Mahesh sir, even though you don't work for khan academy anymore, I want to remind you that you're one of the best teachers I've ever seen. My high school physics teacher did teach us fabulously but there was just some concept something that lacked as to why I couldn't truly grasp the concept. But you sir make physics flow through my veins. RIDICULOUS to me how you do it. I'm glad for you to teach me sir.
hlo can you plz help me so ,if only a very few amount of current is passing through the galvanometer then how can it measure the whole current? isn't it rest of the current going through the other way? so reply sooon my frndd
He's not only making our concepts crystal clear, he's also teaching us how to think for ourselves! Glad i discovered your videos, it has been a true blessing!
Khan Academy is the best!!!! It always makes me understand concepts from scratch!!!!!! Wonderful platform, one of th best things that happened to me on the internet....!!!
Sir you are so much genius 🥰when I do your class most of the time I smile with lecture and your voice make me sure that you also smiling 😊believe.. in previous I didn’t smile so much when I learned it was boring but now It is enjoyable 😇
I remember my school teacher trying to explain me what's shunt, 😅😂during practical but I never got it, I thought I don't have that much knowledge to understand 😅🙌😂but when I know the basic behind it. It's so easy
I am obsessed with the teaching of Mahesh sir....!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm addicted!!!!!!! How can physics be so easy to understand!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone after watching this can fall in love with physics....!!!!!! Ahhhhh😭
Thanks sir for explaining the process of ammeter whose calculate the accuracy of current I read ammeter topic in HC Verma but I no understand whys hc Verma add shunt resistance with parallel of ammeter's coil? But finely I understood in your lecture vedio📚🥇🥇
If u already knows that 10A current u have to measure nd u have to extend range of Galvanometer according to it... Then, what was the need to measure it u already knows 10A current flows through it
ok one practical question, do we need a fuse in series with ammeter where 10micro ampere flows through just to protect our galvanometer as we are feeding in 10 Amps? ofcourse 10Amps-10mAmps is theoritically flowing thorugh shunt resistance, but what if practically less current flows through shunt resistance?
But sir , our friend also knows the secret, now she is telling that she could make it her own, not need any help of mine thanks to your efforts sir(Bhaiya)....
i am gonna cry. my physics final is the day after tomorrow and i finally understood this im so happy!!! finally, i think i like physics! thank you, thank you so much!!!
Sir that means GALVANOMETER can measure a only A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF CURRENT (in micro A) so we need to pass the remaining current through a SMALL RESISTANCE connected in PARALLEL so that galvanometer CAN MEASURE CURRENT WITHOUT GETTING BLOWN UP RYT???? ... ALSO WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF GALVANOMETER???
Superb. A doubt .why not we connect a resistance in the path that goes thru the galvanometer in such a way that only upto 10 microamp can enter that path.
I wanted to ask a basic question. Why doesn't the shunt burn/fuse? Because huge current is passing through it, and as we know heat (H)= i²rt, so well by this logic, it should heat up to higher temperatures if kept on for very long time right?
I gave it 10A current and the shunt took all of it except 10uA, and that 10uA caused a full meter reading informing us that the current flowed is 10A. But, if I give it 5A current, will shunt let the same amount of current pass through it i.e, (10A-10uA)? If it let this amount pass through it(which is nearly equal to 10A), all the 5A current will pass through the shunt i.e, galvanometer Will show ne deflection cuz no current is passing through it. (In short: Will shunt tend to take 10A-10uA current even if we give it 5A current?) Please correct me what am I assuming wrong.
its just like mate if you want to measure 5A current then you want the galvanometre to get 5 mico ampere and all the left remaining current will have to pass through shunt which will be then ( 5A-5 micro Ampeere) hope that helps!
The only teacher who asks students not to memorise formulae and allows students to think and try it out by themselves❤️🔥❤️
Thank you sir 🙏
okay

If u already knows that 10A current u have to measure nd u have to extend range of Galvanometer according to it... Then, what was the need to measure it u already knows 10A current flows through it
10 A is the limit.
but now we can measure any current from 0-10 A
previously it was only from 0-10 microA
Great work❤

Coz we need the remaining current too
That cannot be done because current does not change in series connection irrespective of resistance
