      CBK is on the payroll of TCL he can't really say that it is an overpriced phone, and that you should spend your money elsewhere. He was even praising the never existing speed of the KeyOne when it was released. If he would be honest he would admit that updates are never on time, speed of the device is midrange and build quality of keyboards is varying heavily from device to device.... Dunno why it is that difficult to built a decent phone with the keyboard of the Classic, proper screen and camera. Then, I would be actually willing to pay 699€ for that.

    Completely agree with you Ole. Management of this company should be changed, all that they have been doing is degrade the Blackberry brand. I still have my Blackberry Silver Passport and you can tell it was manufactured with the criteria of quality first. Not the case anymore, should they continue in this path the brand will disappear and my Passport will become a valuable relic.

      Passport se really was the peak of bb. I remembered I daily beat up the se drops crushing by pallets and it only ever had 1 dent. Not to mention the amazing batterylife. I really miss the durable blackberry phones. Imo if it has a phys keyboard it needs to be very durable.

      @@EdgarDeSola I personally didnt like the lack of apps on it. I would personally still be on the passport if it had netflix, amazon video, ebay, etrade. And a handfull of others. That is literally it. The lack of good apps. I mean the stereo was phenomenal! And the fact that they keytwo doesnt have two speakers is unbearable. I used my passport for conference calls.

      while it's true i think you shouldn't compare it to the pocophone since this phone destroys every other phone out there and xiaomi doesn't really gain much from hardware while bb or tcl are just a dying company that want to gain as much as it can how ever even if we compare it to 700 dollars phones they are still so overpriced and that's disapointing...i still can' figure out what the point of a bb with no capacitive keybad and only a 3000mah battery...

      Jan Ole, good review! Like you I wish that BlackBerry (Mobile) would get the camera right. I mean a good one as well in low light. Also I see a need to be consistent with a Bold type keyboard for all models. Then price them based on the other factors: construction type, ram capacity, processor speed, etc. I got my Bold 9900 out of storage just to feel the magic of those keys again. I haven't tried the KEY2 keys. I hope you can go back to BlackBerry in the not too distant future.

    Hey oleh, man I used this technique you are talking about in the video where you talk about deleting android apk files, and went for the blackberry link you suggested there. My android apps have been deleted properly and completely. I am using a BlackBerry 10 Classic. I have a problem though, the sapce in my internal storage is becoming full and I don't see the cause. I have nothing in my files, it's just apps in my phone. My memory card is having lots of free space. How do I make sure that the internal storage gets freed up? It has 16 gig of storage and it's now left with 500MB. It's a problem. Any solutions? I want to have space. I tried everything. Any solutions you have there? I left a comment in the video and you haven't replied.

    Good job with the review, mate. Really nice how fast your subscribers have grown in a year as well. I held off in buying the over priced Key2 waiting for the LE reviews. And as much I a like the look of the red color, I have to agree that if they took away the keyboard swipe, that totally messes up productivity. Although I am happy to hear that the camera version is a little better. Look they just can't seem to get it completely right. They should have just knocked off $150 from the Key2 and add various colors like they did with the LE. What the heck is wrong with this staggering company that can't pay attention to consumer and get it right? Now I think that I will just wait for the "buy like new" version of the Key2 as more people will likely start to sell theirs for the price that I would not mind paying $450-$500 and I will buy some red trimmers. Finally, don't worry about Blackberry hating your honesty. They need you and any other remaining support out there.

    Also, the premium in the price is the bread and butter of Blackberry, which is "security." It's a fixed cost in the production of every phone BB has made in the past. Now BB farms out the manufacturing and charges the manufacturer money for the use of the Blackberry brand while simultaneously mandating that every Blackberry branded phone be equipped with BB's mobile security technology.

      I so agree with you. I find the predicament that most r reviewers find themselves i in is they're of a certain age group and their interest are kind of the same. I respect they have to cater to where their demographic is but, when it comes to certain product and other's needs, how useful is this opinion? I don't need a camera on my mobile but, I can use a keyboard, security, full day battery, good size screen. I could care less about gaming but, I could use a processor that can keep up with documents and the suite of production software I use. The ability to sync with other hardware like printers, larger monitors and projection equipment; where is that review. This is the reason why companies like BlackBerry and Microsoft are scrambling to keep up because people are being put in a box, and everyone is being lead in one direction.

Honestly I love it, my Keyone just slowed to a crawl and call quality was getting pretty bad. Maybe due to the fact it only had 3GB of Ram or maybe another reason. I've not been convinced to change to any other phone I am not wanting to lose those three. Especially given the added bonus of my Passport's uniqueness compared to other phones. I wish BlackBerry would have focused on transitioning the Passport model into a reliable and secure android operating system instead of inventing the lesser quality/decreased functionality of the newer Blackberries. Once again, I am left feeling grateful and resolute that for now I'm still uber satisfied with my Passport SE

    I'm confused here. Why would Blackberry actually release a "Cheaper" version of the Key2 which equals to a crappier version of the Key2 as well. The Key2 by all standards in 2018, was already a disappointment when compared to other Flagship devices in the same Price range. How I miss the the times when the Bold 9900 was released. That phone made a much bigger impression on the world than the Key2 or even yet, the Key2 LE...

    Gosh - I did not think of the businesses buying the phone - for cash really; for their employees. So that $400 or $450 USD price point might be a big deal; and "status quo Android users" .. well you won't miss what you never had .. and the regular one for folks who need that productivity. We also all know cellphone contracts contain $10-$25 of payment for the cellphone in it .. which if you crunch some number .. that $400-$500 figure is what that covers for $0 up front cost AND that allows retail pricing (ie profit) for the provider. Battery, I was thinking .. how much could it have cost .. $1 .. my suspicion is that with the lower processor they did not want the "LE" to have longer battery life than the regular KEY2 (figuring the boss will get the regular one, and staff the LE). Camera .. my KEYone is actually really nice .. but as someone said "in a vacuum" .. so I love the quality of the photos but if someone beside me has say a Samsung or Apple .. oh .. now mine are not nearly as nice often (if I use the aperture adjustment, it does help a lot). I wonder why InstaGram would have an issue .. I will have to look at your video on it (a lot of people do use the instagram stories so that should have been tested .. or repaired soon). Lastly the KEY2 price, I think they have a cushion in there .. cellphone companies want that profit .. so say an Apple $1000 has $300 for the cellphone company) .. KEYone I bet it was tight at $100 .. KEY2 they wanted to get that $250 to $300 profit in there so that the vendors will actually "try to sell" the phones .. right now it is a bit like pulling teeth as I'm sure the salespeople make more commission off other phones.

However I'm not (surely alot of bb fans too) willing to pay for hardware that does not translate to on paper. Android is not iOS or BB10 , it is simply a monster that needs shit ton of power to keep itself running. Blackberry was not about raw power but consistent performance , so atleast put a SD 835.

    • @blackrosegallade9667
      @blackrosegallade9667 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's the thing. Wjen you don't have developers, people would be less likely to use your OS. And the other problem is Android and OIS. Android can deny their apps on BBOS so you're limited to the web browser and other basic apps. And with IOS, Apple built upan eco system that people don't want to leave. And the same could be said with Android. You may like an OS but there's no denying that it'll be hard using that OS if it isn't Android or IOS. Also, Blackberry was baught out by TCL so Blackberry just became a name instead of an independent company. So even if Blackberry wants to revive BBOS, chances are, they can't unless TCL gives the OS the green light.

BB 10 is still usable and it will be in the future even though they will shut down BB store at the end of 2019 and you won't be able to use all the apps.
