but that's next. One thing you'll notice is that your shop will be a lot cleaner. Cutting wheels are great but produce a lot of steel and cutting stone dust. Saws don't. Anyway, another great video and I hope you enjoy your new toy.
Like you, I do almost all my cutting with an angle grinder. I mostly use a 5" grinder for cutting now, but I did do a lot of cutting with my 4" grinder in the past. Now the 4" grinder mostly gets used for grinding.
This was not available when I needed it, but I do have some tools from Vevor that work great.
I have two Dewalt Portable Bandsaws similar to the saw shown. One is mounted on a bench-mounted or stand-alone table design stand I welded from 2x2 square tubing using examples from videos and incorporating a few that weren't. The other saw is on a stand like the one shown here from Harbor Freight and it accepts a few brands of saws. The one I made the stand for is used for smaller stock cuts and primarily straight cuts, but the stand like you use here I use for longer rounds. flat, and square stock that needs either angled or straight cuts. Both saws are easily removed to take to the woods if necessary. I carry a portable 120v power supply with me when needed.
I bought the vevor diesel heater after your video on that......the heaters are great and that saw looks good too. We use a saw like that for chain link fencing. Thanks
Slick unit for sure! After years of using grinders and chipping guns in my shipyard career, I have nerve damage in both hands so I can only run a grinder for about 10 minutes. Even with foam pipe insulation taped to the handles to cut vibration. Although not portable, I have and old bandsaw on wheels that I use quite a bit, and two Evolution saws: one is a chop saw saw and the other is a circular saw, both of which I use exclusively for cutting metal. They save my poor hands from vibration so I can still get in the shop and have fun. That Vevor unit looks like the real deal to me!
Just purchased a very similiar chinese saw and I'm quite pleased with it,particu;arly the fact that it can be used vertically (with a narrower blade) it can be sat on a bench and make some pretty fancy and fine cuts. My only disappointment was in blade quality but high quality bi-metal blades are not a budget buster and have turned my saw from good to great.
Hey Tony. I got one of those a couple of weeks ago - I love it! There are various TH-cam channels that show how to make a “table” so you can use it vertically, like a conventional bandsaw; I’m going to make one of those. Great video, man 😃🇦🇺🦘
Seems to me Vevor is the new and improved Harbor Freight. If you can wait a few days (shipping is pretty quick) it seems to me you can get likely the same exact tool rebranded cheaper. In fact the other day I bought an airless sprayer which seemed to be the same specifications as Harbor Freight, but it comes with a 1 year warranty versus 3 months. Since I wasn't in a hurry I used Vevor, and it was a bit cheaper as well.
Hi Tony. That looks like a nice tool. I have a hand-held bandsaw and was going to build a stand for it, but then Harbor Freight came out with a stand that will work with my saw. The only problem is that every time I go to HF, the stand is out of stock. I don't think Vevor sells just the stand.
If the saw does not cut straight vertically, the bottom of the vise is not parallel to the pivot bolt of the saw. I tried with feeler gauges under an angle until the angle just touched the saw blade all the time as I moved the saw up and down, then I loosened the vise and placed the feeler gauges between the vise and the table. Now the saw cuts straight. Considering the low price of the saw, I think a fault that is so easy to fixse is ok.
@@olabergem5770 That won't work in this case, because the vise is part of the table and there is no adjustment possible, because the table is not at 90° to the blade. I have not looked into any possible fix, but it would require a pretty severe modification to get it right. Possibly cutting the pivot bolt bracket and re-positioning it and re-welding it. A job for later if and when I have time to look into it more.

This bandsaw might get some good use when you build the walking beam trailer. Hope that project comes back soon, it will be interesting.
Ya I'm slacking on that one. Lol. I'll have to get back on that one soon

Vevor should be well pleased with this video.
Just like a professional production, Tony.
Have a good day.
Makes a nice clean cut
Better than chop saw
Or grinder or even
Reciprocating saw
Clean cut
Less wastage
Less mess
Less jumping
Good stuff !

Nice tool for the shop! I’ve always wanted a Norwegian finger reducer! 😂
Perfect for building exhaust!
Cool tool Tony. Thank you for sharing. Terry 😊

Good to have ad in your video
Very cool Tony, that would be an awesome edition to a shop , and it’s small enough to store on a shelf
Thats a nice machine and usefull too.Have fun with it.

Thats an awesome time and consumables saver Tony👏

Nice tool thanks for the show.
You forgot to get the shop inspector to inspect the new bandsaw!
I've got the handheld from Hobo Freight , its handy as hell , we used em in the construction trade called them portaband
Looks like this bandsaw might be pretty accurate. I have a metal chop saw that doesn't cut vertically at 90°, so I rarely use it.

Gmornin',Fitzee!
You need to make a table for it to stand fully vertical to use as a standing bandsaw not just free hand or as a cutoff machine.
👍
cutting edge ,good price
😎👍
Looks like a handy little bandsaw, but can you buy replacement blades for it?
I haven't looking into that yet but be nice to know
I’ve a similar saw from Parkside, something like Vevor, and use the sawblades from Milwauki. Lenght 1138 mm.
Nice
Tony, great music with your video. Who is it?
Vevor has some great tools.
What is the guitar track you are playing?
That's my kind of music 😊
Milwaukee nockoff
You make QVC look like rank amatuers........................................
Nice tool. Thanks.
